Chapter 65: Imperial Prince

Sin was greeted by the Hunters surrounding Sorcan after this.

They all were eager to meet him as if he was some sort of celebrity or something.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Sin!"

"I would like to thank you personally for saving Sir Raitor’s life..."

"It is a shame that we weren’t able to do anything, but you came to the rescue just in time it seems."

"You were truly a gift from god. Thank you, wholeheartedly."

They all praised the ever-living crap out of him.

After cracking a few jokes amongst themselves while in conversation as the night continued, the six had gotten along fairly well.

Finally, Sin’s attention was captured by the auctioneer again.

"Ladies and gents! It is time for one of the Grand Items in this Grand Auction that happens only once a month, mind you!" The auctioneer was ecstatic as he spoke.

"This item is proposed by none other than the Imperial Prince himself! The one true chosen heir to the golden throne of Captainia and the 15th of his holy bloodline, Lord Magnus Aurex Leonidas!"

As this name was announced to the members attending the auction, a deafening silence crashed over the entire arena.

Suddenly, Sin felt the air around him grow heavier. A magnetic force pulled at his hair--all leading towards a certain direction. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

All others in the marquee also noticed this.

All heads turned, and all eyes darted in the same direction.

Magnus stood atop the arena, his arms crossed and his chin held high. He unleashed his aura which attracted the attention of all those within the marquee.

Noticing the presence of the Imperial Prince, all heads bowed.

Sin looked to the side, even noticing Sorcan and his Hunters bowing their heads.

From the auctioneer to merchants, Hunters and nobles, mercenaries and commonfolk--all humbly lowered their egos and tilted their glabellas toward the ground and their necks toward Magnus.

Sin’s eyes widened as he saw this, his eyes slowly moving to look at Magnus.

’Imperial Prince huh... I guess it makes sense now.’ Sin thought to himself, at a loss while in awe at the same time.

When looking at Magnus, he noticed Magnus staring right back at him with a slight smile on his face.

Magnus shook his head, ’This guy... does he really not know how to read the room? If any other of my siblings were here instead of me, they would have had him executed right here for not bowing his head.’

Still, he decided against punishing Sin. He wouldn’t do anything like that to Sin until he figured out what it was about the young man that triggered his intuition to be alert at all times...

After a couple seconds or so, all heads rose again, and Magnus stopped unleashing his obvious Spirit Energy.

As Sorcan raised his head, he noticed that Sin hadn’t lowered his head at all the entire time.

It surprised him slightly, making him wary, ’What is he thinking? And more than that... why did Magnus not to anything? He is known for setting examples of those who defy his position...’

"The Grand Item being sold now is the still beating heart of an Elder Myrios King Scorpion! Thats right, an S-Rank beast capable of wreaking havoc upon entire large cities! Its an extremely rare item that is considered to be almost priceless... but not quite! As this is an auction, a price needs to be placed on everything that comes and goes out of this very field!"

As the auctioneer said this, he walked over a giant box beside him encased in a large gray curtain and pulled it right off.

Underneath was a massive glass box that was 20 feet in height and 8 feet in width. It contained a giant beating heart that was purple with red glowing veins.

As soon as those words left the auctioneer’s lips, a series of gasps echoed throughout the arena.

Magnus smiled as people shot shocked glances at him again.

"Are you serious!?"

"Just how powerful is the young prince?"

"An Elder at that??"

Magnus bathed in the glory, not able to help but smile.

Sin’s eyebrows were furrowed, ’S-Rank!? Are you kidding me? Even Zydrax is barely B to A Rank at maximum... but an S-Rank is on a completely different level. It would take multiple even A Rank beasts to lay a finger on an S Rank...’

He looked over at Magnus, ’He... is on another level.’ Sin felt the gap between his strength and Magnus’ stray apart several miles at that point.

It felt like he was standing on the floor, looking up at Magnus who was atop a mountain peak that reached above the clouds.

"The starting price for this item is 1000 Gold Coins!" The auctioneer announced as number pads began to shoot up into the air.

In the end, the heart sold for 1750 Gold Coins.

After that, the auctioneer surprisingly announced Sorcan’s name.

"This great Spirit Crystal Merchant has traveled all the way from Leadre--the golden capital--and has come prepared with a massive batch of premium quality crystals! It seems he wants to show this city what he is all about!"

The auctioneer went on for a little while longer before revealing a large field filled with large and small Spirit Crystals alike.

They were rich in color, a deep light blue that illuminated the entire marquee.

"The starting price for these is 350 Gold Coins!" As the auctioneer said this, Sin’s expression changed to a shocked look.

’3-350!?’ Sin said to himself, ’Holy fuck... that’s more than I expected.’ He felt as though he had just come across some sort of cheat code.

’It looks like that many spirit crystals is no joke... I guess I came across quite the lucrative strategy--that is--if I can keep at it.’

In the end, the crystals sold for a total of 500 Gold.

A large grin was plastered on Sin’s face as he heard the final selling price, a warm feeling enveloping his body.

’Ahh~~Im rich baby.’
