Her Dark Desires-Chapter 89: Helina Revenge
Zachary was in his home office doing a video call with Ryan as he checked the files that were sent to him.
"Her name is Helina, she has two daughters aged ten and six, but it seems one died a year ago, and also, she wasn’t an employee of the hotel," Zach said with a frown.
"Then that confirms it. She must have been the one who stabbed Jason." Ryan stated
"If so then why? If she was looking to avenge the death of her husband then Jason had nothing to do with it. I need to find her before the police do."
"When Eliana was kidnapped and you asked the police for help in finding her, a case file was never opened, and I asked the chief personally to ensure that no records were kept. If this Helina is found by the police and claims that Eliana did something to her husband then no one would believe her."
"That’s not what bothers me, Ryan. I am more concerned about how she concluded that Eliana is responsible for her husband’s death; who gave her this information?"
"I will get my best tracker to track her down now."
"No, don’t do that. I already have someone on it."
"By someone, you mean Philip? Does Eliana know that Philip obeys you and not her?" Ryan asked, and seeing the frown on Zach’s face, he already got his answers.
Zach heard a sound in the living room and knew Eliana was already back from walking the dog. He ended the video call with his brother and came out of his study to see Eliana giving food to Leo.
"How was your walk?" Zach asked.
Eliana glanced at her husband and went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of juice before replying, "It would have been amazing if I didn’t run into Leon."
"The detective?"
Eliana nodded as she drank her juice.
"What did he want? Is he stalking you?"
Eliana dropped the glass down and said "Fortunately, he isn’t stalking me. He was in the park with his colleague’s daughter, who sees him as her uncle."
"What did he ask you?"
"He asked if I knew anyone named Edward," Eliana said as she poured another juice into the glass and carried it to her lips.
"He asked you that?"
"Yes, and judging from your tone, I guess you do know Edward. Who is he?"
"He was the cab driver that Mason used to kidnap you."
"What?"
"If Leon knows about Edward, he must also know about Helina."
"Who is Helina?"
"His wife."
"Why didn’t you tell me about this?" Eliana shouted.
"Because I was taking care of it. I just didn’t expect the police to figure it out so soon."
"Hold on. Leah said she saw a woman in the elevator when she was going to the rooftop. Could it be that it was Helina she saw?"
"Yes, that was her."
Eliana’s hand that was holding the glass suddenly became weak, and the glass shattered to the floor.
"Shit." Zach cursed as he rushed to Eliana "Are you hurt?" 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
Eliana looked at the shattered glass on the floor and looked at Leo, who was about to run to her, and shouted, "Sit."
The dog sat down and watched as Zach examined her hand.
"I’m fine, Zach."
Zach sighed in relief when he saw that there was no injury in her hand.
"Zach, what do will do? I think she is after me."
"Hey, no one is capable of hurting you as long as I’m here. You said you trust me, so believe that I will protect you. Ok?"
Eliana nodded and hugged him, but she was still scared. Helina hurting her was the least of her concerns; her major concern is her hurting Zach, the way she hurt Jason.
....
A woman who had her face covered with a scarf and sunglasses entered a small cabin and saw a woman already waiting for her.
She took off her scarf and glasses and asked the woman "What are you doing here?"
"Haven’t you seen the news? You almost killed the wrong person." The woman said in anger.
Helina, who was the woman who entered the Cabin, looked at the woman who was shouting at her and replied, "I only did what you told me to do, Sloane, so stop nagging."
"I didn’t ask you to stab the wrong person. Did Jason in any way look like Zach?"
"I didn’t have a choice, he overheard my conversation with you, and getting rid of him was the only way."
"And you couldn’t even do that properly."
"I...I don’t think I want to do this anymore. I have seen the news, and the family of that boy are after me, the police are after me."
"The police ignored you when you asked for their help in finding your husband. I was the only one who was ready to help you and even at this moment, I am risking my life to help you get justice for your husband and your daughter."
At the mention of her six-year-old daughter, who had died because there was no money to treat her, her eyes well up, and a determined glint was seen in her eyes.
Sloane smiled when she saw it and continued, "Your husband was just a cab driver who made a little mistake, and for that, he was killed by Zach and Eliana. If your husband was still alive today then your daughter would never have died. There is nothing wrong with a mother and a wife trying to take revenge for the destruction of her family. Zachary and Eliana Sanders ruined your happy family; they took away your children’s father, and as if that was not enough, they made you lose your child."
Helina cleaned her tears as Sloane’s words sank into her mind and heart. Even though Edward wasn’t the best husband and father, he was at least the one who brought food to the table. He took care of her and his children and those two monsters took him away from her and destroyed her family. Sloane was right; this wasn’t the time to become weak; it was the time for her to be strong and pass judgment on the people who had wronged her.
