Chapter 46 - System The Artefact.

Harry needed to prepare before going on any adventure.

Gracie also needed a solid weapon. Some pills can also help them in dire situations.

But all these things would need money, credits to be exact. Although they earned some during their fight in the arena, they won't be enough. Harry had some plans, he needed some rings to use his new skill

[Pocket dimension - level 1

Create a small, personal storage space for storing items]

He has the information to use the skill, but putting it into practice will help him master the skill. Although he can't make space items comparable to the ring that he got from the soul clan leader but making 1m³, 2m³ space won't be out of question.

Now, analysing the ring, he could feel the complexity behind the creation; there were so many intercasys; putting a space so vast in a ring was a mammoth task, and on top of that, the ring could support a lifeform in itself to some extent.

He said goodbye to Gracie and left for the market, That was there for students to sell their items or exchange items.

It was a straight path and on both sides were shops.

Not all shopkeepers were students. Some of them were merchants who sold items and some of them were servants of a student.

Harry continued walking, passing by weapons, Alchemy and blacksmith Shops. There were mostly these three types of shops. Then there were some clothing, beauty and ornaments related to shops.

Some shops had a high influx of customers while some shops rarely had one or two customers.

Harry saw an ornament shop, but there was no customer.

"What do you need" An old short lady asked indifferently.

She looked old but her movements were nowhere close to shaky.

"I would like to buy rings", Harry said noticing the items in the Glass showcase.

"We have all types of jewellery— Gold, silver, celestial, jade" Which one would you prefer?

"I would like them to be made of celestial".

This metal was the reason Harry was here; it was one of the metals that were able to withstand all types of sorcery and were far stronger.

His ring was also made of the same metal, although the quality of the metal was far greater but he was sure low level celestium would at least be able to withhold his lowly skill.

The lady did a flick and many of the rings and bracelets came out of her hand. She arranged them in a line to show Harry.

"These are the only rings and bracelets I have of celestium because people don't love to wear this metal. They mostly prefer gold and silver." She said explaining.

Harry, seeing 5 rings and 3 bracelets, nodded. He knew this metal didn't look very beautiful compared to others. But he doesn't care about looks.

"How much for all of them"

"What? All of them, What would you do?" She asked but did not give any time for Harry to answer, continued, "Who cares? Do whatever you want, just remember there is no return policy."

Harry frowned by looking at her attitude

"You forgot to tell the price".

"Yeah...Yeah... 10000 credits" She scratched her head in confusion.

Harry felt his heart pierced. He wanted to tell this lady how he risked his life to earn the money, and here he was, giving it away in exchange for some metal.

'Calm down, it is just an investment which will pay me a hundred times back' Harry reasoned and handed 10,000 credits.

"Can you make me more of the same metal?" he asked, being polite.

"I will, but it will take at least 3 days, how many do you need?"

"As many as you can make, I will come in a week and receive them" Harry informed.

"Huh! what are you? You opening a new shop?"

There was a short pause when she continued, "Who cares? Just come a week later and receive them".

Harry, shaking his head, left the shop. He was dead broke.

He wanted Qi replenishment pills for his mission. Although some low-grade level pills start with a thousand credits they have severe side effects. Pills with the least side effects were ten thousand credits each; some even had astonishing prices like twenty thousand credits each.

They also have a limit on what level of person could use and how many can be used in one go.

Differences in these aspects also affect their prices.

With his small treasure, he can't even afford a couple.

His plans were clear. First, make some space items, generate a fortune and get everything afterwards.

He was looking in the shops to see if he could find any space items, but as he was taking a fleeting glimpse, he noticed a peculiar mask in a shop.

It had a dark colour with striking red lines of vein carved; it looked ominous, and the face looked contorted, not making much sense to the eyes. It was an illusion that just looked infinitely deep.

There were other masks also; all of them had their own speciality; one was a golden one with 2 horns sticking out of it. But The black mask caught his eyes so he approached the shopkeeper.

"Special discount, buy one get one. Only for 100,000 credits" The student was announcing the price.

As he heard the price, he turned around and left the shop without looking back as if scared to meet the shopkeeper's eyes.

Harry didn't hear what the student had said before this line but he didn't have to.

"Inspect" Harry called out.

[Silver Tier Artifact: Veil of Oblivion

Passive Skill: Shroud of Anonymity

Hides the user's facial features, rendering them unrecognizable. Additionally, it places subtle mental strain on opponents, reducing their focus and causing minor disorientation.

Active Skill: Markless Existence

Removes any physical or magical marks or traces left on the user, including tracking abilities, blood trails, or curses. Cooldown: 24 hours.

Drawback: Each use of the active skill temporarily erases part of the user's memory related to their immediate past. This memory loss is cumulative if used multiple times in a day.]

It was something that he expected to stumble upon but not so early. He has already seen foundation-building weapons having these types of abilities, and the only reason they were not used for higher-level weapons was that they were not as powerful as the weapon itself.

Putting such abilities requires the weapon to lose all its powers.

But who said these abilities can't be used in items. Seeing these items, a thought came to his mind: Is the soul judgement sword a similar artefact that has such a high tier that the system can't inspect, at least for now, since the system itself can grow according to its owner?

This chapter is updat𝓮d by freēnovelkiss.com.

If he believes previous owners' research papers, then the soul judgment sword's drawback was to render a person go wild or make him crazy.

If it was correct then he needs to be more cautious using it.

Then, out of nowhere or to say from these many hints, another thought crossed his mind: What if the system itself was an artefact of the high tier?
