Global Lord: My Undead Can Undergo Fission-Chapter 36 - Different Choices
Chapter 36: Chapter 36 Different Choices
Chapter 36 -36 Different Choices
The situation had suddenly turned sour, something no one had anticipated.
“Trap, those Undead must have spotted us earlier, this is their setup,” someone said.
“Damn it, how could they have so many?
There aren’t enough living creatures in this area to supply them.” Muras had traveled extensively and knew quite a bit about Undead Creatures.
Normally, to create an Undead Creature, you couldn’t just use one corpse, or the whole world would be overrun by them.
To create Undead, many conditions need to be met, and at least it typically takes several corpses to make one.
Unless it was the direct control by an Undead Mage, but even then, the number of Undead they could control was limited; it wasn’t possible to create so many.
Muras didn’t have a deep understanding of the territory of the Undead Camp.
He also didn’t know that someone was actually using traded farmers and Fission to rapidly produce so many Skeletons.
They seemed endless, and more Skeletons kept gathering.
Given the number, even if they fought to the death, they might not be able to kill them all and could even be annihilated here.
At this moment, the three Clan Leaders regretted their rash decision to burst in.
From the air, the land had transformed into a bizarre sight.
There were two mountains on either side, with a more colorful Beastman region in between, the rest were swathes of white, looking like a strange flower.
“What do we do?
We can’t keep this up, we’re running out of time,” Ganier said calmly.
“Charge through, we must charge through.
There’s a military formation behind us, indicating a more powerful commander, our only chance is to push forward,” Muras looked ahead, his eyes hardening.
“No, we can’t go forward, we must retreat.
If the commander behind is using military formations, it means we’re dealing with their leader.
If we take out their leader, we can escape.”
That’s the nature of these Undead Creatures; without a leader, they would fall into disarray.
In fact, some Undead Creatures would even hunt each other, absorbing each other’s strength to enhance themselves, which was instinctual for them.
Of course, Hao Si had his own selfish reasons for this since his own territory was in that direction and there were still plenty of people in his territory.
Even at great risk, he wanted to get the situation here back to them.
In contrast, Muras’s Werewolf tribe was mostly present in this area.
Those left behind were just some children and elders.
In such a situation, leading his people to charge out and abandon the children and elders was the best choice.
After all, all their adult women had been brought out, and they could still repopulate somewhere else.
“Everyone, follow me; let’s charge through,” Muras glanced at Hao Si and immediately gave the command.
Large numbers of Wolf Riders were howling as they surged forward.
Hao Si’s eyes flickered; he knew Muras was trying to force him to make a decision.
With so many Undead around, they needed to focus their strength in one direction to have the greatest effect.
But the Skull Soldiers ahead were endless and inexhaustible.
However, the Skull Soldiers behind them were still gathering, looking like they were forming a defensive array but hadn’t fully encircled them yet.
What did the Werewolf tribe have to do with him?
Hao Si turned around and yelled, “Order all the Arrow Pigs to charge; everyone follow me!”
“What are you doing?
Don’t you know that splitting forces is a straight path to death?
The defense behind is clearly stronger.”
Hao Si took a quick glance, “I know what you want to do, but I can’t let my people die with you.
Talk any more rubbish, and we’ll fight it out here first.”
Muras was furious but helpless, only able to watch as the Arrow Pigmen charged towards the back.
Their Wolf Riders had already taken flight, and there was no stopping now.
Forcing a stop now would incur even greater losses.
Moreover, a breach had already been made in the ranks of the Skull Soldiers ahead; victory seemed imminent.
Muras gritted his teeth and led his troops forward.
They couldn’t afford to fight among themselves; internal conflict would only bring greater danger.
Ganier, watching the situation between the two allies, was caught in a dilemma, his eyes flickering, his mind racing with thoughts.
At that moment, Fang Jie was nervously watching the middle of the battlefield, unable to see anything from his position.
He could only make out a vast expanse of whiteness in front and the distant sounds of battle.
“What’s going on over there?
That’s a lot of noise.
Could someone at the bronze level have broken out?”
Fang Jie looked ahead where dust clouded the air, and shadows occasionally leaped skyward.
Without needing to look closely, Fang Jie knew those shadows were Skull Soldiers being tossed into the air.
Unfortunately, in this vast sea of Skeletons, such impacts were merely small splashes, hardly effective.
On the other side, Fang Hao, being a Skeleton, had disguised himself as a Skull Soldier, standing amidst the ranks.
He didn’t advance but commanded up close from within the troop.
As long as he didn’t rush to the front, he wouldn’t face any danger.
Who would attack a Skeleton with fervor?
As long as he didn’t reveal himself, no one would know he was at the Black Iron level.
Even the Iron Armor Zombies arranged by Fang Jie for Fang Hao were placed elsewhere.
As a large number of Arrow Pigs charged, the Skull Soldiers had little means to counter.
With Black Iron Pigmen giving up long-range attacks for a charge with Longbows, there was a real possibility that the yet-to-be-closed defensive circle could be breached.
Using his Skill, he had formed an infantry square, but the enemy’s camp was also well-trained.
“Go, stop them,” Fang Hao ordered his Iron Armor Zombies, positioning them forcefully in the path of the charge.
With the Zombies’ strong Defense Ability, the Arrow Pigs couldn’t do much.
Even the Black Iron Pigmen, upon close encounter, found it difficult to significantly damage the Zombies.
With the Zombies’ engagement, Fang Hao quickly directed Skeletons to run from the surroundings to intercept and prevent them from escaping.
What Fang Hao didn’t notice, however, was that due to the movement of Skeletons around him, other directions began to weaken.
Just then, a figure suddenly burst forth.
With a Longbow in hand, streaks of yellow light shot out, carving a path through the Skeleton army.
“Charge through; we must get the message back.”
