"Oh my goodness, did she sleep with another man?"

"I guess she was just trying to pin her child on a rich man since her family is not doing well."

"Who would have thought that the Moore family’s daughter would be so cheap? Who knows how many men she has taken to the hotel with her?"

"Does she even know the father of her baby?"

"How could Cecilia agree for her son to marry such a woman? How disgusting!"

These whispers were like a needle pricking Cecilia’s pride, and now, because of this shameless woman, people were going to lose respect for her.

Cecilia pointed at Amber’s stomach and asked, "My son isn’t responsible for the bastard in your womb, right?"

Amber, who was already mortified from hearing Mason’s voice when the audio was played, couldn’t say anything. She still felt the sting from Cecilia’s slap, and the only thing she could do at this moment was to cry.

"Stop your useless tears and say the truth." Cecilia pointed at the pictures she had received and said "This man is the father of your child, right?"

"That is enough Cecilia!" Sloane finally spoke up. She stood in front of her daughter and said, "How could you be so blind that you are unable to see that they were Photoshop? They aren’t real. Someone must be planning to sabotage this wedding."

Jason collected his mother’s phone to look at the pictures and said "This doesn’t look photoshop."

Seeing the disdain in Jason’s eyes, Amber finally regained her voice. "Mom is right. These pictures aren’t real; I have never seen that man in my life. I don’t even know who he is, and this baby is yours, Jason. Please believe me."

"Amber would never lie and I believe her," Sloane said.

Cecilia sneered at Sloane and replied "Of course you believe her, like mother, like daughter. This marriage is over."

"Cecilia, calm down." David finally spoke up.

Cecilia turned to her husband with a frown on her face and asked "Don’t tell me that you still wish for this girl to come into our family? Do you hate your son that much?"

"You are causing a scene," David shouted, surprising his wife because he had never shouted at her in public before.

The hall became silent, and Sloane took that as an opportunity to convince everyone that the photos were photoshopped, but before she could say anything, a domineering voice said.

"I have to agree with your wife on this one, David," Charlotte spoke out.

"Stay out of this, Charlotte," David replied instantly, which did not surprise Charlotte at all.

Instead, the woman smiled and stood up, saying, "Just because your father abandoned you when you were young doesn’t mean you have to force your trauma on your son."

"Charlotte!" David called out in warning. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"This wedding was a joke from the beginning. Now, that everyone knows that the woman your son wanted to get married to is a whore, just free the poor boy from this unnecessary drama." Charlotte said with a smile and Cecilia immediately agreed with her.

"She is right, David. You know she is right. My son won’t get married to her and that is final. Everyone get out, the wedding is off."

Even as the guests stood up to leave, they still murmured among themselves, and some glanced at Amber and Sloane in disgust before leaving the hall.

"Mom, do something; they are leaving; do something!" Amber shouted and pleaded with tears in her eyes for Sloane to do something but she did nothing.

"Amber, you shouldn’t cry too much in your condition. I mean, even if the baby isn’t for Jason, it would still be a shame if you lost it." Eliana spoke softly, and one could hear the concern in her voice.

Amber looked at Eliana in anger and asked "Did you do this? You have always been jealous of me and now, when you saw that I was about to be happy, you planned this, right?"

"Are you accusing my daughter-in-law of somehow ruining your life? Was she the one who forced you into a hotel with that man, or did she force you to kiss him? All these happening are the consequences of your actions. Learn to take responsibility, Amber. Or did your mother not even teach you that much."

"Watch your words, Charlotte," Sloane replied coldly.

"Amber has always been pampered; Sloane barely taught her any manners," Eliana whispered to her mother-in-law, but it could hardly be called a whisper because everyone could hear her.

Charlotte nodded her head in understanding, saying, "I see."

Eliana looked at Amber, and due to her tears, her makeup had already been affected, making her look a little scary, but that wasn’t enough for Eliana. She wanted Amber to suffer more than this, to cry more than this, for her look of despair to be more than this.

"Amber, are you still being delusional that I’m jealous of you? I am Eliana Sanders and you are..... You are just a nobody. I understand how desperate you are about finding a father for your baby but this time, you went too far. Hopefully, the man who you are truly pregnant for will accept you and the baby."

"Shut up. Shut up!" Amber screamed and moved to attack Eliana when Jason held her hand.

Amber looked at Jason with tears in her eyes and softly called out his name, but Jason just looked at her coldly and said.

"Accept your disgrace with some dignity. Today, you have not only humiliated yourself and your family but you have also humiliated my family. Were you finding it that difficult to keep your legs close? You disgust me. At this rate, even Nolan Woods wouldn’t agree to marry you."

"You can’t talk to me like that? I am pregnant with your child!"

"If that is true, then a DNA test should be done," David said while glaring at Charlotte, who was smiling at him.

"What? A DNA test?" Amber whispered out loud. A DNA test can’t be done. What is the use of doing a DNA test with a child that isn’t even there?
