Her Dark Desires-Chapter 75: An Accident

"So were you able to get her signature?" Eliana asked in excitement.

Henry glared at her and asked, "The contract paper first."

"Tsk. Don’t you trust me? Do you think I will dare to cheat you?" Eliana asked with a pout as she gave the envelope in her hands to Henry.

Henry collected it and looked through it, and truly, it was a half-billion-dollar contract. This contract was capable of changing his entire fate. He clung to it and gave Eliana the divorce papers.

Eliana collected the papers excitedly and skipped to where Sloane’s signature was. She looked at her father with a smile on her face and asked "She didn’t know what she was signing, right?"

"No, she didn’t. She thought it was for business."

"Oh, I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she realizes that she no longer has a husband."

"How can you be this way? No matter how Sloane treated you in the past, she is still your mother, so how can you be so cruel to a woman who housed you in her womb for nine months?"

"A month and some days?"

"What?"

"That was how long I house mine in my womb before it was taken away from me. Amber asked her lover to kill me and my child and 2 million was transferred from a foreign account to his account. With Zach’s help, I was able to find out who had the account, and it was Sloane Moore."

"It must be a misunderstanding because there is no way she would....."

"Save it. I don’t need her ex-husband defending her."

"Eliana."

"And also, don’t act as if you are different from her. The both of you are disgusting, no wonder the both of you stayed at each other side for so many years."

"Is that so? Then let’s end things here. You got the divorce papers and I got the contract, so let’s not see each other again."

"Not so fast, Henry Moore. Amber still has something of mine and only you can give it back to me."

"And what is that?"

"The legitimate daughter of the Moore family."

Henry frowned as he asked, "What does the daughter-in-law of the Sanders family want with the title?"

"It has always been mine and I want it back. I want the world to know that I am not an adopted child."

"It’s been years already, let it go. Amber is already married to Nolan, a man twice her age and you are still not satisfied with that?"

"Are you for real?" Eliana asked with a scoff. "Even after everything I just told you, you are still defending her."

"I am not defending her. What I’m trying to say is that you have gotten your revenge on her, and you are also young, so you can always have another child."

Eliana clenched her fist as he mentioned being able to have another child. The doctor had said it was going to be difficult for her to have another child and remembering those words filled her heart with anger and hatred as she looked at Henry.

"Shut your stupid mouth and just do as you are told."

"Excuse me!"

"You have the contract, so ensure you build an empire, and when the right time comes, you will announce to everyone that I am your successor and your legitimate daughter."

"And if I refused?"

Eliana laughed and just kept laughing for a while before she said "When the time comes, you will not be able to refuse me. I have to go; I need to get these papers to the court as soon as possible."

Eliana stood up and was about to leave the cafe when she suddenly stopped and looked at Henry; she patted his shoulder, saying, "Build an empire worthy for me to claim, okay? Don’t disappoint me, or I might end up believing that you were only able to become successful because of Sloane’s opened legs."

Henry glared at her and watched as she winked at him before leaving.

After Eliana left, Henry stared at the document in his hands, and the excitement he once felt over having it was no longer there. For some reason, he couldn’t shake off the feeling that Eliana used him and is still using him. He felt as if his fate was in her hands, and that did not go well with him.

Eliana hummed along with the music playing on her radio as she drove to the courthouse. Zachary has informed her that his lawyers will be there waiting for her, and she will be able to get the divorce finalized today. Today truly felt like a good day for her and within ten minutes, she will be at the courthouse.

Eliana’s singing was interrupted by the ringing of her phone. She glanced at the screen and saw Ryan’s name, guessing he was calling about the test result. Ignoring the call, she refocused on the road. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Just as she turned her attention back to driving, a little girl suddenly darted into the crosswalk, making Eliana slam on the brakes, and her car jerked to a stop. But before she could catch her breath, a vehicle struck her from behind. The impact sent her head snapping forward, and she winced in pain as it struck the steering wheel.

Eliana cursed aloud and parked her car before coming outside; the first thing she checked was the little girl who had run to her mother. Her eyes moved to her car that she had recently fixed and there was a huge dent on it.

The driver of the car that had hit Eliana’s car came out, and it was a young man who looked like he was in his early thirties. I’m so sorry for the damage. I just didn’t expect you to stop like that."

"Are you apologizing or blaming me?"

"What?"

"It’s all right, we will just call the insurance company to fix this."

"Excuse me." The mother of the girl walked up to them and suddenly bowed her head, saying, "I’m sorry, I know this accident was caused by my daughter, so I feel partly responsible for it."

The young man smiled and said "It’s alright. We are glad that she is....."

"It’s not all right." Eliana interrupted.
