Goodbye, Ex-husband! I'm Pregnant with Your Uncle's Child!-Chapter 53 - Stay Focused
53: Chapter 53 Stay Focused
53 -53 Stay Focused
Julia Land had made White Tuber Porridge today.
The porridge, kept in a thermos, was delivered to the Quarter Family building, after which she called Alexander Strong.
“Julia, the chairman instructed that you can bring it directly to the office.”
Surprised, Julia responded, “Okay, thank you.”
She drove into the parking lot, got out of her car with the thermos, not expecting that he would actually ask her to bring it up.
Taking the elevator, when the doors opened, Julia, familiar with the path, greeted the assistant secretary she used to work with.

“Secretary Land…
wait, old habits die hard, Miss Land, the Chairman has asked you to sit in his office and wait for a moment,” Assistant Secretary Ivy Wilson opened the door for her.
“Thank you,” Julia smiled.
She walked into the office, glanced around, and noticed nothing had changed.
Ivy brought her a cup of coffee, then went out to continue her duties.
Julia didn’t have to wait long; the door opened and the tall figure of Noah Quarter walked in, his expression cool and detached, followed by Alexander Strong.
Noah hung his suit jacket on the rack, his icy gaze turned towards Julia.
Julia didn’t stand up; she was no longer his secretary.
Alexander placed some documents on the desk, nodded at Julia, and then left the office.
He was a bit puzzled as to why the Boss had Julia bring up the porridge today?
Alexander always felt that, deep down, the Boss cared a lot about Julia but was harsh towards her.
However, when Alexander thought of Arabella Shaw, he dismissed his suspicions,
The Boss’s obsession with Arabella Shaw was well known to all.
Today, Julia was wearing a V-neck, cinched waist dress with a slit, her legs crossed, her thighs fair.
Noah sat down and glanced briefly at Julia.
Julia checked the time; she had to head to Strong Health for work soon and was running out of time.
She stood up, placed the thermos on Noah’s desk, “I made some pork stomach porridge today; give it a try.
I have to head to work now, so I’m leaving first.”
“Julia, let’s talk first.”
Julia paused, her eyes smiling, “Okay.”
Noah leaned back in his chair, his expression slightly cold, his voice deep, “Stop bringing porridge here; I won’t eat it.”
Julia’s breath hitched.
The office fell silent for a moment.
Noah opened the folder on the desk, “Take it away.”
Julia’s lips twitched slightly as she always knew this man was emotionally cold.
She leaned forward, her hands on the desk.
“Noah,” she called out.
Noah’s dark eyes stared at the woman approaching him, something he wouldn’t have allowed before from Julia.
Her scent enveloped him.
His legs were crossed.
It masked the fleeting desire that surged within him.
Julia smiled, straightened up, “If you don’t want it, you can throw it away.
I have to go to work now, I’m leaving.”
With that, she walked out in her heels, leaving the thermos evidently forsaken on the desk.
**
“Secretary Land, you are 2 minutes and 1 second late.”
Julia, holding her coffee, had just entered the office when she looked up to see Thomas Sullivan leaning against the sofa.
The man’s long legs were resting on the coffee table, his fingers pinching a cigarette held in his mouth, his left hand lifted to check his watch.
“Good morning.”
Julia set down her coffee, went about her work, opened the curtains, and started organizing the documents on the desk, setting aside those already signed for delivery to the respective departments.
Seeing Julia’s cold demeanor, Thomas’s sharp eyes slightly raised, “Is it that time of the month?”
His face suddenly stern.
“These documents are urgent; sign them early,” Julia brought over five files to the sofa where she even opened the pen cap for him.
The topic of menstruation was dropped.
Thomas swung his legs off the coffee table, took the documents, and removed the cigarette from his mouth.
Julia Land reached out her hand and took the cigarette held between his fingers.
The smoke swirling cigarette looked attractive against her pale white fingers.
Thomas Sullivan glanced at it, lowered his gaze to flip through the documents, found no issues, and signed them while resting them on his thigh.
His tight thighs pressed against his suit pants.
The muscles he had developed recently made his pants a little tight.
The man chuckled disdainfully, “Buy me some suit pants after work.”
Julia Land’s job responsibilities also included preparing clothes and pants for her single boss.
Previously, when she was with Noah Quarter, she was in charge of his clothes.
Thinking of Noah reminded her of their unpleasant conversation that morning.
“I’ll measure you in a bit.”
Julia Land handed him back the cigarette, took the signed documents, left the office, and called the relevant department to come and collect them.
After finishing her tasks, she grabbed a tape measure and entered Thomas Sullivan’s office.
Thomas Sullivan stood cooperatively, stretching out his arms for her to measure.
If she was buying pants, she obviously needed to buy shirts too.
Julia Land measured his chest, waist, and arm length.
She bent down to measure his hips.
Thomas Sullivan did not look away, especially as she was wearing a V-neck today.
“Thighs.” Julia Land squatted down, wrapped the tape measure around Thomas Sullivan’s tight thigh, and memorized the numbers.
Suddenly, a sparing voice came from above, “Secretary Land, I am a man, don’t get too close.”
His words carried a profound meaning.
Julia Land rolled her eyes, stood up after taking the measurements, retracted the tape measure, and left the office.
She spoke less than usual today.
Thomas Sullivan raised an eyebrow, noticing she didn’t talk back and silently walked out, “She’s not herself today.”
After work, Julia Land headed to the mall, and Thomas Sullivan followed her into the car.
“Aren’t you visiting Chloe today?” Julia Land drove the car and asked Thomas Sullivan, who was ready to smoke in the passenger seat, “Please don’t smoke in my car, thank you.”
Thomas Sullivan put away his cigarette, “Chloe’s taking a break today.”
“…”
“And I’m thinking of changing women recently.”
Thomas Sullivan typically changed his bed partners every few months.
They arrived at the mall with no time to stroll, heading directly to the men’s clothing section.
Knowing his size, Julia Land quickly picked out clothes.
“Don’t I need to try them on?” Thomas Sullivan followed her, evidently bored.
“Go try them on yourself if you want.” Julia Land coldly refused, wanting to head home early that evening.
Thomas Sullivan actually took a pair of pants Julia Land picked out and went to try them on.
Just as Julia Land touched a navy blue suit, another hand also reached out to it.
Chloe Sullivan was surprised to see Julia Land, “Miss Land?”
“Miss Sullivan.” Julia Land did not continue with the suit.
Chloe Sullivan, being polite, smiled at Julia Land while on the phone, “I’ll look at other clothes.”
“Assistant Winters, can you tell me the clothing size Mr.
Thompson wears?
I am currently shopping at the mall.”
While looking for clothes, Chloe Sullivan spoke to Jasper Winters on the phone.
Jasper Winters hesitated to disclose his boss’s size, “Miss Sullivan, please hold on, I need to ask.”
Chloe Sullivan wanted to surprise James Thompson; if she asked him directly, it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore, “Assistant Winters, don’t tell Brother Thompson, I’ll figure it out myself, thank you.”
Just then, Thomas Sullivan came out of the fitting room and saw Chloe Sullivan, raising an eyebrow, “Little Chloe, buying clothes for which man?”
“Buying for Brother Thompson.” Chloe Sullivan, blushing as her cousin teased her, suddenly brightened up, “Brother Thomas, help me try these clothes.”
Thomas Sullivan was about the same height as James Thompson.
However, Thomas Sullivan liked to train himself to be a robust muscular type.
Whereas James Thompson was slender but had strong, aesthetically pleasing muscles when undressed.
“My build isn’t quite the same as Mr.
Thompson’s,” Thomas Sullivan’s eyes swept around and saw Julia Land preparing to checkout, “Hold on, I’ll ask Secretary Land for you; she has a sharp eye.”
