Help!! This Girl Is A Yandere!!!-Chapter 32: Feral Grade VS Feral Grade
Fyrex, with his now-enhanced intelligence, understood Xavier’s command perfectly. Without hesitation, he dashed off in the direction his Alpha pointed.
Whoosh!
’Damn!’ Xavier thought, eyes narrowing in surprise.
’Its speed is far greater than I expected. Even I would have a tough time keeping up with that.’
The rest of the wolves followed behind them, filled with newfound courage and confidence. The pack surged forward together like a living tide of muscle and fur.
In less than a minute, Xavier—mounted atop Fyrex like a king on his steed—arrived at a familiar location.
Only to witness something completely unexpected.
"...!"
His eyes widened. He immediately raised his clenched fist—an order for Fyrex to halt. The intelligent beast responded without delay and stopped dead in its tracks, muscles tense and eyes scanning for threats.
The source of Xavier’s shock lay just ahead.
The corpse of the Scorching Bear—the same one he had killed earlier—was now being devoured by another creature. But this was not just any scavenger.
It was another Feral Grade Monster.
And yet, rather than being furious over his prize being stolen, Xavier’s lips curled into a wicked grin, his eyes gleaming with predatory delight.
’Kuhahahaha~! Jackpot!’ he thought, almost giddy.
’Is this what they mean by killing three birds with one stone?’
’My original plan was to offer the Scorching Bear’s corpse to my pack as a reward. But now? I not only get to test how powerful Fyrex has become... I might also gain the Core and body of another Feral Grade Monster!’
’And if Fyrex ends up losing? Hah! Unlikely. That creature looks like a Level 3 Feral Grade, but it has almost no chance of possessing Prowess.’
’Meanwhile, Fyrex—my Fyrex—has at least one level of Prowess, which means he can take it head-on despite being just Level 2.’ 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
’Even if Fyrex does start losing, I can just intervene, distract the thing, and create an opening for him to finish the job.’
Xavier’s eyes narrowed. ’Still, there’s no need to rush. Better to observe first. It does not seem to have noticed us yet, and the others won’t catch up for another 40 seconds.’
Even though he brimmed with confidence, Xavier was not reckless. Overconfidence had killed better men.
The creature resembled a hyena in form, standing nearly as tall as Fyrex—perhaps even half a head taller. Though its frame was lean, there was no mistaking the raw power coiled beneath its sinewy muscles; it also indicated that it was extremely agile. Its dark brown fur, reminiscent of a grizzly bear’s, was mottled with jagged black spots that stretched across its body like scars. Razor-sharp teeth gleamed beneath snarling lips, each fang looking capable of slicing through steel with ease. But its most fearsome feature was its tail—a long, whip-like appendage ending in a spiked ball akin to a mace. A single swing from it could hurl a truck across the battlefield like a toy.
’It sure looks scary.’ Xavier admitted.
’But unlike Fyrex, whose affinity with the Principle of Fire is obvious, I can’t tell what Principle this Mace Tail Hyena might be aligned with.’
’Could be trouble... But I have got the upper hand. It is distracted by its meal. If there is ever a time to strike, it’s now.’
Xavier slowly slid off Fyrex’s back, careful not to make even the slightest sound.
’Good. It did not notice.’
He turned to Fyrex and whispered, "I need you to eliminate it as quickly and quietly as possible. Can you do it?"
As he spoke, he also gestured with his hands, making sure Fyrex understood everything.
Nod.
Fyrex nodded firmly, remaining utterly silent, fully aware that stealth was vital.
"Good boy," Xavier whispered, ruffling the beast’s fur.
"Now, go."
With one more nod, Fyrex crept forward, each step measured and silent.
Xavier, meanwhile, frowned and rubbed his chin.
’Hmm... I feel like I am forgetting something... Eh, whatever. I’ll figure it out later.’
Fyrex locked eyes on his target.
The prey before him was no ordinary beast. It wasn’t just another opponent—it was a test. A chance to prove his worth. His first true kill after ascending to the ranks of the Feral Grade.
His first hunt as a monster reborn in fire and fury.
And he would not fail.
He would pour his heart, his soul, and every last ember of his strength into this battle.
Not simply because it was a fight—but because this moment was sacred.
He would not dishonor the precious Core that Xavier, his Alpha, had entrusted him with. That Core was more than power—it was a symbol of faith.
And now, he would make it mean something.
FUSH!
Flames erupted—savage and searing.
Red-hot fire coiled around Fyrex’s fangs like a dragon’s breath, licking his lips with a sinister hiss. His claws crackled, veins glowing faintly beneath his fur as Aether surged through his limbs.
His stance dropped low.
His muscles tightened.
His eyes blazed.
And then—
WHOOSH!!
He launched forward with explosive force, moving faster than a bullet, a streak of blazing crimson tearing through the forest air.
His maw opened wide—jaws aglow with molten heat—ready to sink into flesh.
The Mace Tail Hyena, still engrossed in chewing on the remains of the Scorching Bear, stiffened.
It froze.
Its ears twitched, picking up a faint but ominous sound from behind.
It turned its head, instinct screaming in panic.
"...!"
Its eyes—deep brown and beastly—widened in horror.
What it saw behind it was not a wolf.
It was a monster.
A beast of fire and ash, barreling straight toward it with eyes that glowed like burning coals and a jaw lined with death.
Panic took over.
It leapt back on reflex—
But it was too late.
CRUNCH!!
"YAAARK!!"
A horrifying crunch rang out as Fyrex’s fangs sank deep into the hyena’s front right paw. Had it hesitated even a split-second more, the fiery jaws would have crushed its skull instead.
Agonizing pain jolted through its body.
The Mace Tail Hyena let out a pained screech as fire flared from the wound, Fyrex’s infernal bite searing the flesh from within. It wasn’t just bitten—it was branded.
Realizing it was in danger, the creature thrashed and twisted, trying to retaliate with a desperate lunge—
But Fyrex was already a step ahead.
KRCHSH!!
SPURT!!
"YAAARRKK!!"
With a savage jerk of his head, Fyrex tore the paw completely off the hyena’s body.
Blood exploded into the air like a crimson fountain.
The acrid stench of burning flesh mixed with the metallic tang of blood as the mangled limb dropped to the ground.
Fyrex’s eyes flashed—not with sadism, but with victory.
His veins pulsed as fresh Aether flooded his body, absorbed from the essence of the stronger foe he had just wounded.
But he wasn’t finished.
Not yet.
FUSH!
SLASH!
"Aaark!!"
With fire dancing along his claws, Fyrex raked them across the hyena’s torso, ripping open flesh and muscle with surgical precision.
The beast wailed in agony, stumbling and reeling back.
It tried to flee.
Tried to create distance.
But with only three legs, and one of them wounded, how could it outrun a monster like Fyrex?
"HRARF!"
Fyrex roared and pounced, slamming into the hyena like a meteor.
They crashed to the ground, dust and blood exploding around them.
Fyrex’s jaws hovered over its throat. He pinned the creature with such force that even its deadly tail—its most terrifying weapon—was rendered useless beneath its flailing weight.
He opened his mouth, fire swirling inside, ready to end it—
Then, without warning—
BANG!!
The ground exploded.
A stone pillar erupted beneath Fyrex like a cannon from the earth itself, slamming into his underbelly and launching him skyward.
"Raarf...!"
THUD!
He crashed into the ground with a brutal thud, skidding several feet, stunned and dazed.
"YAARK!!"
The Mace Tail Hyena, bloodied and beaten, saw its opening.
It spun, its whip-tail glowing with malice—
BANG!!
BOOM!!
The spiked end slammed into Fyrex like a wrecking ball.
The impact sent him flying—his body sailing through the trees like a ragdoll.
Two hundred and fifty meters.
That is how far he was thrown.
And still, the hyena did not chase him. Limping and gasping, it turned, seeking escape.
It had no interest in pride or victory anymore.
Only survival.
But before it could even take another step—
FUUSH!!
Flames burst across its body.
"YAAHAHAARRKK!!"
The hyena screamed in raw, burning agony.
Fire engulfed its fur and flesh in seconds.
"YAARK!!"
"YAHARK!!"
It screeched as it thrashed on the ground, trying to extinguish the blaze.
But the more it rolled, the more the fire consumed it.
The flames weren’t normal.
They were cursed.
FSSHH—!
Out from the shadows, Fyrex emerged again.
His body was bruised. His breath shallow.
But his eyes... were colder than ever.
He watched the beast writhe and burn.
He had used his Skill— Once his saliva mixed with a target’s blood, the marked area could be ignited at will, from as far as 300 meters away.
He had planted the trap the moment he tore off the hyena’s paw.
And now the flames started from there, spreading like wildfire across its body.
