I Evolve By Collecting Infinite Spirits-Chapter 64: Deal
Sorcan replied with a sense of worry in his voice: "But everything must be hashed out in a contract! There are many details still missing! We must--"
He continued, speaking passionately about his merchant ways of buying and selling.
Sin noted all of this as he and Sorcan walked back to the main marquee.
"Listen, I want to tell my first batch in this auction. Is that possible?" Sin asked the merchant.
Sorcan furrowed his eyebrows, "First batch? With my influence, I most likely will be able to add another item to the endless auction item list that will go on for the whole night... but just how much are we speaking here?"
Sin smiled, "Leave that to me. I will have all of the product ready within a few hours."
Sorcan reached into his small pouch and grabbed a ring.
"Here... take this storage ring. It holds 100 by 100 space."
Sin’s eyelids widened with surprise, "Are you sure!? I feel like something like this is far too valuable for me to hold on to. It’s probably no less than 100 gold coins..."
Sorcan smiled warmly, "We are partners now, Sin. Think of this not only as a sign of trust, but a test of trust as well. This should speed up your ability to get the crystals by quite a lot."
Sin chuckled, "You bet..."
The two parted ways, Sorcan re-entering the Auction House marquee as Sin left for the Spirit Crystals still hidden in the cavern.
Sprinting out of the city took him the longest time, but after that, it was smooth sailing on Zydrax’s back.
It took him about an hour to arrive at the hidden location of the crystals.
Thankfully, the Spirit Crystals were still in one piece. Sin took out the storage ring, absorbing all of the crystals inside of it.
The ring had a thousand feet of space so it could easily store all of the crystals.
Within the two-hour mark of leaving, Sin was already back at the carnival.
This time, he didn’t wait in line. Since he knew the guard would let him in, he simply cut in front of everyone.
When he got to the front, the guard quickly stepped aside--letting Sin through without any trouble.
Sin quickly slithered through the rows and up the stairs, arriving at the top floor.
His eyes scanned the area for Sorcan, quickly finding him amongst the groups on the top floor.
As he made his way over to the old merchant, Sin noted the people that Sorcan stood with.
It was a group of young people who looked to be Hunter’s.
There were two women, both of the same height. They both had long blonde hair and wore almost identical clothing.
However, one was dressed in yellow, the other in blue.
They wore tight brown trousers and white button-up shirts underneath yellow and blue overalls. They also had iron shoulder and knee pads on.
The other two were men, both also very similar looking. Just like the girls, they had the same stature. Long brown hair reached down to their shoulders, and they wore leather armor along with iron shoulder and knee pads.
Except, one wore a blue undershirt, while the other a yellow one.
Sin walked up to Sorcan without any hesitation, tapping the old man on the back of the shoulder.
He wasn’t really that old--probably close to about 50 years in age. For Sin, however, that felt like a skeleton.
The four Hunters turned simultaneously with Sorcan, wondering who it was that had suddenly appeared.
They all had serious expressions on their faces.
Sin could instantly guess why this was. The person they were most likely hired to protect had just gotten beaten to a pulp and nearly killed.
Sin was sure that Sorcan had to reveal this to them in order to explain the injuries on his face and body that still had yet to fully heal.
"Sin? You’re back so early..." Sorcan said with slight surprise.
On hearing that name, the frowns on the faces of the Hunters slowly turned to smiles.
Their expressions became more light, their eyes widening with intrigue and gratitude.
"I have my ways." Sin joked, taking out the 100-by-100-foot storage ring and handing it over to Sorcan.
Sorcan paused, "Before I take the crystals, tell me your price. This is a business, after all."
At that moment, Sin’s eyes widened, ’Oh fuck... I’ve made a crucial mistake.’ He dreaded instantly, ’I have absolutely no clue how much this is all worth. In fact... I don’t actually even know the exact value of Spirit Crystals. All I know is that they are expensive as hell!’
Sin’s silence continued until even Sorcan narrowed his eyelids. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Sin? A price?" The merchant inquired once more.
A couple of the Hunters also curled their lips downwards in confusion.
Sin raised his chin with confidence at that moment: "This is our first deal..." He paused, "You showed me your trust by letting me use this storage ring. Let me repay the favor by letting you choose what you deem to be a fair price for the amount of crystals I have in this ring. I trust that you won’t be unreasonable."
Sin spoke with stunning confidence, his voice honorable and his expression kind.
The Hunters and Sorcan were taken aback by Sin’s professional attitude.
"Gee..." Sorcan chuckled, "Its like you’ve been doing this your whole life, young man."
He raised his small pouch, absorbing all of the content of the ring into his pouch in an instant.
"Do not worry... I will set a fair price for you. However, I will be taking a 20% cut out of all sales." Sorcan smirked.
Sin raised a brow, "20 percent!? That sounds like a bit too much!" His mature front was broken instantly as Sorcan burst out into a small laugh.
The Hunters also couldn’t help but chuckle slightly as they saw this.
"How about this then..." Sorcan proposed a new idea, "20% for this sale, and we can talk about the future percentages later on. Also, I’ll throw in the storage ring as a bonus."
Sin was impressed by this offer, "Deal!" He said without any more hesitation.
"Deal it is then!" Sorcan retorted joyfully.
