He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 634. Setting the Stage
RiverBlood Empire.
Fistfar Galaxy.
Infa Solar System.
In a planetary district.
Noctivar Clan Estate.
In a living room.
An extremely tall male vampire was currently seated in a sofa, with a very intimidating and disgruntled expression on his face.
About four other individuals were seated across from him in the living room.
They all had very scared expressions on their faces.
The man bellowed, "What have you all been doing all this while huh?"
No one dared to talk back. They didn’t want to seal their fates.
The man’s aura, that of a rank 4 intermediate stage universe level Lifeform, descended into the room.
The others sitting across him felt the weight of his aura. They were crushed beneath the weight of his aura.
The aura disappeared from the room as soon as it had appeared.
The man calmed down.
Everyone heaved sighs of relief.
"You underestimated the Usmond bastards. That’s why the assassins you sent after them all this while could not do anything to them. Not only that, they managed to buy themselves enough time to complete that array," the man said. "Damn it. How are we supposed to have full rights over the cultivation mountain with them still alive. But first, I’m so pissed off that I want Karag Anvilheart to die. If not for him, none of this would have happened. Monitor him and strike him at a suitable time, especially when he is on a mission."
The man rubbed his hand through his hair in frustration.
"Yes sir."
The others in the room replied.
"I have some personal thinking to do on how to eliminate the Usmonds, you may..."
Before he finished speaking, a figure materialised in the living room.
The figure had a nervous expression in his eyes.
"You better have a good reason for interrupting this meeting, butler," the man said.
"Lord Noctivar, I do. We have a bit of a situation," the butler replied.
"Speak," the man said. Everyone else in the room was eager to hear what the chief butler had to say. What was making him so nervous?
"Sir, the eldest young master, he seems to have gone mad. He ..he keeps talking to himself and mentioning the name of the Azure Clan leader. The worst part is, he actually went naked and roamed the streets of the Azure Clan manor. In response, the Azure Clan guards beat him up and threw him out of their estate."
"What?. Those Azure Clan bastards. Is this really the time for them to do this? Now that the Usmond Bastards have managed to protect themselves from the assassinations, they are chickening out?"
A glint of realization flashed through Noctivar’s eyes.
"They want to side with the Usmonds..."
"My thoughts too sir," the butler nodded. "We allowed one of our finest rank 7 runesmiths to check him out. It seems someone cast some sort of illusion rune on him. As of now, we are letting our finest rank 7 runesmiths try to nullify the illusion rune but it’s proving very complex for them to handle."
Everyone in the room nodded. They were thinking along the same line after what the butler said.
"So this whole thing was set up by the Azures. They wanted a formal reason to break off with us. So, they did this to my son, lured him to their estate and made him disgrace himself there to the point of letting him piss off their leader, then after that, they humiliated him and kicked him out. Bunch of fuckers. There’s no way, we are letting them side with the Usmonds. The other clans have no need for the cultivation mountain. We can’t do anything to get them on our side. The Azure bastards were our allies. If they side with the Usmonds, we are screwed. We need to risk it and attack them. Also, there’s no way I would let them roam free for attacking my heir. We prepare to attack."
Meanwhile...
In another planetary district.
In the Azure Clan.
A vampire woman dressed in a long scarlet robe was currently pacing around in a room.
She had a very angry expression on her face.
Noctivar had gone too far this time.
They were supposed to be allies.
Why did he have to go as far as using his eldest son to humiliate her.
As a woman, what Noctivar had resorted to was something she hated the most.
No, not as a woman. She hated perverts to their core because of her past. It was a bottom line no one should cross. Reason flew out of the picture when certain bottom lines of her were crossed.
But why would an ally go so far to ruin their alliance? Did they not agree to destroy the Usmonds together so that they could have equal rights to the cultivation mountain?
Were they not supposed to be very united, especially now that the Usmonds have completed their array?
"I was about contacting him for us to eliminate Karag Anvilheart, that nuisance who ruined our plans. After all, he could offer the Usmonds help in the future and further ruin our plans. However, that can wait."
Her eyes flickered with coldness and realization.
"I see. He doesn’t want to be an ally anymore. He has definitely allied with the Usmonds now. Filthy backstabber.
Instead of outright stating it, he resorted to cheap tricks, to offend me by going as far letting his eldest son pull off that stupid stunt, something he knew I could definitely not tolerate. Now that I’ve taught his son a lesson in a fit of anger, he will most likely use that as an excuse to cut ties with me, and play the victim."
She clenched her fists in anger.
"Or worse, he will try to launch an attack on me, with the secret support of the Usmonds. Noctivar, I will not take this humiliation and betrayal lying down. Since this is what you want, then we will draw blades."
Meanwhile, in the secondary Carrier Alliance planet, Kailen simply nodded at the outcome of what he had orchestrated. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
"It’s really easy to maneuver events and outcomes when you understand emotions and psychological intricacies very well. Sentient beings are very complicated, but we can be very predictable too."
He took a sip of his coffee.
He had set the stage.
Now, the final act remained.
