Chapter 702: Not Zombie Leader?!

Tundra’s grip tightened on the railing of the watchtower. Thankfully, the sound attack didn’t last that long...

"Well. There you are..." he muttered.

He activated his comms.

"Status report!"

"Five soldiers incapacitated. Two Warden Units are offline. Minor structural resonance damage. Medics moving!" someone reported.

"Snipers, refocus on that Zombie Leader or something... Aim for its brain... If it has one!"

"Machine guns, slow its advance. Super Soldiers—do NOT engage until I give the word!"

With his Talent, he activated one of his bombs near the large Zombie.

Boom!

It was one of his Explosive Fire Bombs... frёewebηovel.cѳm

Tundra’s eyes lit up with anticipation. Seeing that the Zombie was injured from that bomb. It means that its weakness was most likely fire as well.

"Alright... let’s see how much you can take..."

Just like that, Tundra activated the bombs he planted as a trap...

Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions followed, and it also eliminated most of the Zombie Horde attacking them.

A series of notifications appeared in front of him, but there was no confirmation about the death of the Zombie Leader...

Tundra didn’t wait for the dust to clear up as he saw the shadow of the Zombie Leader. It was just continuously moving forward!

Soon, he selected two bomb types from his arsenal.

Graviton Imploder to trap the Zombie Leader mid-step, and Cryo-Stasis Charge freezes its movement once pulled in.

As soon as it reached the 100-meter mark from the wall, he would throw them both.

Tundra prepared his bombs as he locked onto the position of the incoming monstrosity.

The massive, armored figure of the zombie continued to lumber forward, dragging its third limb behind like a meat-slick club.

Despite the series of explosions that had erased much of the horde, this creature—this aberration—didn’t slow down.

Each of its steps made the ground shudder.

"It’s not even flinching..." Tundra muttered.

The moment it reached the 100-meter mark, he immediately made his move...

"Eat this..."

With his current strength, his throw came so fast... However, it landed on the ground.

"Well... Whatever..."

Tundra didn’t mind this as he activated the Graviton Imploder.

A deep pulse followed as the earth trembled. There was a sudden twist of gravitational distortion that snapped into place close to its body...

The air warped as dirt, broken stones, and even a few scattered zombie corpses were yanked inward, dragging the colossal zombie’s limbs toward the epicenter!

It was such a strange bomb that even Tundra himself couldn’t help but admire. After all, it was very cheap!

The only concern was the fact that it didn’t care about friend or foe.

The behemoth screeched, its tongues flailed wildly as it stumbled, and one leg was forced back mid-step.

"Next!" Tundra triggered the next.

Cryo-Stasis Charge Activated!

A second explosion erupted—this time with a shimmering burst of blue mist. A wave of cold surged outward, flash-freezing the already collapsed terrain.

Although it probably had a high resistance against frost, Tundra wasn’t planning to kill it with the ice. He simply wanted the Zombie to stop moving!

Soon, frosted mist enveloped the giant zombie, and ice crept rapidly along its already distorted flesh.

The tongues twitched and then stopped.

For a second, that Zombie was still.

It should be enough!

Tundra’s voice could then be heard across the battlefield even without the comm-crystal...

"Super Soldiers—NOW!"

Just like that, the Super Soldiers made their move.

Seven of them in total launched from their position, as they all wished to be the killer of the Zombie...

Then, their Aura ignited as they covered not just their bodies but also the weapons in their hands.

One of the Super Soldiers who wielded twin sabers was the first to arrive, using his weapon with Lightnight Effect to cut through the skin of the Zombie...

Bam! Bam!

The next Super Soldier had a hammer glowing in red flame.

The third Super Soldier, on the other hand, activated his spear’s effect that could pierce through steel...

"Kill them..."

Just like that, the rest of them blitzed the frozen monstrosity.

BHAM!

The hammer struck once again, shattering a chunk of ice off its shoulder...

CLANG! SLASH!

The twin-saber user also didn’t stop, carving twin arcs through the zombie’s ribcage.

The others continued attacking, targeting limbs, joints, and the three twitching tongues—but just as the last of the ice cracked from the Cryo-Stasis Charge...

ROOOOOAAAAARRR!!!

The creature screamed—not in pain, but in fury.

A sonic explosion erupted from its open mouth, blasting two Super Soldiers backward. One tumbled across the field, but his armor saved him. The other coughed blood but quickly rolled back onto his feet.

"Damn it! It’s not a Leader... It’s tougher!" one of them shouted.

"It must be a Zombie King!"

The zombie lunged.

It moved faster than its bulk should’ve allowed, dragging that long third arm and swinging it like a flail.

BOOM!

The ground erupted as it slammed the limb down.

Dirt and debris exploded skyward. One soldier’s shield had even shattered on impact.

Perhaps, they would’ve believed that this Zombie was a Zombie Lord, seeing such strength. However, Zombie Lords would announce their presence through system notification, telling them that they’ve entered a Zombie Lord Territory.

This one, however, didn’t give any warning at all.

"There’s no way a Zombie King could be this strong..."

"They’ve really mutated."

"I heard about him from Lord Shane. As the Foreign Survivors get stronger, the Zombies will do the same. It must be true."

"Tsk... Focus on the enemy!"

The Super Soldiers couldn’t help but get serious...

In any case, there was only one Zombie right now. Even if it was incredibly strong, it was no way stronger than the Zombie Lords they had defeated before.

Another soldier jumped on its back, driving an aura-infused dagger into its neck—but the zombie bent backward unnaturally, grabbing the soldier with one of its tongues and hurling him fifty meters into a half-destroyed tree.

Boom!
