The door clicked shut softly after the last shareholder exited the boardroom. Ayana let out a long relieved sigh and plopped on the president’s chair with a tired expression. Her elbow rested on the arm and she massaged her temple.

’Now all that’s left is finding Noah and convincing him.’ Her mind drifted to the next step of her plan.

On the day of her parents’ funeral, she had Sam to deliver a letter to Noah. Ever since then, her cousin has yet to respond to her, and she couldn’t wait any longer.

Ayana finished the rest of her words in her heart as she stepped out of the boardroom with Mr. Dixon following behind her.
