I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 579: Siezing The Sun Star Void
On one of the wild planets within range of the sun star void, Nash received the news of the skirmish.
"It seems they can handle the defense themselves." Nash let out a sigh of relief.
Initially, he had wanted to station himself to deal with any intruders personally.
But Castor and Dren were confident they could manage on their own.
Not wanting to discourage his subordinates, Nash let them be.
However, to make sure nothing slipped through, he still deployed Atom and the Void Pulse to handle any unexpected events.
Seeing they had driven off the enemy with little effort, Nash couldn’t help but smile.
Then, as he was reading the latest reports from the perimeter, his Chronos communication token rang.
"Torr?"
"I’m finally able to reach you! Why is the signal so bad?"
"I’ve been a bit busy. I didn’t notice your call." Nash apologized.
A few days ago, deep in battle, Nash had missed the incoming call.
He only noticed when he stopped to rest, and by then, seeing it was just a single missed call, he hadn’t bothered to call back, figuring nothing was urgent.
"Tsk. As expected of you." Torr said flatly.
He had assumed the distance between them was pushing the Chronos token’s range. Turns out Nash was just lazy.
Thinking back on how Nash usually communicated with the Xenus Alliance before, he let it go.
"Anyway, why did you call? Did something happen?"
"Didn’t you ask me to look for members of the Xenus Alliance? I managed to connect with dozens of teams near my coordinates."
"Oh? That’s great. When will you be able to come here?"
"Are you in a rush? Do you need help? I could send a few tier 8 battleships from my side first."
Remembering that Nash was in the process of seizing the Sun Star Void, Torr figured he wasn’t having an easy time.
"No need. I’m still managing here." Nash quickly declined.
Having a few tier 8 battleships come to reinforce them was tempting, but Nash wasn’t set on the idea.
The Star Alliance Territory hadn’t even settled yet. Bringing in another force would only muddy the waters.
There was no rush. Once they cleared the area around the sun star void, he could invite them properly.
He hadn’t even reached out to the peripheral cosmic teams of the Xenus Alliance yet, let alone bring in a major power.
"If you say so. But if you need anything, don’t be embarrassed to call." Torr said, understanding Nash’s concern.
Otherwise, even if they couldn’t relocate the entire Firios Team, Torr wouldn’t mind sending a fleet or two.
"Tathia called me a while ago. She’s preparing to collect some void crystals to relocate her team and the others to my location. After that, we’ll head your way. Is that alright?"
"That’s fine. Everyone’s welcome. What about the others?" Nash nodded.
Once the Star Alliance territory was settled, he could put the limitless void energy from the sun star void to full use.
Much less a few dozen cosmic teams, even the entire Xenus Alliance, he was willing to take them all in.
"Haha, perfect. I’ll pass the news to Tathia."
"Hmm. Is that all?"
"Nothing else. I’ll call if something comes up."
"Alright..."
Ending the call, Nash went back to killing.
Though he couldn’t match a battalion in terms of clearing speed, he still pushed himself harder.
This is not only to feed the Severance Knife what it needed, but to release the restless energy building inside him.
After years of mostly training, something felt stuck in his chest.
The fights in the Chronos Arena didn’t seem to scratch it, leaving him with a sense of frustration.
Although it didn’t affect him in any way, it was still unsettling.
Patting his chest, Nash continued to charge toward the dark beast.

Soon, with everything moving smoothly, time began to slip by.
Continuing his killing spree, Nash gradually stepped back from monitoring the defense perimeter, though he still checked every report that came in.
Week after week, month after month, more and more cosmic teams began detecting the energy the sun star void radiated.
Like flies drawn to the smell of rot, they came in waves without end.
Fortunately, with time, the large-scale defensive weapons were being set up and calibrated one by one.
Though far from perfect, each could still fire one or two shots, more than enough to destroy any tier 8 battleship that dared push through.
When that wasn’t enough, the Void Pulse moved like an assassin, tearing through enemy lines until they retreated.
Small as it was, its speed and firepower let it wreak havoc in moments.
As a result, between the kills and the deterrents, the Star Alliance’s reputation began to spread.
While it drew the attention of stronger teams eager to uncover what they were protecting, it drove off most of the weaker ones.
With only one or two teams bold enough to attack at a time, even the powerful ones couldn’t break through their defense without going all out.
Furthermore, as the energy emitted by the sun star void steadily dropped, thanks to all the measures the Star Alliance had put in place, most cosmic teams’ interest began to wane.
Most concluded they had guessed right: the Star Alliance had found a large-scale void mine cluster and was in the process of clearing it.
With fewer teams trying to invade, the Star Alliance finally had the time to turn its full attention to clearing dark beasts and renovating the planetary and space axis.
They even began using the large-scale defensive weapons to deliver pinpoint bombardments, greatly easing the workload.
With time flashing like a dream, seven months passed in a blink.
"Time flies so fast." Nash sighed, leaning back at Neon Planet.
Without realizing it, over ten months had passed since they had been sent into this wild void area.
Having upgraded his Severance Knife to a tier 5 conceptual weapon and hunted every tier 6 dark beast in range, Nash no longer bothered with the activity swirling around the sun star void.
Reading the report confirming the successful clearance of all dark beasts, he couldn’t help but smile.
"It’s finally time to settle..."
