As Yang Yi cast his spell, all the Ice Nest cultists within a hundred-metre radius ignited, turning into living torches and letting out agonised wails.
“Ahhhhhh!”
“Chaotic flames!”
“No!!!”
The raging fire roared to the sky, dispersing the white mist.
Suna’s crimson eyes widened as she stared at the inferno, unable to look away.
The burning believers frantically slapped at their bodies, which were rolling on the ground, trying desperately to extinguish the flames.
Under the extreme heat, their movements became unnaturally fast — almost as if they were dancing, revelling in madness.

“So beautiful…” Suna murmured to herself.
But when she realised that the one burning at the centre was Yang Yi, she snapped out of her daze, a flicker of worry crossing her face.
The screams of agony quickly faded, because the fire could not be extinguished. Not even the icy glaciers or the vast ocean could snuff it out.
Unless the flames consuming Yang Yi were put out — or burned him to cinders — the inferno had no end.
It was a contest, a trial of endurance — who would be burned away first?
Soon, the first victim succumbed, their struggling body ceasing movement as the flames dimmed, quietly devouring what remained.
Then the second, the third…
The Ice Nest cultists were dying in droves.
Suna stopped throwing firebombs altogether, there was no need. Compared to this inferno, her flames were insignificant sparks.
At the same time, the worm-hand cannon she wielded reached its limit.
Having absorbed the bodies of numerous Ice Nest worms and followers, the pale, writhing creature swelled to six metres in thickness.
Then, with a brittle snap, it split in two, frozen solid, spilling a mountain of corpses from its ruptured form.

He lifted his gaze toward the distant Crystal Giant.
A savage grin spread across his face.
Gripping Broken Iron in both hands, he charged.
With his newfound Extraordinary power, his speed skyrocketed.
Shrouded in thick black smoke, his burning figure resembled a blazing red meteor streaking forwards, unstoppable.
As he moved, the fire spread with him, igniting any Ice Nest cultists in his path and dragging them into this grand banquet of flames.
“You’re completely insane!”
The giant cursed and hurled the head it carried far behind before sprinting towards Yang Yi.
The moment it entered a hundred metres of Yang Yi, its body also caught fire.
The firelight illuminated the translucent giant, revealing fractured limbs and a torso within — most likely remnants of the old man.
At the same time, the extreme cold radiating from the giant struggled against the flames.
It couldn’t put them out.
It could only make them burn slightly weaker.
The battle resumed.
Now fully transformed into a werewolf, Yang Yi stood at a towering three metres, completely different from before.
Leaping high, he swung his sword downwards with all his might—

His three unique eyes remained unaffected by the flames, though they now bubbled like boiling gel, releasing wisps of vapor.
Then — he countered with a diagonal slash.
Crack!
A crisp shatter rang out, shards of crystal flew.
The giant’s right forearm was severed cleanly, sent spinning through the air.
Even Yang Yi was surprised.
The giant felt…weaker.
Its body was growing brittle.
Before Yang Yi could capitalise, the giant launched a sudden kick.
He barely had time to raise Broken Iron to block.
The impact sent him flying several metres into the air.
Before he could land, another colossal fist struck, blasting him even farther.
With the glacier melting under the intense heat, the battlefield had turned into a vast, slushy wetland.
Yang Yi tumbled across the icy surface, steam rising wherever his body touched.
Both blows had been blocked, but most importantly, he had discovered the giant’s weakness.

Yang Yi saw the notification, then he charged once more.
This time, Yang Yi moved even faster — like a fiery tornado erupting from a waterlogged wasteland.
In an instant, he reached the giant, giving it no time to react.
An upward slash created a sickening crack, snapping both of the giant’s legs and sending it crashing to the ground…
In the distance, the elder’s head let out a simultaneous scream.
But the real agony was yet to come.
Yang Yi raised Broken Iron high. The blade’s grip had turned red-hot from the flames.
Standing over the fallen crystal giant, he brought the sword downwards.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
Again and again, the red-hot blade smashed into the giant until it was reduced to a heap of molten, fractured shards, utterly incapable of movement.
Only then did Yang Yi lift his gaze.
The ice egg containing the elder’s head…
It was trying to flee.
At some point, several writhing limbs — similar to those of the Ice Nest worms — had sprouted from its surface.
It was desperately scuttling away, trying to escape from the scorching heat.
But how could it possibly outrun Yang Yi?
"N-No… Don’t come any closer! Don’t burn! DON’T!!!”
The distance between them rapidly closed.
The elder’s voice had devolved into panicked, incoherent screams.
Logically, the intense heat radiating from Yang Yi should have melted straight through the glacier beneath him.
But strangely — he kept running, because beneath his feet, the ice had transformed.
Where he stepped, the glacier was no longer ice but patches of scorched, cracked earth, supporting him so he wouldn’t sink into the water.
“No!!! NO!!!”
With a final, bloodcurdling wail, the escaping head erupted into flames.
Now a blazing fireball, it rolled frantically across the ice, trying in vain to put itself out.
By the time Yang Yi reached it, it had already gone still.
Clearly, the elder wasn’t very fire-resistant.
Nor did he understand the pleasure of burning.
Yang Yi picked up the smoldering head.
“AAAAAAHHHHH!!”
The sheer heat radiating from his body made the elder’s head let out another soul-wrenching scream.
“You demon — you’ll burn to death too! Only the cold embraces all equally, only ice grants true salvation—”
“I grant!”
Smash!
“I grant!!”
Smash!
“I GRANT!!!”
CRACK!
Again and again, Yang Yi slammed the burning head into the ground — each impact punctuated by his mocking shout.
Until, finally, the head exploded into a mass of burning, bubbling sludge.
He smirked.
“Feeling my blessing now?”
No answer.
Yet he was sure it had been fully received.
