Chapter 54: Chapter 54 Team-up

Rosen had learned before that large families usually have access to instances that yield many attribute points, and completing instance tasks grants attribute bonuses.

This was the first time he learned that there was a space like the Tower of Trial besides these.

The attribute points that can be increased are far more than those from instances.

Since he was here, of course, he couldn’t miss it, knowing that three hundred attribute points are no small matter.

"The Tower of Trial that suddenly appears like this is rare, and once it appears, it inevitably leads to a big chaotic battle."

"You have to know that the attribute points obtained by clearing instances are only single-digit, and some simple instances even only give a symbolic attribute reward of one point, compared to the Tower of Trial, the difference is too vast."

To Rosen’s left was a bald man, with eight scar marks on his bald forehead, a monk, and his face looked somewhat cunning.

"The Tower of Trial has ten levels. Ordinary people can only enter the first level, where they can get 300 attribute points as a bonus. As for the second level, it’s said only Nangong Wan has entered, and how third level is, no one knows!"

Saying this, the bald monk kept approaching Rosen.

"I see this little benefactor might be encountering the emergence of the Tower of Trial for the first time. The tower can actually be entered in teams, usually, three people team up for maximum benefit."

Little benefactor?

Rosen was speechless.

He asked, "Aren’t the strategies saying it’s for single entry only?"

"One person enters to gain 300 attribute points, but in a three-person team, each person only gets 100 points."

The monk smiled kindly: "Based on the experience of predecessors, the calculated expectation value for three-person teams is the greatest, the benefit is the greatest, if solo, the opportunity to enter the Tower of Trial in the end is bleak."

Rosen glanced around and found that many lords were talking in groups of three, seemingly discussing tactics.

Even the bearded man who previously didn’t pay much attention to Rosen was discussing something with two other men.

It was apparent that only Rosen and the monk hadn’t formed teams around here.

Facing teams of individuals and groups of three, the odds are much lower, and Rosen did not want to be the first eliminated.

"Alright, let’s team up." Rosen said as he touched the lucky dice in his pocket.

But to be safe, he added, "But I want to see your hero first, give me some reassurance."

"Sure, that’s not a problem at all."

The monk transformed into his hero form, revealing himself to be a golden-bodied monk!

"An eighteen-armed monk?"

"No, it’s Fa Hai!"

"My God, a Great Mighty Celestial Dragon?!" Rosen was somewhat stunned.

He then looked at the transformation list, thankfully, it wasn’t Chaos Faction, so it should be fine.

Fa Hai gave Rosen a sly smile and said, "I see you have a large number of third-level units, if fortunately, we enter the Tower of Trial, just bring your strongest defense and health units, it’s said that tank units are the most favored on the first level of the Tower of Trial."

Rosen nodded at these words, though he felt the monk gave him a rather peculiar feeling.

"Based on past experiences, in the last hour of the countdown, a chaotic battle for entry rights begins, maximizing the prevention of latecomers sniping."

The monk continued: "We just need to wait for another ally to make up three people, so we won’t be at a disadvantage during the chaos."

"What are you afraid of? With my Great Mighty Celestial Dragon and the army I brought, we don’t need another ally to share the attribute points." Rosen voiced his opinion.

"Tsk tsk tsk." The monk shook his head, "You have a lot of troops, but are they high-level? Look around, most are fourth or fifth-level units, could you hold out then? Besides, there are dangers inside the Tower of Trial that require people to withstand, adding another lord means adding another army. Believe in science and the experiences of those who came before."

Rosen, hearing this, felt the monk seemed to make sense and nodded.

"Then let’s wait for another ally." He said, touching the lucky dice in his pocket again.

It was then.

A fresh army came trudging through the water from the riverbank.

The leading lord was a girl with a pockmarked face.

Her facial features were decent and delicate, but the pockmarks dragged her ninety-percent beauty down to only passable.

Seeing the girl leading the army over, the monk smiled and clapped, "See, an ally has arrived?"

Rosen touched the lucky dice in his pocket, casting a glance at the girl with the decent facial features but pockmarked face.

"What are you looking at, never seen a beauty?!" The pockmarked face girl shouted at the approaching monk.

She twirled her hair, "Even if I’m naturally gifted and one-in-a-million, you still can’t stare at me, understand?"

Rosen: "That’s a narcissistic girl..."

"I want to..." The monk was a bit stuck for words.

"Want what, you can’t even think about it, pervert!" The girl teased.

"How about I say it." Rosen took a glance at the monk whose face turned green and approached the pockmarked face girl, saying:

"You must be coming for the Tower of Trial as well, I see the countdown is almost an hour left, the three of us can form a team."

Rosen said while touching the lucky dice in his pocket.

"You’re not handsome, mice are so cute, why would I team up with you? You’re not worthy!" The pockmarked face girl shyly said, but her gaze appraised Rosen up and down.

Actually, Rosen was a bit handsome.

"Ahem..." Rosen touched the lucky dice in his pocket, somewhat embarrassed, "Then we’ll have to wait again for others, you fend for yourself later."

"Why so cold, mice are so pitiful, how can you bear to leave them behind?" The pockmarked face girl suddenly changed her tone.

Rosen could now be one hundred percent sure, this girl was nuts, calling herself a mouse!

Crazy!

"Transform into your hero for me to see, let me get some reassurance before deciding whether to team up with you." Rosen said.

The pockmarked face girl didn’t hesitate and transformed into her hero form.

She turned out to be a Brocade Rat.

No wonder, she calls herself a mouse...

Alright, a B-level hero, probably someone no one wants to team up with.

Just as Rosen was about to reject, the monk glanced at the countdown: "Let’s go with her, it’s almost chaos time, as long as one of us three gets into the Tower of Trial, it’s a success!"

Rosen immediately checked the transformation list, the Brocade Rat wasn’t Chaos Faction.

"Fine, let’s draft the ally agreement."

The three of them, through the Lord Interface, signed the ally agreement.

It was then that Rosen noticed other lords around started moving towards the Tower of Trial.

This was an attempt to gain the first-mover advantage!

Unspoken, Rosen and the other two squeezed through the surrounding armies, moving towards the Tower of Trial.

All transformed into hero forms!

Rosen secured the airborne territory as Dragon Knight, this section had fewer competitors, the easiest to approach the Tower of Trial.

One could imagine how exciting the ground battles would be given the density of competition here.

Rosen felt a bit nervous for his somewhat incompetent allies, then he touched the lucky dice in his pocket again.

Feeling quite at ease.
