Once inside the ascending elevator and having successfully ditched the trio, Chen Wei breathed a sigh of relief. "I really thought you were going to let them get on."

"Do I look that kind?" Ye Yuning retorted, an eyebrow raised.

Chen Wei was speechless.

Well, whether President Ye ended up at a disadvantage or not always depended on her whim, Chen Wei mused. Clearly, she had no intention of being at a disadvantage today.

Chen Wei and Ye Yuning assumed Ye Tong and her companions were there to cause more trouble. Refusing to share the elevator would only delay them; they would find another way up eventually.

They left Ye Tong and her companions standing there, completely ignored.
