Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons-Chapter 127: The Beast God Sect Made it Move.
Beneath a massive mountain, lush green grass stretched as far as the eye could see. The air was calm and peaceful, almost deceptively so, as though violence had never touched this land.
At the foot of the mountain stood a single ancient tree.
It was the only tree in the vast clearing, and thick, long vines coiled tightly around its towering trunk.
The tree rose more than ten meters high, its bark rough and weathered by time.
Its branches spread outward like skeletal arms, casting an enormous shadow over the ground below.
Coiled high among its upper branches was a terrifying cobra.
Its emerald-green scales blended perfectly with the leaves and vines, making it nearly indistinguishable from its surroundings.
Without keen observation, most would have completely overlooked its presence.
Its orb-like eyes gleamed brightly as they observed the scene below with cold vigilance.
A forked tongue flickered in and out between its poisonous fangs, tasting the air, ready to strike at the slightest sign of threat.
Beneath the ancient tree stood dozens of powerful beasts.
Each one radiated an aura more oppressive than the last. Their mere presence distorted the surrounding air, causing faint ripples in space itself.
The ground beneath their massive bodies had cracked, and their footprints were deeply imprinted into the earth as though carved by heavy machinery.
Not a single one among them was below Level 17.
These were territorial beasts, creatures that would ordinarily tear each other apart at the slightest provocation. Yet now, they stood calmly beside one another without hostility.
That alone demonstrated how unnatural this gathering was.
But given the circumstances, it was expected.
Beside each beast stood a young man or woman. Their expressions were filled with pride and confidence, their postures straight and unwavering.
They carried themselves with an air of superiority, as though they already stood above the rest of the First Floor.
The silence in the clearing was suddenly broken by a distant sound.
A low rumble.
Instantly, every head turned toward the source.
From afar, a beast came into view at astonishing speed. It was a Red Stripe Horse Tiger Beast.
A Level 16 creature known for its terrifying speed and relentless stamina.
This beast was a rare variant born from the fusion of horse and tiger bloodlines.
Its muscular body resembled that of a warhorse, yet it bore the striped fur and predatory eyes of a tiger. Its powerful limbs churned against the ground with explosive force.
Under its extreme speed, it seemed to blur with the landscape. Before anyone could fully process its approach, it had already covered the vast distance.
In less than two seconds, it arrived before the ancient tree.
The wind it generated swept through the clearing, rustling grass and vines.
The beast came to an abrupt halt.
Perched atop its back was a figure clad in a black robe.
The rider leaped down smoothly and removed the hood from his head.
He was a young man with average features, neither particularly handsome nor striking. His appearance was unremarkable, but his demeanor carried urgency.
He walked briskly forward, seemingly unbothered by the uneasy, almost panicked expression on his mount’s face.
Compared to the monstrous beasts gathered beneath the ancient tree, the Red Stripe Horse Tiger Beast was the weakest present.
It lowered its head instinctively, intimidated by the overwhelming auras surrounding it.
The other awakeners turned their gazes toward the young man, their expressions sharp and assessing.
He approached the center of the clearing and fell to one knee.
"Master," he called respectfully.
A sweet, melodious voice descended from the ancient tree above.
"How is the situation?"
The moment the voice echoed through the clearing, every awakener stiffened.
Though pleasant to the ear, it carried an indescribable authority that pressed heavily upon their hearts.
The prideful expressions on their faces faltered for a brief second, and many instinctively straightened their backs.
The young man kneeling on the ground did not dare hesitate.
"Master," he began, keeping his head lowered, "just as you suspected, the Federation has refused the alliance proposed by the Knight Order."
A faint murmur passed through some of the gathered awakeners, though no one spoke aloud.
"From what I observed," he continued, "the fracture between the two factions has widened significantly."
At those words, subtle smiles appeared on several faces.
This was precisely the outcome they had anticipated.
However, none dared to comment. They all waited silently for their leader to respond.
"The Envoy was correct," the voice from the tree said once more.
It was soothing and pleasing, yet beneath it lay a calculating sharpness.
"The Federation has likely aligned itself with another so-called god. But that serves our interests."
There was a brief pause.
"Their greed and selfishness are precisely what we require."
A faint rustling of leaves accompanied her silence.
"...It is time."
The words were simple, yet they ignited something within the clearing.
The smiles on the awakeners’ faces deepened. Their blood boiled with anticipation and excitement. They had trained tirelessly for this moment, endured hardship, and sacrificed much.
Now, the time had finally come.
A subtle shift swept through the atmosphere. The peaceful facade of the clearing cracked, revealing the storm beneath.
It was time for the entire First Floor of the Abyss to acknowledge their presence.
Time for the Abyss to begin submitting to them.
To the Beast God Sect.
To their God.
"...For our God...the only true God," their leader’s voice echoed again.
Her tone hardened.
"Anyone who refuses to join and submit to our God must be killed without exception."
The word killed lingered in the air.
"It is time to transform this forsaken Abyss into our God’s holy ground."
The beasts beneath the tree stirred slightly, as though reacting to her command.
"Go. Cleanse the land of all opposition and claim this floor as our new home...a home where we no longer need to fight meaningless battles for strength."
Her words dripped with conviction.
Listening to her, the hearts of the gathered awakeners pounded violently in their chests.
This was why they had joined the Beast God Sect.
They were tired of endless slaughter. Tired of risking their lives merely to grow stronger. Tired of the ruthless competition among awakeners.
