He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 635. Elimination
"Azure, to think you’d resort to such methods?"
Noctivar said, his army trailing behind him.
"What the fuck are you talking about? I could say the same for you," Azure replied, her army behind her.
Law attacks suddenly flared to life. Chaos erupted. Both armies clashed lethally. There was no need for words. One of them had to die. That was all.
The echoes of the clash sent ripples across the whole solar system. Many wondered: what the hell had driven these two into such madness? Were they not allies who had banded together against the Usmond Clan?
How had this occurred? How had two allies suddenly reached a point of disagreement overnight?
Except one person, currently seated in a suite, observing everything calmly.
Kailen watched the chaos he had weaved unfold. To him, it was simply a matter of eliminating threats that wanted him dead—nothing more, nothing less. No hard feelings. Just elimination of threats.
Very soon, the two clan leaders were extremely weakened. Almost all their forces had perished in their clash. In their weakened state, the Usmond Clan took advantage of the situation to strike them. The Usmond Clan was very opportunistic. They didn’t know why these two bastards had turned on the other. However, what better time to strike than now? When the two clans who wanted them dead were vulnerable?
The Usmond Clan leader led the charge; in the weakened state of the Azure and Noctivar clan, they slaughtered both clan heads and consolidated the resources of the two clans into their fold.
Many neutral clans —who had not been interested in the cultivation mountain these three clans had been competing over—sighed. What an anticlimactic and unexpected turn of events. In the end, the Azure and Noctivar clans turned on one another due to unforeseen and unknown reasons; the Usmond Clan, who seemed to have been cornered until recently by the two clans, took advantage of their vulnerable state during their clash and ended them.
The Usmond Clan had the last laugh. Life was really unpredictable.
Many were speculating about why the two clans had turned on the other. However, no one was able to come to a conclusion. Many, however, deemed the Usmond Clan quite opportunistic and lucky even.
Kailen nodded. Everything had gone as planned. Now, the clans that wanted him gone were dealt with. He could focus on his missions, get on the hall of fame list, leave to the imperial Galaxy, and kiss this solar system goodbye.
As Kailen was calmly seated in his room, Legoland walked inside. He was staring at Kailen with a wary expression. It was no coincidence. This guy asked for the names of the clans that wanted him dead, and overnight, they had turned on one another mysteriously, and the Usmond Clan had finished them off.
Kailen was behind this.
"You anticipated the Usmond Clan stepping in to finish them off, didn’t you? You predicted the Usmond Clan would not let go of an opportunity to step in to finish them off the moment the two clans were in a vulnerable situation. After all, they held a grudge against the Noctivar and Azure Clans. Everything was like a game of chess to you: you orchestrated whatever mysterious reason it was for the Noctivar and Azure clans to turn on one another, and anticipated that they would be in a vulnerable situation for the Usmond Clan to finish them off if they didn’t end up killing one another," Legoland said.
He didn’t even know what to think of this fellow anymore. Kailen stretched, not in the least bit surprised at Legoland’s realization. He yawned lightly. "As perceptive as ever." He added playfully, "How’s your honeymoon in there going?"
Legoland scoffed. "Just a starved elf trying to unwind. Give me a break. However, you are seriously the most dangerous person I have ever met, Kailen."
He was shocked. This guy had manipulated events without lifting a hand again. He was like some unseen being above everyone, quietly moving them on the board like chess pieces without their knowledge. This was the most dangerous person to deal with. Someone of this guy’s calibre was very unpredictable. His enemies would never know what he was thinking, what he was plotting, and when he would strike.
Legoland had come across his fair share of cultivators during his cultivation journey across the universe with tactical and manipulative acumen. But the more he got to know this fellow, the more he realized: compared to this fellow, they were less terrifying. Was he really a cultivator who was in his 20’s?
He was really glad that instead of making an enemy of this fellow in the sect, he was perceptive enough to have allied with him rather. Realizing that his introverted acquaintance was not saying anything, Legoland asked, "After how many missions do you think you’ll appear on the hall of fame list?"
Kailen replied casually, gazing at his id slot screen on his retina. He was going through a list of association missions at the time. "Perhaps two more missions," Kailen replied.
"Alright," Legoland said. "That’s fine. As long we manage to get rid of the—"
Kailen didn’t let him finish. "Don’t worry. Only those in the Imperial faction can give someone a slot to the RiverBlood Empire Academy. As long as we manage to get rid of the emperor and his father, the head of the imperial faction, and eliminate who needs to be eliminated, you become the emperor, you obtain the qualifications of an imperial faction member to give me a slot right?"
Legoland nodded with a smile. "You are very easy to get along with."
Kailen raised his mug with a light smirk and took a sip. Legoland stood up. "Well, I should get back to my activities. And by activities I mean cultivation. The receptionist friend of mine has left. Don’t have any funny ideas."
Kailen had an innocent expression on his face. "I don’t know what you are talking about?"
Legoland clicked his tongue. "Tsk." He chuckled and left the room.
Kailen’s gaze returned back to the runesmith association missions. It was time to choose a second mission.
