"Wait!"

Yang Yi suddenly spoke up, interrupting Suna’s movement.

"What is it?" she asked.

"I want to ask... can you make some iron chains? The thicker and sturdier, the better, that way, it’ll hold me tighter."

He gestured with his hands as he spoke.

"You want me to tie you up with iron chains?" Suna looked a bit surprised.

But to Yang Yi, there was something strange in her eyes, an unclear, hard-to-describe look. Still, he nodded seriously, face solemn.

If it weren’t for the fact that his neck had all but disappeared under his fat, he might have looked rather handsome.

Replacing the belt with a strong iron chain was Yang Yi’s idea to prevent the dream from replaying itself.

As long as he couldn’t break free, he’d have no chance to eat her!

On the other hand, Suna had no objections at all, in fact, she looked rather pleased, the corners of her lips curving into a faint smile.

But when Yang Yi looked again, that expression was gone, and he couldn’t tell if he’d just imagined it.

So, the belt was replaced with a thumb-thick iron chain, wrapped several times around him, binding Yang Yi tightly to the metal table.

In his state of extreme obesity, he looked like a mound of custard spread across the table.

In another corner of the room stood a special container holding the Fruit of Bounty taken from the giant bird’s body.

Suna had just poured in a bottle of concentrated gastric fluid.

The container had been modified, on the higher side, a small hole connected to a glass tube allowed the semi-digested slurry to flow out through the pipe, eliminating the need for constant monitoring.

The surgery Yang Yi was about to undergo wasn’t too different. A hole needed to be made in his abdomen to drain some of its contents.

The Gluttonous Maw had already been sewn shut with thread and needle, it struggled weakly but could not move.

Suna chose a spot far from that mouth, preparing to cut. She was fully equipped, gloves, mask, and crystal goggles, and held in her hand a precious witch’s dagger.

The dagger resembled a dissection tool more than a weapon; the wounds it made caused no pain and provoked no violent resistance.

Suna made an incision, her brow furrowing. Yang Yi’s fat layer was too thick! Even though the blade sank in to the hilt, it failed to pierce through his skin.

Yang Yi, meanwhile, felt almost nothing, only a faint chill. And with his low sanity and frenzied state, he had long since lost the ability to feel pain.

So Suna reached her hand into the wound and cut again from the inside, finally slicing through the abdominal wall.

Beneath it lay a tough, leather-like layer.

When that was cut open, a thick white digestive fluid oozed from the gap, spilling to the floor and piling up like a small hill.

Yang Yi’s belly visibly shrank, and his life force stopped dropping.

The surgery had achieved its first success. But only a few seconds later, something strange happened to his stomach. The incision began to twitch, and grew neat rows of teeth, turning into a smaller Gluttonous Maw!

Startled, Suna stepped back, her crimson eyes filled with disbelief. She looked towards Yang Yi, who lay motionless on the metal table, as if nothing had happened.

Because of his enormous belly, he couldn’t even see what was going on.

The mouth didn’t last long, and after a minute or two, it vanished along with the wound itself.

"What’s wrong?"

Yang Yi noticed Suna had frozen, sweat beading on her forehead.

"Nothing," she replied, preparing to resume cutting.

Her best guess was that Yang Yi’s internal structure had completely changed.

His stomach wall seemed fused with his outer skin, as for whether his intestines or other organs still existed... that was uncertain.

Suna wanted to find out, but it wasn’t the time.

It had already been an hour and forty minutes since she drank the psychic potion; when her mana reached zero, a crushing headache would hit, leaving her unable to move for a while.

So she had to finish the operation within twenty minutes.

She cut open Yang Yi’s abdomen again, the incision small but deep, piercing straight through. Next, she inserted a glass tube into the wound, letting the unabsorbed digestive fluid flow out through the tube and drain from his body.

But that wound turned into a mouth again, growing teeth and trying to bite the glass tube. Yet it couldn’t.

The strength of that mouth seemed to depend on its size.

After securing the tube, Suna connected it all the way to the window.

It was part of a setup she had prepared earlier; the nearby container was linked the same way.

The tube wasn’t very wide; due to its size, the Fruit of Bounty wouldn’t leak out, only the digestive fluids would.

What Suna didn’t know was that inside Yang Yi’s belly, a living tongue was still there, most of it wrapped tightly around the Fruit of Bounty, preventing it from escaping.

Once everything was done, the psychic potion’s side effects kicked in. Suna felt an intense headache and leaned against the metal table to rest.

Yang Yi, meanwhile, kept monitoring his vital energy.

It had stopped falling, it was even recovering slightly.

He was about to drink a regeneration potion to stabilise himself, but as soon as he tried to move, he realised he couldn’t; the iron chains held him firmly to the table.

“Suna?”

Yang Yi called out, but there was no response.

He had no neck, and his vision was limited. Unable to get up or switch to his three-eyed form, he couldn’t see what Suna was doing at all. But he could check the crew interface.

When he saw her mana value at zero, he immediately understood.

Suna had taken the psychic potion.

With nothing to do and no way to move, Yang Yi lay there numbly on the metal table, and eventually fell asleep.

He didn’t know how long he had slept before waking up, but hunger jolted him awake, his eyes glowing red.

The hunger was unbearable.

Even if someone placed a lump of dirt or a rock near his mouth, he would have eaten it.

His bird-beak mask? He had already unconsciously swallowed it.

“So hungry!!!”

Yang Yi began to struggle, but the iron chains held him fast.

His stomach had shrunk, back to the size it was after he first ate the Fruit of Bounty. Most of the digestive contents had already been expelled. With nothing left inside, the hunger was maddening.

【Supreme Hunger, Your sanity decreases by 20】

Yang Yi thrashed violently, nostrils flaring, catching a delicious aroma, food!

And not just ordinary food, something incredibly mouthwatering!

At the end of the table stood Suna, eating coconut-steamed bread, occasionally glancing at Yang Yi with a teasing look.

“Want some?”

She set the bread down, walked closer, and ran her fingers along the iron chains binding Yang Yi, sneering softly.

“Too bad. You can only watch me eat.”

She took another bite of bread, then gave him a wicked smile.

“If you beg for food like a good little dog, wag your tail, maybe I’ll consider giving you a bite~”

“Ahhhh!!! Give me food!!! Give me!!!”

Yang Yi roared, struggling wildly, the iron chains cutting into his skin, but still, he couldn’t break free.

Then he went into werewolf form. The metal table bent under his strength, the chains digging deep into his flesh, yet they still didn’t snap.

Suna laughed hysterically, waving the food in front of him, mocking him mercilessly…

‘Wait.’

Yang Yi suddenly froze, clarity returned to his eyes.

Suna’s left shoulder wasn’t bandaged. Which meant... the scene was a hallucination!

In an instant, he pieced it all together.

He had consumed a large amount of sea salt, and salt intake like that could trigger hallucinations.

He had almost fallen for it!

The illusion shattered, and reality returned.

Suna was lying against the corner of the table, while from the wound in Yang Yi’s stomach extended a thin, flexible tongue. It was reaching towards her, inch by inch, as if to taste and give her a slow, deliberate lick.
