Chapter 51 - Safire City

"Cough... cough."

Harry thought the five fingers meant 500 credits, but this person was discarding even five lakh credits.

Harry returned to Gracie and Tyler.

"We need five people."

"Blake and Liam could join us," Tyler suggested.

"They are busy. They must have some reason to still hold there even after breaking through... We need to find two other people." Gracie started looking around to see if someone was interested in the task.

Harry also looked around. He could ask John to come since John would oblige everything he said, but bringing his contract there would be a problem.

John was not strong enough. Bringing him would put both him and his group in danger.

He saw Gracie pointing toward a pair of students asking others something.

One of them was familiar. It was none other than Eldrich. With him was a girl whom he didn't know.

"Hello, Watery!" Tyler said loudly. It was not that he wanted them to join his team—he was completely unaware of Harry and Gracie's last discussion with Eldrich.

Tyler just saw Eldrich and wanted to show how they could beat him now. He remembered challenging him while coming out of the cafeteria.

But then he saw a punch approaching so fast that it would have crushed his skull. His intuition told him to dodge to the right, but it was not enough. The hand changed direction toward his head, and then it hit—not a punch, but a flick of fingers.

"Aww, it hurts!" Tyler called out.

"You better behave, or next time, it will be your nose," Gracie said, pulling her hand back.

Hearing the loud screams, Eldrich focused on the voice, where he found a person massaging his temples.

Gracie and Harry stood beside him, waving their hands in the air.

He reluctantly waved back and turned to leave.

But before he could, Harry stood beside him.

"Hi, friends. Wanna join us on a quest?"

"No thanks, we are not interested," Eldrich rejected.

"The lady must be interested. We need two more people," Harry persisted, ignoring Eldrich.

"On which quest?" The girl seemed interested.

"We are going into the Darkwood Jungle to kill a pack of wolves," Gracie said, joining the conversation.

"Hmm... that one. It would be challenging. I hope you have enough manpower," the girl said.

It was fair. If any of the members were lacking, they could face severe consequences.

"I am level three, and she is level four. On top of that, she is a soul cultivator," Harry said.

"What about the third one?"

"He is kinda more tactical. He can fight with almost all types of weapons, but he is still in the Foundation Building realm," Gracie answered. She wasn't liking the conversation, but she knew these types of mistakes could cost them their lives.

The girl pulled Eldrich to the side.

It seemed they weres arguing and Based on their body language, Eldrich looked submissive while the girl was doing most of the talking.

"I am Nephis. I hope we will get along."

It was the answer they needed.

Group went to the receptionist and handed over their badges, which were taken as proof and to update the records.

They were picked up by a vehicle from the academy.

Seeing the three of them empty-handed, Eldrich and Nephis were confused.

"You didn't bring any luggage?"

"Don't tell me it's your first time. But even if it is, the academy teaches the basics in lectures," Nephis frowned.

Harry showed his ring. "I have everything inside."

Both Eldrich and Nephis raised their brows.

"A space ring... You are from a rich family," Eldrich said. He was also from a wealthy family, but not wealthy enough for them to distribute space rings to their kids.

Even though all the elders had but giving space rings to kids was far-fetched.

Harry was not interested in explaining how he was living out there, where he could watch movies and play games.

"Yeah, you can say that." He lied not interested to entertain. He touched his nose, remembering a story.

"Then would you mind if—"

"I won't." Before they could complete their sentence, Harry took the luggage and put it inside the ring.

Eldrich and Nephis instinctively kept their weapons close.

He would have enjoyed their reaction even more if he told them that Tyler and Gracie also had their own space bracelets.

It was not like they were hiding it. Both would surely find out in the future.

Tyler was not in a great mood. He had been silent since then.

The same was the case for Eldrich. He had not talked much since then.

"Reached the safire city" the driver said.

The atmosphere was lively, Buildings towered over their heads. People were casually walking while their weapons were tied to them. It was funny how weapons had become normalized.

Many of them had bags on their backs. Shops and restaurants lined the streets.

When their vehicle passed some people, all eyes were focused on them.

The vehicle itself had a picture of a griffin on its body.

It indicated that the vehicle was from the academy, and while it was not rare to see these vehicles, the academy held so much importance that ignoring it was impossible.

many people were there who wanted to join but had no luck.

The group had no plan of stopping in the city, we will cross it directly and enter the Darkwood Jungle.

Meanwhile...

New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.

"We spotted an academy vehicle in the city."

"As Young Master mentioned, it is heading towards the Darkwood Jungle," a person holding a black, brick-like communicator said.

He was wearing a black robe while carrying no weapon. His thick hair and beard covered most of his facial features.

"Okay, follow them. I am sure you will handle them, but be aware—those kids won't pose much of a problem, but it seems the Soul Clan is also on the move." The communicator crackled.

"Th..the ex..act reason is unknown, but as we are informed, that girl and the kid are soul cultivators... The Edward Family is not in a position to take soul clans wrath," a deep and imposing voice came from the other side.

"Should I send some assistance?" the voice asked.

"No. I am already at the seventh level of the Elemental Master realm, while none of them should be over the third level. I will handle them. The problem is Eldrich. It won't be good if his family finds out about this... I will avoid killing him, but I can't promise."

"No, don't hold back. Just remember not to leave any evidence behind."

At the same time, two fragile-looking men were waiting on the periphery of the Darkwood Jungle.

"Do you think they will join us?" one of them asked.

"It's hard to tell since the academy must have already brainwashed them," the second person said.

"If they can be manipulated so easily, then who needs them? It would be better to just get rid of them."
