God of Technology: Creating the Internet in Another World-Chapter 483: Do You Want to Know the Truth?
Every person selected had tons of flight experience. Plus, they were all young folks—exceptionally talented young people who could pick up new knowledge crazy fast.
Time flew by.
The long winter wasn’t even over yet, and the intensive training was already wrapping up.
In this facility, after just a super short training period, they’d mastered everything they needed to know.
Hell, every single one of them had become Tech Combat Clerics.
Their mastery of Magic Conductors had reached an absolutely insane level.
"Today marks the final stage of this training. You guys have honestly blown past all my expectations," the instructor said, scanning the room with an excited, pumped-up voice.
"You’ve only been training here for 28 days, and you’ve already got pretty much all the skills and knowledge about the Dragon Knight Type 1 down pat."
"Starting today, you’ll officially begin flight training in the sky using Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft."
"Each of you will be assigned one Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft. Now, go say hi to your new partner!"
As the instructor finished speaking, Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft appeared before their eyes.
These aircraft had been delivered here ages ago.
Even in Roster territory, there weren’t that many people who’d mastered flying these things. While these folks were finishing up their training, the people back in Roster who knew how to fly had been busting their butts every single day, delivering Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft here one by one.
This place wasn’t exactly on flat plains either.
The training base was built right on top of the Eagle’s Nest Mountains.
Regular people couldn’t even get here, let alone haul supplies up.
If you wanted to transport stuff here, flying was the only option.
Every one of these flying tech clerics had eyes full of excitement and anticipation.
They’d already seen Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft before. That’s exactly why they were so eager.
Going through all kinds of training every day—what kept them going was this very moment.
Everyone stared excitedly at the aircraft in front of them. All the hard work from this whole time just melted away.
Watching these Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft extend their four foldable claws, stabilizing themselves in place, the runes piled on top glowing with different colors—plenty of people’s breathing started getting heavier.
As the captain of this batch of flying tech clerics, Margaret let out a light breath, her eyes burning with intensity.
Finally, time for actual combat.
She could feel every single flying tech cleric around her getting crazy excited. She could even clearly hear people’s breathing getting rushed around her.
Lots of folks were craning their necks, like stretching them out would somehow let them see better.
"Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft aren’t easy to manufacture. Right now, this is all we’ve got," the instructor said in a dead serious tone. "I hope you’ll treasure every single aircraft."
"On the battlefield, there’s definitely gonna be losses. When it’s absolutely necessary, you can use your escape equipment to bail out. You’re worth way more than the aircraft."
"But you also need to remember how scarce these aircraft are. Unless it’s really necessary, don’t take risks."
"I hope you’ll treat these Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft as your partners, just like the griffins and giant eagles you used to ride."
The flying tech clerics all swore oaths one after another, expressing their faith in the God of Technology and how much they’d cherish these aircraft...
After going through these initial procedures and introductions, the flying tech clerics finally climbed onto their Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft.
They’d already gotten a deep understanding of the Dragon Knight Type 1 through simulators.
Plus, they all had divine arts backing them up, so they got the hang of it instantly.
Following a series of commands, they took off from the cliff face.
In the distance, up in the sky, Viscount Roster watched it all with a satisfied look on his face.
Nidhogg the Dragon of Despair had a kind of weird expression on his face. "Your Church of Technology has already mastered this kind of tech? Does that mean anyone can fly around with this thing now?"
"How’s that possible? The cost of these things is huge. Not everyone can afford to maintain one. In the future, we’re planning to build some giant aircraft that can transport lots of people at once."
Viscount Roster said with a smile, "Maybe we can even team up then. Dragon Delivery could use these giant aircraft to transport cargo too."
"Did you drag me out here just to pitch this to me?" Nidhogg glanced at Viscount Roster, sounding kinda annoyed. "Or were you just trying to show off these so-called single-soldier aircraft?"
"How could I be that bored?" Viscount Roster was talking when he suddenly felt something was off. "Wait, how are you accusing me of stuff here?"
"When did I ever invite you? Earlier we were just chatting about some tourism stuff, then I got a report and wanted to come check things out. Then you got curious and insisted on flying me over here."
"How’d this become me dragging you along?"
"You brought it up right in front of me—isn’t that the same as wanting me to come see?" Nidhogg said righteously.
"That’s only because you were curious yourself!"
Viscount Roster changed the subject. "What do you think of that Margaret?"
"You mean the team leader? Not bad. For a first flight, being able to do that well is pretty impressive."
Nidhogg’s assessment was pretty objective.
She was piloting the Dragon Knight Type 1 aircraft, flying steadily through the sky, smooth and natural. Every task, every maneuver—all flowing like water.
Of course, if you only looked at her, you wouldn’t think it was anything special.
But comparison is the thief of joy. After seeing how the other flying tech clerics performed, it wasn’t hard to see her piloting was really damn good.
Seeing Viscount Roster seemed kinda lost in thought, Nidhogg said with a laugh, "Come to think of it, you guys actually trained up an army like this in such a short time. That’s pretty surprising!"
"Is this to deal with those monsters north of the watch wall? Seems kinda unnecessary though."
"If it was just to deal with those monsters, sure, there’d be no need. Hell, I could just pay you dragons to handle it. I bet you’d be willing."
Viscount Roster sighed. "Do you know about the Tulip Kingdom?"
"Of course. That’s Lady Dream’s dream. We dragons never set foot in divine territories."
Nidhogg naturally knew all about the Tulip Kingdom.
Or rather, every dragon knew about it. It was the dragons’ only forbidden zone.
