Chapter 195: My Husbands Are Too Lovely (2)

Calen wanted to put a smile on Roxanna’s face, and he also wanted his wife to feel proud of him. That was why he thought the demon tiger’s fang was the key to getting all of those things.

"Were you thinking about your mother when you searched for this... demon tiger fang?" Roxanna finally asked.

Calen nodded immediately. "Yes!" Then he added in a quiet voice, "Is that... a bad thing?"

Roxanna quickly shook her head. "No, not at all." She softened her gaze and gently took the necklace from Calen’s hand. "That actually makes this thing even more valuable, something I must keep carefully."

[I can’t imagine how painful it must be to have loving parents... and then suddenly watch them die right in front of my eyes.]

Roxanna let out a soft sigh. Her mind drifted to an image where she saw little Calen living a happy life with his father and mother.

[He probably wanted to keep the demon tiger’s fang that was treasured by his mother, but it’s impossible because he has run so far away from her.]

Roxanna looked down at the necklace in her hand. [I have to keep this one carefully and treasure it with all my heart.]

[After all, Calen didn’t get this only because he loves me, he also did it because this reminds him of how deeply he loved his parents.]

"Thank you, Calen." Roxanna smiled more sweetly than before, then leaned forward and gave him a gentle kiss on the lips. "I will never let this necklace leave my side."

Calen felt his legs grow weak the moment Roxanna spoke in such a soft voice, kissed his lips, and smiled at him with a smile bright enough to rival the sun.

His wife was simply too adorable and it only made him fall even deeper in love with her.

"I-I also brought the dead demon tiger with me," Calen added quickly. "The meat is a little tough, so you might not like it, but we can use its skin to make clothes."

Roxanna was about to reply, but suddenly stopped when a small black stone fell right between her and Calen.

Clack.

"Who the hell dares to throw a stone at my wife’s head?!" Calen shouted angrily. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

At the same time, Cyrus immediately walked toward the door to see what was happening outside.

When Roxanna lifted her head and looked up, she saw a black cat standing calmly on the roof of the hut. Its green eyes stared sharply at Calen. But the moment it turned to look at Roxanna, its gaze softened right away.

With a light jump, the black cat leapt down from the roof, landing right on top of Calen’s head. Then, without even pausing, it hopped down again and neatly landed in Roxanna’s hands.

Calen was about to yell at the black cat, but Roxanna spoke first.

"Luan! Where have you been?!" she asked quickly. "Were you also in the cursed forest like Calen?"

The black cat gently rubbed his head against Roxanna’s cheek before jumping down to the ground. A moment later, he shifted into his human form.

"No," Luan finally replied. "I went toward the volcanic mountain."

Roxanna’s eyes widened in shock. "V-Volcanic mountain?! Isn’t that very far from our home?"

Just like the Golden Mountain, the nearest volcanic mountain was extremely far away. Normally, the journey would take at least one or two days.

Yet somehow, Luan had already returned to the tribe in such a short time.

"I didn’t go all the way to the volcanic mountain," Luan explained calmly. "I only went to a place where hot lava once flowed."

He bent down and picked up the stone he had dropped earlier. Then he held it out toward Roxanna. "I wanted to find an obsidian stone for you."

Roxanna’s gaze fell on the stone. The obsidian had an uneven, natural shape, but that only made it more beautiful in its own way. As she looked closer, she noticed a claw mark carved across its surface.

"Is this your claw mark?" Roxanna asked.

Luan nodded without hesitation. "In my old tribe, we usually give our mate something with our claw mark on it," he explained. "It can be anything, but my family usually uses obsidian stones."

He paused for a moment before adding quietly, "And the mark on it is a symbol that means... You are mine."

Roxanna felt her heart beating even faster, as if she had just run ten laps in such a short time.

Throughout the day, she had received so many lovely and precious gifts; from the beautiful golden feather, to the precious demon tiger’s fang, and now... a symbol of possessiveness that had been obtained with so much effort.

Roxanna was drowned in so much love that she was barely able to keep standing. She crouched down and placed her hands on top of her heart.

For a moment, she lowered her head, trying to calm the overwhelming feelings inside her chest. Her heart was beating so fast that it almost hurt.

"Why are you all like this...?" she murmured softly.

Cyrus tilted his head slightly, while Calen and Luan looked at her with confused expressions.

Roxanna slowly looked up at them again. Her eyes were slightly red, but a small smile appeared on her lips.

"You’re all giving me things that are so precious to you," she said quietly. Her fingers tightened slightly over her chest. "I don’t know if I deserve this much love."

Calen’s ears immediately twitched. Without thinking, he quickly knelt down in front of her.

"What are you talking about?" he said, sounding a little upset. "Of course you deserve it!"

Cyrus walked closer as well, his expression calm but firm. "You are our mate," he said simply.

Luan didn’t say anything, but he stepped forward and gently placed the obsidian stone into Roxanna’s hands, as if reminding her that the gift truly belonged to her.

To them, the answer was obvious. Roxanna was someone they wanted to cherish.
