I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 119: Painful Farewell
I thought everything was over. I thought everything in my life was ruined the day Dasha left me.
"Listen to me, I never loved her at all and what happened between me and that woman was just an accident! I wasn’t expecting that child let alone enjoying my time with her!" I said to the wife I loved so much, when she found out I had a daughter from another woman.
I didn’t love that woman, I didn’t really have an affair with her and what happened between me and that damn woman was just an accident. I was so drunk that I didn’t even realize that a woman had approached me and we ended up having sex that night.
I don’t really remember what happened that night, but when I woke up I saw another woman at my bedside. Though I remember doing it together with Dasha but next to me was not my wife but someone else.
Dasha continued to pack her clothes, with tears flowing and this made my feelings really hurt to see her crying. I felt like a failure as a husband, especially now that we had just had our second child who was only a few months old.
"Please don’t leave me. I’ll be so devastated when you leave, please Dasha trust me!"
I kept begging her, but she wouldn’t listen to me.
"Then I’ll kill that woman. I’ll kill her and the child that was just born! But please don’t leave me."
She turned to me with a look of disbelief at what I had just said.
"No Vasco! You can’t kill her, let alone kill your own daughter! The baby is completely innocent. The ones who did wrong were you and her," Dasha told me.
I knew the child was completely innocent, but she was born to a woman I didn’t expect and I didn’t want to see either of them. But Dasha asked me to accept them and at least raise the child until she could take care of herself.
"I’ll give her Child support. I’ll give her a house for her to live with her mother. But don’t leave me!" I gripped both her shoulders because I really couldn’t lose her.
Especially since she was leaving with our two children, I couldn’t lose my daughter Odelia and our newborn son. I didn’t want to lose them!
"I’m sorry, I need some time to calm down. Let me go and maybe I’ll come back after I feel better."
She really did leave me along with our two children to a place that I don’t know where he went to this day.
I felt so broken and didn’t know what to do. Living with the woman who had destroyed my family at her request.
Until finally a miracle appeared where someone came to see me, and he claimed to be my son, Samuel.
"I’m Samuel Grace, I found all the information about you in my mother’s book. I am your son and I think this is the first time for us to meet again after 20 years," he said so seriously towards me.
I remembered my son’s features very well even though he was a baby back then. He showed me a picture of him as a child along with Dasha and our daughter Odelia. That really confirmed that he was my son.
Without saying anything, I hugged him and that’s when I couldn’t stop myself from shedding tears. Because I was finally able to meet him after all this time.
It might be a bit embarrassing when a mafia boss like me cries, but for me this moment was the most incredible moment I’ve ever felt when I was reunited with my own flesh and blood.
Flashback End
I didn’t get to meet Dasha and Odelia when Samuel said he was hiding this from both of them. But I guess fate finally brought me together with my daughter.
She grew up to be a very beautiful woman and so similar to Dasha. Her two blue eyes really remind me of her. My little daughter Odelia, she’s all grown up.
"Thank you sir, you found my daughter. I’m really grateful to you!" she said while holding the little girl I found a few minutes ago.
So the little girl was my granddaughter? Why had Samuel never told me about this at all?
"Odelia..." I called while trying to reach her face.
Really beautiful, she really looked like her mother. I longed to touch that face again, remembering how my little Odelia always ran to me and was so happy whenever I caressed her cheeks.
I remembered how she called me with her cheerful face, always sitting on my lap whenever I did my work.
But when I was about to touch her, she suddenly pulled away from me with a confused and surprised look.
"Hey what’s wrong? It’s me, don’t you remember me? My little Odelia," I called out trying to reach her so I could hug her.
But she kept moving away from me, like she didn’t recognize me at all.
"I’m sorry sir, I think you’ve got the wrong person. I’m probably not the one you’re referring to," she said, slowly stepping back from me.
"What do you mean? It’s me, your father Odelia! Don’t you recognize me at all?" I asked with my feelings shattered again when I found out that my own daughter didn’t remember me.
She kept shaking her head with a terrified look on her face and ran away from me. I wanted so badly to chase after her, but seeing how frightened her expression was made me unable to move at all.
My chest felt so tight when I realized that my little princess no longer remembered me.
"Do we have to chase after her boss?"
"No need. I don’t think so. Let’s just get out of here and make sure she’s okay while in Dormania," I ordered my men.
I grabbed my cell phone and called Samuel. I told him to return to the mansion immediately no matter what he was doing at the moment.
"Go back to the mansion now. I have something important to talk about."
******
Samuel was confused when he got a call from his father asking him to come to the mansion immediately. He was in the middle of work, but since his father told him to come he couldn’t refuse.
By driving his car, he returned home and went to his father’s room. As soon as she entered the room, she saw Vasco standing in front of the balcony glass looking out.
"What did you want to talk to me about? You asked me to come home so suddenly," Samuel asked as he stood in the center of the room as usual.
"I have something very important to ask you. And I want you to answer it honestly if you really are my son," Vasco said with great seriousness.
His son didn’t understand why his father was suddenly acting like this, let alone saying that he had to be honest if Samuel was his son. But he nodded in agreement, waiting for his father’s question.
"Have you been going to Zondalian to see Odelia? Does Odelia live with your mother there?" asked Vasco more seriously because Samuel had never explained clearly about Odelia and Dasha.
He swallowed, confused as to why his father was suddenly asking about them.
"Why are you suddenly asking about that? Shouldn’t..."
"Answer my question right now!" He turned to Samuel and gave him a piercing look that left him no choice but to tell him.
He told him that he had indeed gone to Zondalian to meet with Odelia. But his mother lived in Mocoado. During this time he had asked permission to be able to meet with his older sister because he had some problems.
"Including on her wedding day? Including the day you met your niece?" the mob boss asked, much to Samuel’s surprise that his father knew this.
Even though no one else knew about Odelia, and the only person who communicated with his father was him. How could he know this and not even know where he got it from.
But Vasco asked his son to tell the truth and Samuel did. He told him what happened to Odelia and Sean and even to Vincent. Eventually Carmelia was born and became a very sweet little girl.
Hearing Samuel’s explanation, Vasco was so angry that he hit the table so hard and stared so hard that he looked like he was going to kill whoever was in front of him.
"My daughter has been married twice, and no one told me! No one contacted me so that I could walk down the aisle with her! Do you consider me dead?!" he asked angrily because even through Odelia’s two weddings, he was not there for his daughter.
Samuel knew this would make Vasco very angry, especially since Odelia and Sean’s marriage was still relatively new, 5 months ago. A time when he already knew about his father and he should have told him about Odelia’s marriage.
"Why didn’t you tell me! Do you also think I’m dead when I’m in front of you?!"
He gripped both of his son’s shoulders as he screamed in front of his face with a trembling voice filled with anger, pain and sadness.
Samuel had nothing to say, other than to say that this was his mother’s request. "I’m sorry, father."
The mob boss was speechless, feeling the pain of not being able to be there for his daughter even in her most difficult moment. Until finally Odelia no longer remembered his face even though the last time they met, she was already 3 years old.
Only the cries and sounds of little Odelia’s screams now haunted Vasco back to the day when Dasha took her away from him.
"I really am a bad father."
