I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 129: We Can’t Control Someone’s Feelings

After a long conversation between Megan and Henry, he left her home alone. Although Henry said he had no problem with it, and hoped to remain friends with Megan. Still, she felt guilty for what she had said.

"I hope you’re happy with him. If you guys are getting married soon, I’d love to come. So you can invite me and I hope we stay friends," Henry said before finally driving off in his car.

Megan went back into the house and sat on the sofa thinking about their conversation earlier. She felt that this was the best thing to do. Although she was happy that Henry didn’t get carried away with his emotions and get angry with her.

She knew deep inside, he was very sad and disappointed with the answer Megan gave. But this was what was best for everyone.

Megan didn’t have to force herself to marry him, and he wasn’t betrayed because she didn’t love him.

"I feel like the worst person ever. Even though he always treated me well and gave a lot of things to me but the reply was like this," she muttered while leaning back on the sofa.

It wasn’t long before a call came in, and it appeared that Samuel was calling her. She was sure he had just read her message and was calling her to see how she was doing.

She answered the phone, and sure enough, Samuel asked about how the conversation between Megan and Henry went.

"Everything is fine, but there are a few things that make me feel still so guilty. He didn’t yell or say anything to me, but seeing him smile even though I could tell his heart was hurting made me feel sad too," she said, recounting what happened a few minutes ago.

"I can understand that. But you’re already with me, you don’t need to keep feeling guilty, because I’m sure he’ll heal himself soon. If you continue to feel like that, you can continue to feel bad every time you see me," Samuel said.

According to him, if Megan does continue to feel guilty, every time she will meet Samuel, Megan will think of Henry because of how she rejected him for Samuel. And he is sure that it will ruin their relationship later and she will continue to be in the middle of the threshold where she cannot be with Samuel. But she couldn’t be with Henry either.

"You can’t love two people at the same time, even if you don’t admit your feelings for Henry. But what your feeling right now is like you love him but because you pity him. That’s not a good thing," he said.

"I get it, loving someone because you feel sorry for them is a bad thing because you feel sorry for them but not for yourself."

Megan then told Samuel everything they talked about and he listened well. He felt that Megan’s decision was the right one even though it was quite painful for Henry.

But he also knew that it wasn’t easy to change someone’s feelings. Likewise, Megan hopes that Henry will forget her soon, but he believes it will be very difficult because what Henry feels for her is an old love that has returned.

Love when he was still in school until he finally met Megan again after hearing the news about her.

"You don’t have to worry about that, if he says that it’s better for you to stay friends then stay friends with him. I won’t stop you from staying friends, as long as you don’t do anything more with that guy," Samuel said very seriously because he would do anything to Henry if anything happened between them.

He wouldn’t hurt Megan, but he could eliminate Henry without her even knowing. And that was something he wouldn’t tell her, but would keep in mind for the future.

"You’re right, we can’t control people’s feelings. Even our own feelings we can’t control. Just like when I love you and I can’t control this thing to stop doing it." Megan chuckled as she said that remembering how she liked Samuel, but she wondered if he didn’t like her either.

They then talked about several things including Odelia and Sean meeting with Vasco. Everything went well and it seemed that Vasco accepted Sean.

Megan was relieved to find that out, especially when she learned that Odelia had slapped Joice for her. She was touched by that, and would thank her when she got home.

"Have you had lunch yet? Don’t skip it because I don’t want you to be thin as a skull when we meet. I don’t want to touch my hardened lover who’s just skin and bones," Samuel reminded Megan to keep eating.

Megan snorted in annoyance commenting that if she ate too much, Samuel would comment that she looked fat. But if she only ate a little Samuel would comment that she was too thin.

"What exactly do you want! You’re such a pain in the ass!" she said in mock annoyance because she knew Samuel was only saying that to tease her.

"Even though I’m annoying, you still love a guy like me. Admit it," Samuel retorted.

She couldn’t say anything else because what he said was true. As annoying as he was, Megan still liked him and whatever Samuel said was actually because he cared about her.

It’s just that he said it in a teasing way. And he knew that Megan was very easily provoked when teased about something.

He then said that he intended to tell the others about their relationship. And he also plans to talk about their marriage later.

Of course, this was good news for Megan, but Samuel had one request that might be quite difficult to make.

"During the meeting, I want my mom and dad to be there. I won’t tell this to them but only to you, Odelia and Sean. I’ve talked about meeting my mom and dad with Odelia and Sean, and they agree," Samuel explained.

She nodded in understanding, Samuel wanted them to work together on this so that Vasco and Dasha were in the same room again without them knowing. And Megan thought this was a good idea.

She knew that he would be embarrassed to say it if his men were around. But to her it was so cute that Samuel would still make the effort to say it.

A few days later, Megan went to the airport to pick up Sean and the others. When they finally arrived, Carmelia ran up to her aunt with great excitement.

"Aunty!!!" she cried and Megan caught her niece’s body.

"Ohhhh you missed aunty, hmn?" She kissed Carmelia’s cheek happily, making her squirm in Megan’s hands while giggling.

She then hugs with Sean and Odelia as they finally approached.

"It looks like someone is very happy after the vacation. I’m sure something happened, right?"

Odelia smiled, saying she would tell them more when she got home.

They then boarded Megan’s car to go home. Carmelia fell asleep again during the journey.

"So how was your vacation? Everything was fun, right? I didn’t even get to go to the tourist attractions there," she said as she drove.

"Everything was fun. The tourist attractions there are also very beautiful, just like the ones on the internet. We got a lot of photos together," Odelia explains.

Sean gave his permission for Megan to be with Samuel and that made her very happy.
