Chapter 756: Chapter 755: No More Trouble for Young Master Peary

So, *now* he acknowledges me as his daughter? How utterly ridiculous.

Nia Mitchell didn’t say anything more, nor did Molly Harguez, and silence suddenly enveloped the room.

Before long, the attending doctor and the director arrived. Upon seeing Nia Mitchell sitting off to the side, the director subconsciously looked around but didn’t spot Young Master Peary.

"Did the patient feel any discomfort today?" the attending doctor asked as he approached, checked the various medical instruments, and then conducted a further examination.

"No," Aldy Mitchell replied, shaking his head.

The doctor nodded. Many things couldn’t be gauged just by observation, but the absence of pain didn’t necessarily mean there was no problem. "Today, many of the test results will be out. The preliminary diagnosis indicates a blood clot in his brain. Surgery is required for its removal."

The doctor turned to look at Nia’s father and Molly Harguez, as the patient was their son.

"Surgery?" Molly Harguez had known beforehand that her son might need cranial surgery, but now that it was brought up, she still found it difficult to accept.

"Yes, this requires parental consent. However, we strongly recommend proceeding with the surgery."

Molly Harguez stared blankly at Nia’s father, utterly at a loss. Nia’s father also stood there, unable to utter a word for a long moment.

Nia Mitchell frowned and looked up at the attending doctor. "Is there any risk if we proceed with the surgery?"

The doctor nodded. "Yes, no surgery is entirely risk-free."

Nia Mitchell nodded. After seeing off the doctor and the director, she turned to look at her father. "I don’t think we can do this surgery. Even if we do, it can’t be done here."

As soon as Nia Mitchell spoke, Molly Harguez immediately retorted, "What do you mean? What do you mean it can’t be done? Are you wishing for my son to die?"

...Why does Molly always have to counter whatever I say? Are we natural-born adversaries?

"I said, it shouldn’t be done *here*," Nia Mitchell stated, her face darkening as she shot Molly Harguez an annoyed glare. "The medical standards in D City are simply not advanced enough. The risk for such a surgery is too high. If we decide to do it, it should be performed in a major hospital in a larger city."

What Nia Mitchell said made sense, and her father fully agreed.

After hearing Nia Mitchell’s words, Molly Harguez fell silent. She had to admit Nia was right. Go to Capital Town? That was the only thought on her mind. If they went to Capital Town, it would be feasible. After all, Nia is in Capital Town, and so is Young Master Peary. He would certainly be able to help with many things.

Nia Mitchell had also considered this. She turned to look at Aldy Mitchell lying on the bed. "I will discuss this matter with him."

Nia Mitchell wasn’t someone who disregarded everything; she clearly distinguished between kindness and grievances. Molly Harguez was the one who constantly targeted her; Aldy Mitchell had nothing to do with it. She couldn’t let Aldy’s condition worsen.

Upon hearing Nia Mitchell’s words, her father’s eyes brimmed with tears. "We’ll go by ourselves. You don’t need to trouble him."

The more they troubled Young Master Peary, the deeper Nia might fall. A debt of gratitude was always difficult to repay. His daughter, such a lovely girl, couldn’t have her life ruined like this. Besides, she was already married.
