Chapter 128: The Tide That Change Everything

With the Beast God taking control of the First Floor, they believed they would finally live peacefully.

Some even dreamed of marriage and settling down within this new "holy ground."

As for their families above the Abyss, most had already abandoned such attachments. The world beyond seemed distant and irrelevant.

All they desired now was stability.

"For the Beast God!" they roared in unison.

Their voices shook the clearing.

Their eyes burned with fervent fanaticism.

Without hesitation, they leaped onto the backs of their respective beasts. Through silent mental commands, they mobilized.

The once peaceful clearing erupted into motion as powerful creatures surged forward in different directions, each carrying a devoted awakener upon its back.

Many believed that only those with the Beast Tamer profession could tame such powerful beasts.

They were wrong.

The Beast God Sect had uncovered an alternative method—one that allowed awakeners of various professions to form contracts with beasts.

This discovery alone had dramatically increased the sect’s allure.

While the Federation and the Knight Order believed that the Beast God Sect possessed only five Level 17 awakeners, they were gravely mistaken.

Dozens of high-level awakeners rode their mounts forward with unwavering confidence.

The beasts beneath them thundered across the land, their massive forms radiating oppressive auras that distorted the air.

Each rider sat tall and proud, eyes burning with fanatic resolve. This was the moment they had been waiting for.

Behind the departing forces, two colossal beasts remained where they stood, unmoving and silent.

They were a Level 18 Bronze Armor Rhizenorosu and a Level 18 Angel Cries Toad.

The Bronze Armor Rhizenorosu resembled a gigantic rhinoceros encased in metallic bronze plating.

Its armor-like hide reflected the sunlight in dull, heavy glints. Each breath it exhaled sounded like steam escaping from a furnace, and the earth beneath its feet had already sunk several inches from its weight.

Beside it crouched the Angel Cries Toad, an enormous amphibious creature with pale, almost translucent skin.

Faint golden patterns shimmered across its body like divine inscriptions.

Its throat sac pulsed rhythmically, emitting a faint humming sound that resembled distant weeping.

Both beasts were Level 18.

Both were absolute apex creatures on the First Floor.

"Make sure nothing goes wrong," their leader’s sweet voice rang out once again from above.

Though gentle in tone, it carried unmistakable authority. "This is our only chance."

A beautiful young woman stood atop the Level 18 Bronze Armor Rhizenorosu. Her posture was elegant, her expression confident.

"You can trust us," she replied firmly. "We will ensure that everything proceeds according to plan."

Standing beside her was a young man with striking green hair. He rode atop the Angel Cries Toad, one hand resting calmly on its broad, moist head.

"Leader," he added with a respectful bow of his head, "we will not disappoint you."

There was a brief pause.

"I hope so..." the leader responded softly. "Go now. Let the First Floor witness the true power of the Beast God Sect."

The two nodded in unison.

With a subtle mental command, their mounts began to move.

Like two mobile mountains, they advanced.

The ground trembled violently beneath each step. Fine cracks spidered outward from their footprints.

The surrounding air vibrated under the sheer pressure of their combined auras.

Though their movements appeared slow due to their enormous size, their actual speed was astonishing.

In the blink of an eye, they had already covered an incredible distance.

Within seconds, their colossal forms disappeared beyond the horizon.

Silence descended upon the clearing.

With the departure of the high-level awakeners and their beasts, the once imposing gathering place felt eerily still.

The wind died down.

The grass no longer swayed.

It was as though time itself had paused.

Then, the ancient tree began to sway.

Its massive trunk creaked, vines rustling as something immense shifted behind it.

The colossal cobra that had been coiled high within the branches slowly uncoiled, revealing its full and terrifying glory.

It was horrifying.

Frightening.

A Level 19 Diamond Scale Cobra.

On each floor of the Abyss, only a single Diamond Scale Cobra could exist.

And here it was.

Its diamond-shaped scales shimmered with a crystalline sheen, reflecting light in dazzling, deadly patterns.

Each individual scale looked harder than steel, layered seamlessly across its immense body.

As it uncoiled fully, its massive length formed what looked like a small mountain behind the ancient tree.

The illusion was so convincing that it appeared as though the tree itself stood at the base of a rocky hill.

The cobra’s golden slit pupils narrowed slightly as it surveyed its domain.

A heavy, suffocating pressure filled the clearing.

Then, from behind the cobra’s massive head, a young woman stepped forward.

She walked lightly along the serpent’s body as though strolling across a garden path.

When she reached the cobra’s head, she stopped.

Her appearance was strikingly gentle.

Her eyes were filled with innocence, her features delicate and calm.

No one unfamiliar with her would ever suspect the danger she represented.

She was the leader of the Beast God Sect.

A Level 18 Beast Tamer.

Standing atop the head of a Level 19 Diamond Scale Cobra.

Her gaze drifted toward the distant horizon where her forces had vanished.

"Taren... what are you going to do?" she murmured softly, her eyes flickering with anticipation.

Among all the awakeners on the First Floor, only Taren, the leader of the Knight Order posed any real threat to her plans.

But even he stood little chance alone.

Unless he found a powerful ally.

With the Federation refusing to support him, she already considered their grand plan half-complete.

Division among their enemies was the greatest advantage they could hope for.

All that remained now was to seize control.

To conquer the First Floor completely.

Her lips curved into a faint smile.

"Now... let’s see what the Federation is truly planning," she whispered.

At her silent command, the massive Diamond Scale Cobra began to move.

Its colossal body slid forward smoothly despite its size. The ground beneath it cracked and shifted as it advanced, yet its motion was eerily graceful.
