"I made breakfast and some coffee, so help yourself out," Eliana said as she gently put a leash on Leo.

Zach looked at her actions and asked "Walking the dog?"

"Yes, it’s been long since Leo went to the park." Eliana rubs her dog’s ear gently before standing up to look at Zach.

Zach held her waist and pulled her close to him "How are you?"

"I’m stressed out thinking why Jason called my name. You know, Leah said the only person she saw was a cleaner, and she didn’t seem suspicious, so how was it that someone stabbed Jason without anyone else noticing."

"Do you trust me?"

"Huh?"

"I asked if you trust me."

Eliana smiled and replied, "With my life."

Zach felt a certain warmth in his heart at her reply and said "Then believe I will handle this. I will find out why Jason called your name and also why you received that message. I will handle everything, so go to the park and enjoy your walk with the dog "

"Do you want to come? It would be fun."

Zach smiled and pecked her lips. "I will pass."

"Ok. Leo, let’s go," Eliana said and held his leash to lead him, but instead of following her out of the door, Leo went to Zach and rubbed himself on his leg.

It was obvious the little dog wanted a pet from Zach, and he wagged his tail in anticipation as Zachary bent down to rub his head.

Eliana laughed when Leo began licking Zach’s face.

"Ok, that’s enough licking," Zach said as he gently pushed Leo away from him. He patted the dog’s head and added, "Go."

On command, the dog returned to Eliana, who laughed and said, "Despite your cold behavior, Leo still prefers you to me."

"That’s because I’m cooler," Zach replied with a charming smile.

Eliana huffed and dragged Leo with her.

After Eliana left, the smile on Zach’s face disappeared as he brought out his phone and dialed a number.

"Do you have the complete information about her?"

"Yes, boss." A voice replied.

"Send it to me immediately," Zach replied and ended the call, and within seconds, he received a document containing what he needed to know about Edward’s wife.

Eliana removed the leash she had on Leo and rubbed his head with a smile as she asked "Ready to play fetch."

Leo brought out his tongue and wagged his tail and as soon as Eliana threw his little ball, he ran after it.

"So you have a dog?" A voice asked.

Eliana turned and froze for a moment when she saw the owner of the voice "Are you stalking me?"

Leon frowned and replied, "I’m a detective."

"So? You say it as if the police force are clean from crimes."

"I don’t do stalking so don’t flatter yourself," Leon said and pointed to a little girl who was on the swing, asking her friend to push her.

"You have a daughter?" Eliana asked in surprise.

"Of course not. She is Bryce’s daughter."

"Why are you at the park with your partner’s daughter?"

"I’m the detective, not you. Why are you asking me so many questions?" Leon asked with a frown.

Just then, Leo ran back to Eliana with the ball in his mouth.

Leon watched as Eliana pet Leo before throwing the ball again.

"You are different from what I have heard about you?"

"And what have Detective Leon heard about me?"

"Some say you are kind, most say you are rude, mean, and cold."

"Really? They are just jealous because I’m better than them and because I have connections with people they can only wish to have."

"I agree, after all no connection can beat that of the Sanders family."

"Just because we met by coincidence doesn’t mean we have to talk," Eliana said as Leo ran back to her.

"Uncle Leon!"

They both turned their attention to the little girl who was running towards them with a smile on her face.

The girl looked at Eliana and said "Aunty, you are so pretty. Are you Uncle Leon’s girlfriend?"

"What? No way!"

"You don’t need to sound that aggressive," Leon commented with a frown.

Eliana scoffed and pointed to the ring on her middle finger as she said, "This ring right here means that this pretty sister has been taken."

"Taken?" The little girl asked, looking at the ring with curiosity in her eyes.

"It means she is married," Leon explained.

"Tell me, little girl, what is your name?"

The little girl first looked at Leon, who nodded in approval before saying, "Belle, like the princess."

Eliana frowned as she asked "The one in beauty and the beast."

Belle nodded excitedly while Eliana turned to look at Leon with a glare.

"Why are you looking at me? I didn’t name her."

"Have you watched the cartoon?" Eliana asked.

Belle nodded and said, "My nanny says one day I will find my prince charming just as Belle did."

"Well, your nanny lied to you."

"She did?"

"Yes. If you ask me, your Disney princess only developed a Stockholm syndrome for that beast."

"What does that mean?"

"It means, unlike the Belle in your cartoon, your prince should only be charming, he shouldn’t first be a beast."

"Do you have a prince charming?" Belle asked

"Yes, and he is the best," Eliana replied with a smile.

Leo interrupted their moment by suddenly jumping on Belle and licking her face. Belle giggled and asked, "Can I play with him?"

"Go ahead." Eliana consented.

"We have ten more minutes." Leon reminded and watched as the dog followed Belle to play.

The two watched their wards in silence, but deep in that silence, Eliana felt uncomfortable being this close to a cop, and this discomfort turned into worry as Leon asked.

"Do you know anyone named Edward?"

"Edward? I don’t know such a person. Who is that?"

Leon looked at Eliana as if he was observing her every reaction and then said "No one important at the moment. Do you mind if I ask you another question?"

"I do mind. "

Leon ignored her reply as he still asked, "Is Zachary Sanders truly a prince charming, or is he a beast?"
