I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 70: Situation Out Of Control
They all listened to Megan’s idea about Odelia pretending to be nice to Vincent. It might sound good because then Vincent would follow Odelia’s words, if only Odelia didn’t fight back like before.
However, according to Sean, this was very risky especially if Vincent realized that Odelia was just pretending and he followed Odelia’s game.
"That could happen, Vin is not someone who is easily lied to."
"I think I have one other idea, but this is quite risky for our family name, mom," Alice said.
"What your brother is doing right now is also very risky for our family! But tell us what your plan is!"
Alice explained that Odelia and Sean could take Vincent to court over the r*pe he had committed on Odelia. Despite their status as husband and wife, there were laws that could hit a husband who forced his wife to have sex when she refused.
"And that happened to you, right? That way, you can sue for divorce with this case and Vin will have no choice but to sign the divorce papers and get a restraining order so that you can’t see each other anymore," she explained.
"She’s right, that way everyone will have their own lives. The law will protect Odelia from him. But in this case, we need an evidence. That will make it difficult for us to do this," Sean said.
Just when they thought Alice’s ideas were better, they were stymied by the difficult-to-obtain post-mortem evidence. Moreover, the incident was one week ago and it is difficult to be re-examined.
They became confused again because they couldn’t find a way out of this problem.
In the end, they put the matter aside and Samantha and Alice left Sean’s house to go back to the hotel, as they didn’t dare to go back to Vincent’s house.
The three of them planned to go out a little late because of the discussion they were having. In the end he took Odelia, Megan and Carmelia out to a nice, less crowded place so that Camelia wouldn’t fuss.
"I didn’t expect them to come and talk about this. They even ended up apologizing to me for not knowing what to do," said Odelia, who was still a little incredulous at the arrival of Samantha and Alice who wanted them to help stop Vincent.
"That’s how it should be! They made Vincent into a terrible man. Karma will always come and that’s what they got," said Megan as she played with her niece’s tiny hand. "Right, Carmelia?"
Carmelia looked confused by her aunt’s question which she still didn’t understand.
"That’s why I once told you that you don’t have to be evil to get back at someone. Because later what you say will come back to you," he said as he focused on driving the car.
She nodded her head and looked at the road in front of her as the car pulled up to an open-air restaurant on the edge of town.
The restaurant looked very pretty because it was decorated with green trees and gardens around it. Even the tables of the customers were placed in the outside area like a gazebo for each table.
"This place is very nice, there is even a fish pond that looks interesting. There are so many koi fish here," Megan said and knelt down by the fish pond.
They went to one of the empty gazebos and sat down at a table. A waiter came and took their order and went to collect it.
After lunch, they chatted about fun things so as not to think too much about Vincent and their previous conversation. Sean also took turns holding Carmelia so that Odelia could enjoy her food.
"Since your arrival, Sean has become softer than usual. Especially after Carmelia was born, before when it was just me and Sean at home, he never spoke so softly and like a strict older brother. He was always telling me not to do this or that," Megan explained to Odelia.
They then noticed Sean who was quite far from them holding his daughter.
It appeared that he was pointing out the flowering trees to Carmelia. Odelia smiled as she noticed how much her husband loved their daughter.
"But I think Sean was a kind and gentle man from the start. It’s just that before he couldn’t express those feelings and closed himself off because of the hurt he had received," Odelia said.
Megan nodded her head because what Odelia said was true. Sean had always been very caring even though he was strict and sometimes very angry.
She was grateful to Odelia for making Sean more honest with his feelings. Even healing the wounds inside him that Megan had been unable to do. But Odelia suddenly grabbed both of her sister-in-law’s hands
"You don’t need to thank me for that, because Sean also healed the wounds I had. We healed each other and now it’s time for you to find someone similar to heal the wounds you have," she said.
Although Megan always looked smiling and laughing in front of everyone, Odelia realized that there was a big wound inside the woman. It’s just that no one saw it and realized it except her and Sean.
Even Sean was deeply hurt when their parents died at the same time, surely the more sensitive Megan was just as hurt.
Her eyes widened when she heard Odelia’s words, her smile suddenly fading into the real face of Megan who looked so vulnerable.
She sighed and laughed despite the pain she was feeling. "I’ll find him later and I’m sure he’s already near me. I can feel it but I still don’t know who it is," Megan said with great confidence that the person who would heal her wounds was already nearby.
Odelia pulled Megan into her arms and rubbed her head gently. She returned the hug and said that for now being around them was enough for Megan.
"The presence of you and Carmelia is also a little medicine for me right now."
