Her Dark Desires-Chapter 25: A Sharp Pain

Young Modeling Agency.

Eliana entered the agency and immediately went to her manager’s office.

She knocked softly and entered after being told to come in.

"Since you couldn’t make it to my wedding yesterday, I thought you traveled. I was surprised when I heard you were around." Eliana said with a smile.

Lauren, who was Eliana’s manager, finally looked up from her papers after she spoke and said, "I didn’t attend your wedding because I didn’t want to."

Eliana was surprised by her hostile tone and asked "But why?"

"Just because you are the highest paying Model in this agency and you are now married to one of the richest families in Rosehill city doesn’t mean we will bend to your will. Not everyone can stand a woman who married a man who was engaged to her sister. You have no morals, Eliana, and yet you expected us to be at your wedding. To be honest, the only reason you are receiving such high payments in the first place has always been because of your father, who has specifically asked Brian to take care of you. Were you thinking you were that good and irreplaceable? And besides, you are pregnant and no one wants a cheating pregnant woman to model for them. I have submitted a request to terminate my managerial contract with you, I want nothing to do with the likes of you."

"Easy for you to judge when you don’t even know the whole story. You know nothing about me."

"And I do not intend to know anything about you. You already have a reputation, Eliana. A lot of people already see you as a girl who had bit the hand that fed her by stealing her sister’s man. To be honest, no one will want to hire someone like you for their show anymore and the only reason anyone here has tolerated you for this long is because you had the Moore family protecting you."

"And now I have the Sanders. You are nothing but a manager but yet you have suddenly become a judge? Me being quiet doesn’t make me stupid. A woman like you is the last one to preach to me about morals, especially when you don’t hesitate to expose your boobs in front of Brian, knowing fully well he is married."

"How dare you!"

"Do not raise your voice at me. You all don’t like me? then fine, I will leave, but before I go, let me give you a piece of advice, everyone knows your boobs are fake, so it’s high time you stop embarrassing yourself and learn to cover up your plastic shame." Eliana said and left Lauren’s office in anger.

Her footsteps faltered as her vision suddenly began blurred and just as her knees were about to buckle, a pair of strong arms enveloped her, holding her upright.

"Are you all right?"

Hearing that voice made Eliana look up at her savior, she gently pushed him away after regaining her balance and said, "I’m fine."

Jason sighed, "You would have fallen if I didn’t catch you."

"Thank you for saving me, given the fact that you cannot stand me anymore."

"That isn’t true," Jason said with a frown. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

"Isn’t it? You and everyone else made it clear by not attending my wedding. Yesterday was the happiest day of my life, but neither nor my family shown up."

"Are you serious, Eliana? I know the Moore family has wronged you and didn’t treat you right, but will you pretend that your actions didn’t almost cause a life yesterday."

"What are you talking about?"

"Amber tried to take her life yesterday, and I’m completely sure it was the Sanders who took down the news just within minutes of it being uploaded. As if that was not even enough, they tried to make us believe that it was fake news. That family has no regard for human lives. Do you even know the type of man you got married to?"

"Hold on a minute, so you decided to not attend my wedding because of Amber? I don’t understand, why do you care if Amber is sad or if she dies or not? I thought we hated Amber?" Eliana asked.

Hearing Eliana’s words made Jason look at her in disappointment as he said, "I just told you, your actions almost took a life, and that was your response? Do you feel no guilt for what you have done?"

Ignoring his questions, Eliana asked, "Did you become my friend so that you could become close to Amber?"

"What?"

"Now I see." Eliana said, as she let out a bitter laugh. "She was your first choice, wasn’t she? Did she reject you? Was that why you decided to befriend the little orphan who was adopted by the Moore family in order to be close to her? No wonder I always saw you trying to catch glimpses of her in the first year of our friendship."

Jason clenched his fist as he replied "You have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe the reason I didn’t attend your wedding is because I couldn’t stand seeing you getting married to another man. And yes, I admit that I once liked Amber but when I got closer to you, my feelings changed, and before I knew it, I was beginning to love you."

"You don’t love me and I do not need you to love me. I am tired of being everyone’s second choice."

"And is Zachary any different? Aren’t you a second choice to him as well? Amber was the one he wanted to marry and he only married you because you got yourself pregnant for him. Zachary doesn’t love you, and deep within, you know that too."

"Screw you," Eliana said and left the modeling agency. Since she didn’t come with her car, she called for a cab and as she was about to enter the car, she felt a sharp pain in her belly that lasted only for a second before it left.

Eliana placed a hand on her belly as she whispered "Be good baby, mummy loves you and can’t wait to see you." As soon as Zach comes back from his mother’s place, she plan on asking him to go to the hospital, so that they can check on their little one.
