[A piece of elvish and dwarvish magic engineering, designed as a head and tails pair. If either piece is destroyed, the other piece will resonate, initiating a one-time teleportation displacement of its bearer to the sight of the accident. The marker can be destroyed intentionally, or automatically self-destruct when it senses its bearer’s life in danger]

Hehehe. ...

What do we have here ?.

Zorat’s little grin slowly contorted into a devilish one as he read the description for the necklace with the emerald pendant.

It was very likely that, in her restlessness, Kaelara did not take the time to research what she was handing over to Zorat. She had just fished out the treasures she possessed, which she believes held the most value.

Her father must have told her that the necklace was very valuable and that she should always keep it on her person. But for such a spoilt noble lady who gets tons of treasures all the time, she might not have even bothered to do some research on what it was.

If this necklace piece Zorat was currently holding is the tail of the pair, then it stands to reason that the head of the pair must be on Victor Malverin. So in essence, Zorat currently possesses the ability to summon the grand vizier wherever and whenever he wants.

He must have given the necklace to his daughter as a final safety measure for whenever she’s in a pinch, so he could always appear and save her. But the same treasure was now in Zorat’s hands.

Zorat threw the necklace and every other treasure directly into his spatial repertoire, and after only a couple more minutes of cleaning up, Florielle arrived with his breakfast, but she did not come with just his breakfast; she also came with news. News that the knight commander had requested the presence of all heroes. Zorat included. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Since the first day of training, Azaria had never bothered to call upon Zorat for anything. It would seem this particular news was urgent, so Zorat was also curious to see what the knight commander wanted to say.

He had his breakfast, a simple human need that is required to keep the mortal flesh functioning. After which, he found some simple clothes that complemented his physique well. Grey pants, white shirt, and a black leather jacket, with boots to match. A casual outfit that served no protective or combat purpose whatsoever.

Let’s see what this little demon is cooking up. Hehehe.

Zorat grinned as he headed for the knight training facility. At this point, most of the facility locations are already familiar to Zorat, and he requires no further guidance. Just some zones, he has no idea yet where they are.

For instance, the royal treasury location was still unknown to Zorat, and he also had no idea where the royal family or the Saintess resided in the palace.

He’s only been to the throne room and the banquet hall, and as he had come to learn, all the extra passages he had taken to get to those locations were just sections that housed his fellow hero candidates and also served as accommodations for distinguished guests.

Zorat arrived at the private training facility for the heroes, and this time, he wasn’t the last person to arrive. Knight Commander Azaria was not there yet.

His arrival brought a mix of reactions from the gathered heroes. Erica, who was talking to Ariana, walked over, and Ariana followed in tow. Ariana, the flame Hero, introduced herself and hit up a light conversation with Zorat.

She was curious about what one of her friends saw in this young man to become so close, and in only a couple of minutes of light conversation, she, too, found herself wanting to talk more with Zorat.

Andrew joined next, and Roberto plus Julia followed, so did Jacob and Broddy. However, Broddy was acting weird for some reason, which Zorat immediately noticed.

Zorat assumed it must be because he had gotten so close to his girl, but that did not seem to be the case; instead of the expected anger or indignation, it almost felt like guilt, and he was unable to look Zorat in the face.

Zorat ignored this, using the time to study their dynamic even more. Of the nine heroes present, only Ava and Lilly had not joined in to start a conversation with Zorat.

Ava looked like she would move one minute, and in the next, she would step back again indecisively as she fiddled with her combat gear.

Ah, these people I tell you..

Zorat sighed for the first time since coming into this world. He was used to those with personalities like this. And his experience had been stressful.

The second person who did not even bother to acknowledge Zorat’s presence was Lilly. She looked at him with more suspicion than anything for some reason.

An interesting one, I see. Hehehe.

In the midst of their chatter, the knight commander, Azaria, walked in in her golden battle gear. She moved steadily until she was standing in the center of the space. Even in her battle ensemble, the fullness of her hips and bosoms could not be fully concealed.

"Heroes of Ursula..." she began, her voice echoing through the space.

"You have been training for more than a week now, and I know most of you have grown in leaps and bounds. While some others are still in the rafts..." She said this as she cast a side glance at Zorat, who had the ever-present, annoying smirk on his face.

Azaria continued. Though a small frown now creased her face." Regardless...." her voice boomed once more.

"In two days’ time.... You all shall be brought into the catacombs of permafrost for leveling."

This caused murmurs to erupt among the gathered heroes as they bamboozled her with questions about why the date had been pushed back by an entire five.

"The kingdom is in distress...." she explained, looking quite sad and emotional.

She’s quite the actress. hehehe

"We need your assistance, heroes..."

"We need you all to get strong... and get strong fast."
