Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.-Chapter 216 A trip to the past Xi
THREE WEEKS LATER
He wheezed and coughed, a strong ache striking his head which nearly made him lose consciousness, but he quickly held his forehead. Looking around, the first thing he took notice of was the blood granular connected to his hands and the breathing pipe placed to his nose. Daniel carefully pulled out the pipe and also took out the blood granular.
What was he doing in such a place?? He couldn’t help but wonder, trying to remember what got him there in the first place, but he couldn’t remember anything. All he got was hazy memories, and when he tried forcing them out, he ended up getting a nosebleed which also made him dizzy to the extreme.
Oh gosh, what the hell was that?? It was like he was being blocked from remembering anything.
Daniel tried to put some pieces together. Of course, he could remember his name, Daniel Lancaster, and his family yes!! But how was he here in a hospital? He could tell it was one because of the medicated stench he was perceiving, and also the medical equipment in the ward he was in confirmed it.
Still puzzled, he decided to get down from the bed he was sitting on, so he brought forth his feet, put the two down on the floor, and tried walking, but he fell flat on the floor, landing on his stomach so hard that he began yelling in pain. He didn’t even know that there was a wound on his head which was being bandaged, but now it opened slightly and blood was gushing out profusely.
Feeling a liquid dripping down his forehead, he touched it and saw that it was coming from the bandage. Daniel was so frozen in shock that he stayed right there on the floor till some nurses who were passing by the passage saw the patient on the floor and had to rush to him.
Carefully, the two nurses carried him right back to the bed, and one of them began to address the wound.
"Sorry we weren’t close by, so it’s that your legs... they have some complications, so you can’t walk for now." She carefully broke the news to him, and Daniel felt like he was being stoned right where he sat.
The pain he was supposed to be feeling from the wound at his forehead and the back of his head had gone numb. The only thing he could hear was the loud beating of his heartbeat as he realized that he wouldn’t walk again.
Seeing the crestfallen face of Daniel, they decided to explain to the poor guy because it seemed like he misunderstood them.
"I don’t mean that you would be crippled, it’s just that your leg muscles need to loosen. Your accident was so serious, we thank God you made it because people who come back from such a fall never remain sane again." They continued to explain, and when he was finally calmed, they gave him a drug which was supposed to reduce the pain, and Daniel drank it. He ended up falling asleep instantly.
When he was deep asleep, they packed their tray and walked out from the ward, shaking their heads and feeling bad for the poor boy.
"This isn’t right, we are messing with his mind. What if he dies or goes insane?" the other female nurse questioned, but the first one hissed bitterly.
"That’s not our business. We were paid by the Wolfe to clear him out, so anything that happens is his business and no one cares about him. After all, imagine him being here for weeks and no one has cared to visit, so if he dies none of them would mind." The nurse’s voice grew malicious, far from sympathetic.
Helpless, the other nurse left with the first one, and Daniel was left to his fate.
Hours later, Daniel woke up feeling famished and thirsty, like his body was in need of a serious meal.
First, he tried walking, wanting to see if he could at least move around and get himself some snacks. Surprisingly, it worked. He could walk without falling, and he took a steady step before leaving the ward where he had been admitted for weeks.
Now wandering in the halls of the hospital, he looked for any snacks at all but couldn’t see any, so he kept on walking till he stopped at a mall in the hospital center. He could see different delicious snacks there and he rushed over, but on getting there he realized that without money he couldn’t get any snacks, and he wasn’t with any money.
Stranded, he stood there just looking, drooling at the people munching on delicious cookies and ice cream, something he was craving for so badly. He couldn’t stop staring, and from there he began shedding tears little by little.
Why was he all alone in this big hospital?? Where was his family? Why wasn’t anyone coming for him?
This had been what he had been asking himself because one of the few things he remembered was that he had a family, but he hadn’t even set his eyes on any of them. And the fall they said he had, which brought him to this condition, he couldn’t fathom the kind of accident that was.
How was it that he could be in this state? And the way people looked at him whenever he walked past, he couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. While he was still standing there and looking around, he didn’t know when he crashed into a man who was heading out from the hospital. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The man was in a rush, but seeing a pair of emerald eyes and a chubby face crying right there, looking lost and helpless, he couldn’t help but stop. He was the type of person that loved children and didn’t like seeing them sad, especially not this beauty.
One thing he noticed right away was that the little boy looked familiar, like he had seen him on television somewhere, but he couldn’t possibly place where he had last seen him.
"Hello little one, are you looking for someone??" He asked the boy while checking around to see if he would catch the boy’s parents, but he didn’t see anyone around and he became confused.
Daniel coughed harshly and spat out blood, but he hid it right away, not wanting to return to that hospital ward. He wanted to leave this place now, and maybe this nice man might help him.
"My parents left without me, they didn’t know I wasn’t following them, so they departed and now I am lost." He narrated so cutely that the man couldn’t help but gush.
He was just too cute for him to handle. Well, the man was happy to see that he could help, so he gladly carried him in his arms.
"Come, let me carry you in my car and maybe tell me your parents’ names." The man requested, and Daniel thought silently before it came to him.
His father’s name was Mr Alessandro Lancaster and his mother’s name was Mrs Celeste Lancaster. Of course, why would he forget?
After he remembered them, he told the names to the man who immediately paused his car, which was already in motion, and began looking at the little boy.
"You mean the Mr Lancaster who won a lottery and is now a millionaire? Wow, you’re one lucky kid." And the man drove away right then.
Daniel didn’t understand what he said about winning a lottery, but he was glad to be returning home, not knowing that it was a pure nightmare that awaited him back at the Lancaster new mansion.
