Just as they were about to enter the elevator, a woman suddenly stopped them both and spoke in a very condescending manner to Odelia.

"Where did you find this homeless woman? Why did you bring her back home?" asked a woman who was none other than Amber.

They both turned their heads and Samuel let out a rude sigh as he had almost forgotten that she was there. From how Samuel responded, Odelia could deduce that this woman in front of him was the woman who had slept with their father.

"You’d better shut up and not say anything. I don’t want to hear anything from a lowly woman like you," Samuel said to the woman which was enough to make Odelia somewhat surprised by how her younger brother spoke.

’Where did he get that rude?’ she thought in surprise.

"How can I keep quiet if you bring another woman into this mansion? Who do you think you are to bring someone else here without my permission?"

"The son of the Lorenzo family. Unlike you who are not part of this family, you better shut up or father will kick you out immediately if he finds out you just mocked his eldest daughter."

Amber’s eyes widened when she found out that the woman in front of her was Vasco’s eldest daughter. First it was Samuel who came to the mansion, now the man’s eldest daughter was coming back too.

This made him furious and also feared that his and Joice’s position would be instantly eliminated due to the return of Vasco’s family.

"She can’t be his eldest daughter! Oh you must have brought another woman here on purpose just to make Vasco think that his family is back. You must want to take the mansion away from me and Joice right?" asked Amber who tried to dismiss the thought.

"Since I’m sure you won’t, I’ll carry on the family name. And when that day comes, I’ll make sure I kick them both out of this place," he said.

Odelia could understand that, even she herself wanted the mansion to belong to her family only and no one else. Even though Joice was their half-sister, to Odelia she was still an outsider.

They finally arrived on the 3rd floor and made their way to Vasco’s study. In front of the room the guards recognized Samuel even though he was carrying another woman at the time.

"Father it’s me, I brought someone you’ll want to meet." Samuel bought the code for the guards to open the door and they both went inside.

At that moment Vasco was looking out the window, unfocusedly looking in their direction. This time Odelia again saw the same man she had seen two days ago, standing not far from him.

Now she knew who he was, and she wanted to hug him immediately. Carmelia asked to get out of her mother’s arms and as soon as she stepped on her feet, she immediately ran towards Vasco who surprised her.

"Huh?"

Vasco looked down, seeing the same little girl hugging his leg. It was then that he looked at Odelia as well as Samuel who stood staring at him.

His eyes widened when he saw his daughter and son in front of her at this moment. Especially his daughter Odelia, whom he had not had the chance to hug when they first met.

"Odelia..." he called out with a look of disbelief that she was finally in front of him while looking at him.

"Daddy... I’m here Dad," she replied with a tearful smile.

"I’m sorry Dad, I can’t remember you at all because I haven’t seen you since Mom took me away. And that was a very long time ago," Odelia said to her father.

She felt very happy, because her father was still alive and didn’t hate her for what she had done two days ago. Odelia missed him so much, especially after feeling the warmth of her father which made her remember many things in the past.

She was crying in his arms, and so was her father who was shedding tears without caring if he was known to be a cruel person but at a time like this for him this was an extraordinary thing.

"Mommy!" Carmelia ran towards them and Vasco immediately turned to look at his granddaughter.

He smiled and took the little girl in his arms, kissing her on the cheek.

"My granddaughter, I can’t believe that time has gone by so long and now you have a daughter," he said, reminding her that he had never been able to attend his daughter’s wedding.

When a father’s dream of accompanying his daughter down the aisle was shattered because of a mistake in the past. And that made him feel his heart was broken too.

"I had hoped to be able to accompany you at the altar, but in reality I just couldn’t be there even in your most difficult moment," he said in a trembling voice and it made Odelia feel very sad.

"Oh Dad I’m sorry, I really wish you had been there to keep me company but you weren’t. In the end it was Sam who always accompanied me to the altar," Odelia replied.

Her father turned to Samuel feeling proud that he could replace him to accompany his sister.

"Although this dream could not be realized, I hope you are happy in your marriage now."

They sat together, enjoying hot tea and some sweets that Vasco had ordered from his subordinates to give to his granddaughter.

Carmelia ate the cupcake and biscuits her grandfather had bought her with great pleasure, sitting on his lap. Odelia was worried because Vasco was spoiling Carmelia so much. But she tolerated it because it was their first meeting.

"How do you like it?" Vasco asked his granddaughter, who nodded her head in response.

"Calmelia likes it a lot!" she replied cheerfully as she ate the cupcake staining her face with sweet cream.

The man laughed, saying If he remembered how little Odelia was like that too. Loving sweets while sitting on his lap enjoying the cupcake even though her mother had scolded her not to eat too many sweets.

However, Vasco continued to spoil her, which made Dasha give up when Odelia was already in her father’s hands.

"Dad, don’t spoil her too much, she won’t want to go back to the hotel." Odelia was worried that when they returned home, Carmelia would continue to look for her grandfather.

They also couldn’t stay in Dormania for too long because in four days, they had to return to Zondalian. Sean’s business trip would finish soon, so they couldn’t stay too long.

Samuel saw how their father was very happy when talking to Odelia, especially talking about the things that had been missed between them so far. He was also pleased to see that Odelia was much more cheerful than usual.
