He can’t help but ask, as the amusement didn’t stop flowing from his eyes.

Cyrus felt this to be the biggest shock until now. The man whom he thought to be his brother, was actually..not even a royal?

The embrascement didn’t stop slipping from her face. Lady Aura bit her lower lip in shame to continue the talks for once as her ears turned red, "I told Ryan about this. Even though he was happy...he had duties. He couldn’t back stab his aim and purpose. He wanted revenge from King Almen and that was possible only when Almen would have died and you would take over the throne."

"His vengeance for his late family always had the upper hand on us. He had a past and he wasn’t able to let go of that past so easily...which also put both of us at risk. In the end, I had to give up as I spread the lie that I was conceived with the King’s child."

"If the news of our affair had circulated, I would have been banned and Ryan would have been killed by now."

"I was no one to deviate him from his aim. But all I did was to wait for him...even if would have costed me my entire life....I just never knew that this would happen so early.."

Hearing such an honest review from lady Aura made Cyrus’s heart turn heavy. It was least expected that she would be so truthful on his face, especially when she knew that this matter could cause chaos in the entire Kingdom.

"However, is Dimitri aware of this?" Recalling his past attitude toward his mother and the harsh words Dimitri said about General Ryan, he guessed that this wasn’t an unknown fact from the young vampire either.

In response to his words, Aura didn’t show any intent to hide anything from him, "Earlier, he had no idea about anything. One day, when Dimitri was old enough, he heard my and general Ryan’s talks."

"General Ryan has always maintained distance between us since Dimitri’s birth because we didn’t want anyone to notice the similarity between him and his son. But he was always there to help him and this made Dimitri also like general Ryan."

"But one day, when I was discussing something with Ryan in private, Dimitri saw us and heard about it. This made me confront him about this issue."

"Dimitri is harder. You know this very well, Cyrus. He will not let go of such a thing so easily. Since he learned that he is no one to King Almen, he rushed out from the palace and decided to live in the forest to not face anyone else. General Ryan did talk with him once and I don’t know what they agreed upon. But Dimitri told me that till the time King Almen is alive, he will never show me his face.."

These words are like any hot volcanic heat being poured over Aura’s heart. Her hands sweated along with her forehead. A thick frown curved her brows, showing her being scared, annoyed look right now became more evident. "It is my fault..."

"I don’t blame Dimitri for reacting in such a manner." Cyrus told her, keeping his hand at the back of his body, "After all, he considered Ryan to be his idol."

"He was closest to him and suddenly, he realized that he didn’t share such an easy relationship with his idol. It was hard upon him."

Lady Aura nodded to him. She tried to press the pain in her heart but somehow, revealing everything to Cyrus seemed more comforting than before. This was the first time Aura had acted so bravely after she committed sins....

She patiently waited for Cyrus to react to her situation now. In her mind, it was highly possible for him to banish her since she cheated so boldly as the King’s wife. But the ray of hope never died in the bunch of her heart. She craved for leniency from his side too.

As Cyrus watched her expressions,he took a deep breath to let her know his thoughts firmly. "You don’t have to worry about anything. Everything is settled now. Dimitri will always be my brother....and for you and Ryan.."

"I hope both of you now can find your ways, because there is no wall standing between your love anymore. Complete your love story until it’s too late. After all, your patience has paid you off very well, Lady Aura."

One week passed since they visited the castle of the ladies. Their original caste was already ready after its makeover for them. In their eyes, they realized how important it was for them to revive their old history to be attached to the grounds and not forget the details.

At the same time, Alice was feeding the horses with her hands. She smiled at the thought of how the horses helped them survive in the war for so long. It was still unrealistic to explain.

But her heart pounded in her chest when she felt the strong grip around her waist from behind, "Cyrus!"

"Did I scare you?" he asked from behind and Alice gave him a soft smile. Afterwards, she retreated her gaze back on the white horse to caress it and asked the soldiers to feed the rest of the grasses to the horse.

Cyrus pulled her back into the castle to explore, mingling his hands together. Both of them walked shoulder to shoulder, viewing each detail and how the palace was restored into his original position. "It is good that our castle is back in its real place."

"Yes" Cyrus commented but then, his eyes narrowed slightly on observing Alice’s eyes too. "Why are you worried?" to this, Alice shook her head. "Worried? Why shall I be worried? You are overthinking..."

"I’m definitely not flattering you by asking this. You are worried, or probably.." Cyrus stepped closer to her, inching the closeness between them. He raised her face with the help of his fingers to eye back into her deep oceanic eyes, "....I can see, you are afraid of something."

"You read too much..."

"I’m your husband, I’m obliged to understand you."

Hearing his words, Alice bit her lower lip. Cyrus didn’t let her move from the place and then she realized, both of them were alone. It made a good feeling grow in her heart before muttering, "I’m overwhelmed with our situation."

"We already won. Why are you still overwhelmed?" Cyrus moved his eyes didn’t find it to fit.

"I’m...just thinking. How are we going to handle this marriage?" She can’t help but say her heart out loud which was covered with an unkind dream, "You are going to be crowned as the King in a few days. Afterwards, you will have responsibilities too and this will bring me as the queen consort of your Kingdom. But what about...Suzania Kingdom?"

"Do you mean about how the next in line to throne is no one else but you?" He can’t help but ask, so she gave him a slight and hesitant nod. "After my brother’s death,it is me.. Father did tell me about this and gave me some time before being crowned."

"But sooner or later I will be crowned as the Queen too. How do you think will we manage both the kingdoms together? It will be a lot for us."
