Chapter 200: Stop staring at the Dawn

Theo’s POV:

I expected him to get disappointed by my actions as Ivory did—but surprisingly, Samuel was calm. He folded the scroll neatly and placed it near to his food plate on the dining table.

"Then, I guess that it is time for us to go," he smiled at me.

Then I understood the reason why he was composed. He knows what will happen in the future. So this circumstance is probably going to end up in my favor too!

"Lord Samuel—’’ Ivory interrupted. "How can you smile like this? We are in so much trouble now!"

Samuel gazed down at Ivory, who was standing now in front of him, and said, "There is a big difference between being in trouble and chaos. We are just in chaos now—and we can turn this to our advantage."

Ivory seemed to agree with his statements—as she knows that I am a master in creating chaos and getting away with it!

The palace Fae guards directed the three of us to the King’s chamber. For a brief moment, I thought that Oberon was involved in this. Has he gone dim-witted like his son?

Perhaps what they say is true about the oldlings like him. He has been alive since the medieval era—and it is natural that his thinking capability gets diminished by time.

As soon as I got into the chamber, my eyes searched for her. She was standing beside the window and frowned at me.

Her long golden locks covered her face partially. I wanted to run over there and tug her hair behind her ear. It was so hard for me to resist myself from doing that!

But she was cursing me in her mind. I wasn’t a bit offended even when she thought that she wanted to rip off my throat with her sharp nails. Instead, I just beamed at her. She is so wild today!

’Theo, stop looking at her. You are supposed to act now,’ Ivory whispered in my head. ’

Holy Aiden! How can I forget about my quest? I immediately turned my attention to the lame prince who was standing in front of me. Beside him stood the King’s loyal slave Edwin.

Other than that, no one else was in the chamber. So Oberon is not involved in this! I tried to penetrate into the mind of the lame prince—but I wasn’t able to do it.

I was impressed! Who would have thought that the lame prince has the gift of the strong psychic shield? It was not very difficult to penetrate into Edwin’s mind. But his thoughts were very clustered.

So I decided to get in Celestia’s mind instead. It is always easy to get into her head—as her psychic shield is always weak. If I want now, then I can even make her do things according to my will!

But never have I ever tried that with her! Nor am I planning to do that anytime in the future. She has to acknowledge me with her real mind. I want real love from her!

After I scanned her thoughts entirely, I came to know that Oberon is not in the castle. This makes my circumstance even more favorable than before. With that old man not being here, I can easily trick these dim-wits.

There was a long silence in the room for a brief moment—and Darius was giving me a skeptical glare. He looked at my purple armor as if I was hiding something behind it. Well, I was hiding the little dead rock stone in my sheath.

That is the only thing that has been concealing my identity now. But Celestia was still able to sense who I am. This is a mystery even to me!

Samuel was the first one to break the silence of the room. "I was informed by the King that I would be given a task to perform. But where is his highness now?"

"You three can stop acting now," Darius shouted when he had his eyes on me. "I know exactly what is going on here—the Dawn has told me who you really are. You are Silver Shadow, aren’t you?"

Wrong move, Darius! Hasn’t your shrewd father taught you nothing? If you confront your opponent at the beginning, then you alert them from coming out of their shell.

I put on a fake shocking expression on my face and took a step back from him. "What?! Me? Silver Shadow?"

Samuel was doing a good job of acting shocked, just like me. "Prince Darius, what kind of allegation is this? How can you say that my son is the Silver Shadow?"

Darius grabbed the neckline of my robe and dragged me near him. My anger intensified like a burning fire. But I resisted myself for the sake of not blowing up my cover.

"Reveal yourself to me, trickster! Or I will make you do it—."

I reminded myself that maintaining my cover is more important than my pride. I had to look at my love to control my temper—while she was thinking about slapping me for giving me nightmares.

I don’t know when my love is going to understand that I am not tempting her into loving me. It is all her! She subconsciously desires me, just like I do—but she refuses to accept her true feelings.

She is concealing the love she has for me with her anger and vengeance. And that is exactly why she is not peaceful in her mind! But she is not going to be in this state for long—I am here to give her salvation.

Suddenly, Darius slapped my face hard and brought me back to my senses. Oh my! Did I stare at my sweetness for too long?

"If you look at the Dawn one more time, then I am going to dig your eyeballs from your eye sockets—"

Darius is playing with my temper now! I don’t know what kind of game fates are playing with me.

I am getting bashed by this dumb prince for looking at something that actually belongs to me!
