I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 145: I’ll Do Whatever It Takes

"Great job Megan! I know you can do better," said a man who was none other than Megan and Sean’s father.

"Do you think so?" asked little Megan as she was taught to use the gun.

They were at a shooting range, and their father had taken them there at a young age.

"Yes, I’m teaching you this so that you can protect yourself one day. If mom and dad aren’t around, you and your older brother can protect yourselves," their father said as he rubbed Megan and Sean’s heads.

"Where are you going?" asked Sean.

But his father didn’t answer him, saying that no one knew what would happen in the future. He did it just in case and asked his two children to continue practicing.

Megan nodded her head and then returned to holding the gun in her hand and focusing on the target.

Megan aimed her gun at Cornor and pulled the trigger, killing him instantly by shooting him in the head.

BANG!

The incident was witnessed by Samuel and all of Cornor’s men who immediately tried to attack Megan, but Samuel stood up from his position and grabbed the gun held by one of his enemy’s men.

"Kitten, get away from there!"

Shots were fired, and Samuel managed to bring them down killing them on the spot.

Breathing heavily, he threw down the gun in his hand and turned to Megan. They stared at each other before she finally fell to her knees as her body was still in so much pain.

"Kitten!" He ran to her and hugged her tightly.

"Samuel!" She cried in his arms, feeling so much pain. Her body was trembling as she was still terrified of the current situation.

But Samuel tried to calm her down, he rubbed her head gently while saying that everything was over. He let her cry in his arms, so that she would feel calmer first.

He then picked her up and carried her to the car to take her to the hospital as he was worried about her injuries.

"Hang in there, I’ll take you to the hospital and treat this wound."

In the morning, Megan opened her eyes and saw herself lying in a hospital bed with an IV attached to her hand.

’My head hurts so much, what happened next?’ she thought.

She looked next to her and saw a sleeping Samuel sitting up with his face healed. The man chose to wait for her rather than resting elsewhere even though he himself had some pretty serious injuries.

"Sam..." She took his hand and squeezed it gently, waking him up from sleep.

He opened his eyes and saw Megan who had regained consciousness. Of course he was relieved that she was awake.

"How are you feeling? Does it still hurt that much?" Samuel asked her which was answered with a shake of the head.

"It’s not as painful as before. I’m fine, you came just in time before he actually killed me. I was so scared then," Megan said in a shaky voice.

Samuel took her hand and kissed her forehead, calming her back from her fear as he whispered that this would never happen again.

"I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again, you won’t be out of my sight again. I’m sorry this is all my fault," he replied as he rubbed his head.

Samuel continued to accompany Megan, calming his terrified girlfriend by staying by her side.

"I’m so proud of you, because you were so brave to even shoot that asshole."

"I just don’t want to see you hurt by him. I can’t see you constantly getting beaten up by them like that. I don’t want to see you get killed by them either," Megan replied with a smile.

He felt so happy and worried that this would happen to Megan again. Samuel didn’t want to put his girlfriend in danger again, but he also didn’t want to stay away from her because of this.

He wanted to stay close to Megan, vowing to look after her and make sure this didn’t happen again.

"I’m sorry, it’s all my fault," he said as he kissed the back of her hand.

"It’s okay, I’m glad it’s over."

But sometimes things don’t turn out the way you want them to.

Not long after they arrived at Dormania, Sean and Odelia came to the hospital. When Samuel said that Megan had been found he went to pick her up. That day Sean immediately booked tickets to go to Dormania along with Odelia and their daughter.

Odelia insisted on going because she was worried about Megan. And also Sean who could be furious with Samuel. She wanted to try to contain her husband’s anger, to help Megan and Samuel’s relationship later.

"Oh my God, what happened to you? How did you get hurt this badly?" asked Sean with a very worried face looking at his little sister who was covered in bruises.

"I’m fine now, you don’t have to worry!" replied Megan as she grasped Sean’s hand feeling happy that she could see the only family she had.

Sean could sense that Megan was scared at the moment, but he returned the holding hand hoping that Megan would get better.

However, seeing her condition made Sean very angry and immediately turned to Samuel and grabbed him by the collar.

"How dare you let this happen to her! I trusted you with her and you let me down!" he said angrily as Megan panicked at the sight.

Samuel just looked down in guilt without being able to say anything to him.

She turned to Odelia, asking her to stop Sean from doing anything else to Samuel. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Slowly Odelia tried to calm her husband’s anger, saying that this was not something they wanted but it was Samuel’s negligence.

"Please calm down, I know you’re very angry but you can’t let your anger consume you. Calm yourself, dear," Odelia said, trying to break it up.

"You’re lucky your sister is my wife. Otherwise-!"

She pulled Sean away from her little brother, rubbing his chest so that he would calm down and this could be discussed properly.

But Sean didn’t seem to want to listen to any excuses. He stared intently at Samuel with his breath still sounding harsh He said, "Stay away from Megan now and never see her again."
