High School of Demon Hunting-Chapter 1681 - 425: All Are Accidents
"Bang!"
A heavy collision sound echoed nearby, interrupting the conversation between the Mist Captain and the two Great Wizard Demons. It frowned, turned around, and looked at the figure slowly standing up amidst the smoke and dust.
"You broke my ship."
The Mist Captain said calmly, "Actually, we’re not really enemies... If I say I sleepwalked here accidentally, would you believe me?"
"Sure, why not." Professor Yao said, biting on his pipe, brushing off the dust on his robe, and leisurely walked toward the three Great Demons, answering indifferently, "But just like a woodworm accidentally breaking into the Trident Office... although it was unintentional, it doesn’t stop the Tridents from capturing them. So, Mist, and the other two, you’re all under arrest."
Several demons that had just emerged from the ship’s hold saw the nearby red-robed figure, roared, and charged up, only to fly back even quicker, adding a few more broken masts to the Mist Ship.
"Can’t we be a little flexible?" The Mist Captain glanced at the damage on the ship and sincerely spread its hands, "Just like those reckless children... it was really an accident."
"You can think about this slowly while repenting in Black Prison," the professor replied.
Beside him, The Compiler, Mark Bridget, took a step forward.
"Heh, repent?!" It leaned slightly forward with its long wand, barely aiming at the approaching Dean of Jiuyou Academy, sneering, "Just like you? Yesterday, we were all tasting ’memories’ together, and today you put on a robe, pretending to be a wizard... How should I address you? Professor Yao of the First University... Dean Yao of Jiuyou Academy... or perhaps, Great Demon... Three Hunts?"
Professor Yao stopped, took the pipe from his mouth, and looked down as he stuffed a cluster of golden tobacco into it.
After a while, he bit into the pipe again and looked up.
"Three Hunts?" His gaze shifted to Mark Bridget, puffing out dense smoke, his expression changing from indifference to benevolence, he slowly replied, "What a name full of memories... But we are not the same."
"Repentance also requires true courage." He turned to look at the Mist Captain and the other Great Wizard Demon, his expression turning from benevolent to ferocious, "Besides, I am now Yao, Lady Yao... not Three Hunts, thank you."
"Wow, wow."
The Mist Captain took a step back, carefully raising its hands, "Looks like your condition hasn’t improved much... Are you sure staying at the academy is helpful?"
Professor Yao said nothing.
But his three faces began to transform more and more frequently, within just a few words, indifference, benevolence, and ferocity appeared successively over a dozen times, the smoke rising from his pipe swirling around him, making his face increasingly indistinct.
"Bang!"
A massive figure flew in from the left, smashing heavily onto the side of the Mist Ship, splintering wood flew, akin to cannonballs, streaking through the air with a terrifying whistling noise.
The Mist Captain looked at its ship with heartache and shouted at the figure, "Hey, this is the Mist Ship, not the Vortex... why are you fighting on my ship!"
The tall figure that smashed onto the ship’s side slowly stood up, looking at Professor Yao and the three Great Demons in confrontation, revealing a dark green face covered with fine scales, soft tentacles wriggling like whiskers between its jaw and cheeks, through the translucent eyelids, those crimson eyes glimmered with a strange pink, exuding a sickly mysterious vibe.
Whoosh!
A soft tentacle extended from its jaw like a whip with life, curling up a tricorn hat on the nearby deck, and quickly retracting, a broad hand reaching out to catch the hat steadily in its grasp.
Then it held the hat to its chest, nodding slightly to the owner on the deck.
"I apologize," said the captain of the Vortex, his voice low, his soft beard twitching as he spoke, seaweed and shells hanging from his worn leather armour occasionally clattering down, making his apology seem insincere:
"It was an accident, that old woman has a terrible temper..."
"An accident, haha, another accident." Professor Yao’s left shoulder billowed with a cloud of smoke, amid the swirling smoke, features vaguely visible, sneering with a fierce expression, "Have sea demons fallen to the point of just making excuses?"
Creak.
Behind the Vortex Captain, a wooden door suddenly appeared in midair, opened by someone, and a tall witch bowed as she stepped through from behind the door, standing with legs astride, overlooking the warlocks and demons on deck.
It was the former dean of Alpha Academy, Tilda Strange.
"Old woman?!"
She whispered the word, looking down at the Vortex Captain, her eyes sparkling with dangerous light, "I thought Xiangliu’s mad ramblings were just a freak occurrence... it seems all sea demons have gone mad."
As she spoke, the witch raised an arm, electric light and sparks danced between her widespread fingers, a force that made one’s heart palpitate surging in her palm.
"... So, perish, scum!!"
Five thunder dragons made of electricity roared with seething faces and sharp claws, hurtling down from the air, viciously pouncing at the Great Demons on deck.
Due to previous ill-chosen words, the Vortex Captain received most of the ’attention’, with three thunder dragons winding toward it.
The remaining two thunder dragons, one pounced on the Mist Captain, while the other targeted the two Great Wizard Demons.
The Wizard Demons waved their wands, their magic forming dense shields, trapping the struggling thunder dragon midair; the Mist Captain didn’t withstand the powerful spell head-on, instead summoning a small patch of dense white mist to engulf it, the thunder dragon dove in from the sky, into the white mist, where violent roars and impacts echoed faintly.
Moments later, the Mist Captain briskly emerged, no sign of the thunder dragon at its back.
When it appeared on the deck once more, the Vortex Captain and the former dean of Alpha Academy were both gone, and where Professor Yao originally stood, there now appeared a monstrous creature with three heads and eight arms, resembling a mutant gorilla.
The two Great Wizard Demons were holding up their wands, nervously facing the creature.
Seeing the Mist Captain appear, the creature’s left vicious head turned toward it, opening its mouth full of fangs, it let out a menacing roar.
"Mercy, mercy." The right head of the creature bowed, clasping hands together at the chest, murmuring softly.
"If you don’t come out, I might tear this ship apart." The central head of the creature lifted, revealing an expressionless face that sounded exactly like Professor Yao, "Since you’re out, let’s tear it apart together."
