Help! the four Alpha's are obsessed with me.-Chapter 217 A trip to the past Xii
The house he was driven to was a stunning and glamorous mansion. It was nothing like the miserable cottage he grew up in back in the countryside. They had moved to New York City, now dwelling in the popular city of Manhattan.
He didn’t believe this was his family house at first, but the man urged him forward, telling him to enter the gate and not to be scared because it was his father’s property.
Daniel wasn’t scared, he was just completely speechless and overwhelmed by the new changes. The gate opened the moment Daniel stepped in, and the man right beside him followed him through the gate, meeting the gateman who was standing there. After some discussion with the gateman, he told them to wait so that he could call the manager himself.
The gateman kept glancing at the little boy in confusion because Alessandro had never mentioned having any more sons, so the boy claiming to be his biological son was a huge shock. Well, he wanted to confirm it first because Mr. Lancaster, now becoming rich, would of course bring desperate people to his doorstep who would spread various rumors in order to ride on his wealth.
Alessandro was in the living room relaxing while operating his laptop, a cup of wine in his hand, when the gateman came into the room and bowed.
"What is the problem, man? You’re disturbing my siesta," Mr. Lancaster drawled, but the gateman, although he knew it was urgent, still apologized.
"Sorry sir, it’s something important. You have some guests outside and a young boy who is claiming to be your son."
With that news, Mr. Lancaster dropped his wine and his radiant face turned sour immediately.
He stood up at once and dropped the laptop, wanting to yell at the man before him not to let him in, but before he could do that, he thought it through and let out a scheming smile.
"Really? My son? Well, bring him in. It has been long, I can’t believe it." Alessandro smiled.
The gateman, who was sure he had seen a different shade of anger boiling from Mr. Lancaster just a minute ago, and now all of a sudden it had vanished, was suspicious.
"Okay sir, but he is not alone. Someone escorted him here," he added, and Mr. Lancaster nodded. Finally, he decided to go himself and greet them, then introduce himself to Daniel as his father.
So Alessandro walked beside the gateman, who hurried to the lower floor and stepped outside, leading the way till they reached the place where the man and Daniel were waiting.
Just from a distance, Alessandro could confirm that it wasn’t really a prank, that indeed it was Daniel. The pussy who nearly made him lose everything he worked for had come back, returning shamelessly, expecting him to welcome him back open-handed. Well, he was seriously wrong, but he wouldn’t show him that now. Let him get inside first...
And the bandage around his head— as it seemed, his blabbering mouth had almost gotten him killed, Mr. Lancaster reasoned within himself.
A boy like that couldn’t be his son. He was a failure, an utter disgrace, and a disability to him. But his anger... he would soon vent it all out on him.
Reaching where they stood, Mr. Lancaster shook hands with the man who brought Daniel and began to thank him.
"Oh, thank you so much. I couldn’t be more grateful for bringing the apple of my eye home. I appreciate it so much. Just look at us, looking everywhere for him, not knowing he had just wandered around." Alessandro formed a random lie, and with the way Daniel was smiling sheepishly, he could only guess that the poor thing didn’t know yet what he would face after the man’s absence.
"Oh, that’s cool. It’s my pleasure, but be careful and make sure you don’t rush and leave your kids out. Imagine the poor kid crying out there, like I felt so bad," the man narrated, and Alessandro smirked.
So he had also lied to him. Smart boy. Now that lie would make him a scapegoat forever.
While still appreciating the man, he sent him some money as thanks before seeing him off, and when they were now alone, Alessandro smiled at Daniel.
"Come in, boy..." he spoke in a detached tone that sent chills down Daniel’s body, but he decided to ignore it. Maybe he was just thinking too much.
Still admiring the building, he got inside and met with a little gathering.
Celeste Lancaster and her two kids, Angelo and Liliana, were all seated at the table with Madam Dorothy, their granny.
When they saw Daniel coming right toward them, they all kept silent, none of them uttering a word. Celeste was the most triggered right there because she was battling the urge to run and hug her son, but the beating from earlier that day was still fresh in her mind and the scars still rooted on her skin, so she couldn’t make a move. She could only sit there like a lifeless figure.
Then Daniel spoke.
"Mom, Angelo, Lily... won’t you all come and hug me?"
He stretched his arms wide, opening them for all of them to come to him and give him a deep squeeze, but his gesture didn’t make any of them move a hand.
They all stared at him like he was a foreigner, an alien standing before them claiming to be part of the family.
Daniel didn’t understand the look directed at him, and when he turned back, he saw his father now a few feet away from him, and he smiled at him.
"Daddy, why aren’t they hugging me? Any problem?" he asked innocently, his brain not processing anything like danger, only the safety of being with his loved ones. But that look on his dad’s face made him go ice cold.
Mr. Lancaster’s happy facade broke immediately, replaced with a deadly scowl, and Daniel couldn’t help but gulp down an invisible lump.
"Dad, why are you looking at me like that? You’re scaring me..." Daniel asked one more time, but before providing a suitable answer, Alessandro let out the sleek metal belt from his pants and hurled it right at Daniel’s back, giving him a deadly lash that made him stagger straight to the floor.
His face turned red with terror. His father wasn’t the face he was seeing right now, but a monstrous figure who was lashing at him.
"Daddy, what did I do—?!" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
He didn’t finish before another lash landed at his temple, making him fall to the floor, gasping so hard for breath.
"You disgraceful being! I told you if you lose or ruin my chance of making money and becoming a billionaire, you shouldn’t return! But you went right there and did just the opposite of what we planned. Just imagine if I didn’t have your voice recording or if I didn’t sell it to a rich producer! I am sure we would have rotted in poverty. And now that you saw that we are rich, you scrambled right back to us." He sneered with a look of pure hatred.
Daniel was shaking all over. His temperature suddenly ran hot, his head throbbing so hard it almost felt like something was being pounded on top of it.
But Daniel didn’t understand what was happening.
What was his father talking about?
Which music?
Why couldn’t he remember any of it?
He tried explaining to him, at least trying to tell him he couldn’t remember what he meant, but he didn’t get that chance as Mr. Lancaster dragged him by the hair, pulling him off the ground till he got to his office.
"This is the punishment you deserve. And soon everyone in the world will forget you ever existed. And to make things easier... just die in there."
Alessandro grinned and opened the hidden door, pushing Daniel inside the open wall before closing it and throwing him into darkness.
Daniel screamed and begged.
He cried for mercy.
He kept calling their names one by one, but no one came to his rescue.
"Father, don’t do this! Don’t do this, Father, please!"
But he was locked there.
And that began his sheer suffering like a slave in the mansion.
