God-Tier Fishing System-Chapter 593
Within a dozen breaths, the stone door sank down an inch.
Several straight gaps appeared in the middle, extending outward like veins splitting stone.
Then—
With a low rumble, the entire stone slab divided into eight parts and spread outward along preset grooves.
A circular entrance appeared before everyone’s eyes.
Kara lowered her head and looked down.
Below was pitch-black darkness, like an abyss with no visible bottom.
"Let’s go," Ethan said calmly.
He bent down, picked up a small stone, and tossed it into the opening.
Dong—
A dull sound echoed back after a brief delay.
"About ten meters," Ethan judged. "I’ll go down first. Wait for my signal."
As soon as he finished speaking, Original Power surged around his body, forming a protective barrier. Without hesitation, he leapt down.
The wind rushed past his ears.
In just a few breaths, Ethan landed steadily on solid ground.
The instant his feet touched the floor, the darkness receded.
Soft blue light bloomed along the walls, as if awakened by his presence.
Ethan raised his eyes.
Before him stretched three identical corridors, each extending forward in perfect symmetry.
The ground was paved with rare, finely cut stone slabs, smooth and flawless. The walls on both sides were forged from a special bronze alloy, faintly gleaming under the blue light.
Bronze lamp holders were embedded at regular intervals along the walls, each bearing a small flame that burned steadily without smoke.
"...Voice-activated lamps?"
Ethan’s eyes flickered with interest.
The moment he arrived, the lamps ignited on their own.
Worthy of an emperor-level weapon refiner. Even lighting was refined to this degree.
Ethan shook off the stray thought and looked upward.
"Come down," he called out.
Moments later, Kara, Elara, and Risa descended one after another, landing beside him.
The moment they took in the scene, all three froze.
"Three paths... exactly the same."
Elara frowned. "Is this some kind of trial?"
Kara glanced around, then turned to Ethan. "Junior Brother, we’ll follow your judgment."
Ethan nodded lightly.
"Pyra," he asked inwardly, "which path?"
"Master," Pyra replied through the soul contract, "I’ve walked all three. Each ends at a sealed bronze door. I couldn’t open any of them, and I don’t know what lies beyond."
"So even you don’t know," Ethan murmured.
That meant there were no shortcuts here.
He scanned the three corridors carefully, then said, "Middle path."
Without waiting, Ethan activated the Heaven-Piercing Mind Eyes.
His perception expanded outward, weaving through the corridor like invisible threads. Every fluctuation, every irregularity was magnified.
Still, he didn’t relax.
At moments like this, complacency was the greatest enemy.
A slim, sharp dagger appeared in his hand.
With a flick of his wrist, he sent it spinning forward.
The dagger rotated at high speed, transforming into a disc of silver light as it flew down the corridor, ricocheting off the ground, ceiling, and walls.
Clang—clang—clang!
Sparks scattered, crisp sounds echoing through the passage.
After several breaths, the dagger spun back into Ethan’s palm.
No reaction.
No traps triggered.
No hidden seals.
Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"Follow me."
He stepped forward, leading the group into the central passage.
As they advanced, Ethan’s gaze swept across every inch of their surroundings, his senses sharp and alert.
A few minutes later, they reached the end of the corridor.
Just as Pyra had said, a bronze door stood there.
Formation restrictions shimmered faintly across its surface, layered and dense.
"Holographic Eyes."
Blue light flared in Ethan’s pupils.
[Holographic Eye Activated]
[Scanning Target: Relic Bronze Door]
[Material: Azurite Bronze]
[Characteristics: Special Refinement, Formation Amplification]
Ethan exhaled softly.
"Emperor Sage truly spared no expense."
This door wasn’t something brute force could crack.
It was similar to the outer bronze gate—its opening mechanism wouldn’t be on the door itself.
Ethan turned around, his gaze drifting down the corridor they had just walked through.
His eyes settled on the lamp holders lining both sides.
In his mind, the memory of the grand square outside resurfaced—the towering pillars, the symmetrical layout, the three-axis design.
One door. Three axes.
Outside, it had been the pillars and the central path.
Here...
Ethan’s eyes sharpened.
The passage itself—and the lamps on both sides.
He stepped closer to one of the lamp holders and grasped its base.
With a gentle twist—
Grinding sounds echoed.
The lamp holder rotated.
"Interesting."
Ethan inspected it more closely.
The base on the left wall was concave.
The base on the right wall was convex.
Perfect complements.
If aligned correctly...
"Mr. Ethan, did you find something?" Elara asked softly.
"I did. Step back."
Ethan raised his palm.
Original Power surged outward, splitting into thousands of fine threads that wrapped around every lamp holder in the corridor.
One by one, he rotated them.
Concave to convex.
Left to right.
Perfect alignment.
When the final lamp holder clicked into place—
Rumble!
The corridor trembled slightly.
Everyone’s eyes snapped back to the bronze door.
At its center, a circular disc began to rotate slowly.
Then it stopped.
The door restrictions dissolved like mist.
With a heavy groan, the bronze door split open to both sides.
The moment a gap appeared, Ethan’s expression turned serious.
A mysterious aura poured out.
Along with it came a cool breeze carrying a faint, refreshing fragrance.
The scent was subtle yet profound, sinking directly into the senses.
It smelled like... spiritual herbs.
As the door fully opened, Kara, Elara, and Risa exchanged glances.
They had smelled it too.
"What is this fragrance?" Elara asked quietly.
"Not poison," Ethan replied. "Spiritual plants. Go in carefully."
He stepped through the doorway.
Inside was a circular chamber.
At its center lay a round medicinal garden, where spiritual plants of various hues grew in orderly clusters, each radiating a distinct aura.
Around the garden stood stone platforms, neatly arranged.
On each platform rested brocade boxes and jade bottles, sealed and intact—clearly containing pills and elixirs.
"The ancient Fire-Repelling Blue Flower!"
Elara’s breath caught.
"And that... the Dragon-Phoenix Blood Fruit?! A holy-grade spiritual plant!"
Risa stepped closer as well, her eyes widening as she recognized several legendary herbs recorded only in ancient texts.
Kara, meanwhile, walked along the perimeter, observing the jade bottles and brocade boxes with restrained excitement.
But she was very cautious and did not dare touch anything without Ethan’s permission.
