I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 80: Odelia’s Bad Feelings

A few days before the second hearing of Odelia’s case against Vincent, they were impatient to hear the judge’s decision.

Odelia and Sean thought that soon they would start all new things in their lives, and this would be the happiest start they would get. However, they had no idea that something was already targeting their lives.

"I’ll be home as soon as I can, but I don’t know if it’ll be in the afternoon or evening. Are you okay with being home alone with Carmelia?" Sean said when he was going out of town that day for a meeting with one of the CEOs of another company.

"If you don’t have time to go home in the afternoon, it’s better to stay at a hotel so that nothing happens on the way. You could be exhausted and might feel sleepy while driving. I’d be very worried if that happened," Odelia replied as she straightened her husband’s tie.

Sean nodded in understanding, saying that he would try to follow Odelia’s lead. The morning went on as usual and Sean left the house in his car. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

At that time Megan was also out of town because she had business to do. So that night it would only be Odelia and Carmelia. But of course Sean’s men would still be guarding and watching their house.

"Nothing left behind? Did you bring everything you needed?" she asked, making sure that nothing was left behind that would make him have to turn the car around to retrieve the items.

"Nothing at all. Take care, if I don’t make it home tonight. I’ll go straight home tomorrow morning." He kissed her forehead and also her lips softly.

Sean also kissed their daughter’s forehead and cheeks, then rubbed her head. "I’ll go to work first, and after work I’ll come straight home to play with you."

It was a beautiful scene in which Odelia should have felt happy that her darling had even taken the time to chat with Carmelia.

But for some reason she felt very worried and it was hard to let Sean go. When the man was putting on his shoes, he held his arm as if he didn’t want him to leave.

"What’s wrong? Do you need anything before I leave?" asked Sean as he smiled and rubbed her head.

"Is this meeting really that important? Can’t you just leave tomorrow or the day after?" asked Odelia with a worried feeling, her instincts seemed to want to keep Sean from going to work.

He chuckled and said it was impossible because he had already made an appointment to come this afternoon. Moreover, the journey took three to four hours. So Sean would have to leave in the morning.

"Don’t you want to let me go? You’re so sweet..." Sean hugged Odelia and kissed her forehead and cheek again. Told her that he would be fine and then left their house.

In his car there was already Ronald who was going to go with him. Odelia watched as Sean got into the car and drove away from the house. Her gut feeling told her that something bad was going to happen, but she tried to brush it off.

She went back into the house, and laid her daughter down on the mattress in the family room. Odelia accompanied Carmelia to play as she continued to try to calm herself that everything would be fine.

"Why does it feel so uneasy? I don’t usually feel like this. Moreover, I don’t feel like wanting Sean to leave. I hope nothing will happen to him," Odelia murmured while watching her baby.

"Your father will be fine, right? Everything will be fine."

Because she was still worried, Odelia tried to contact Megan because it was possible that she felt this feeling for Megan too.

"Oh today I’ll just be at the hotel doing my job. Did something happen?" asked Megan over the phone when Odelia asked her what she was doing and where she was going that day.

"Nothing. Everything is fine and I just wanted to know what you were doing. It’s very lonely when it’s just me and Carmelia at home," replied Odelia who was trying to make excuses so that Megan wouldn’t feel worried.

Later that evening, Sean and Ronald intended to spend the night at the hotel as they had just finished a dinner with the other CEOs at 9pm. Thinking they were exhausted, they decided to stay overnight.

"There’s a hotel around here, not far from the restaurant." Ronald was included to drive but Sean asked him to take turns, let him drive.

"You’ve been driving since this morning, and you’ll be driving again tomorrow to return to Northern Zondalia. So it’s better now that you rest and let me drive a lot," Sean said as they finally needed a seat and went to the hotel.

The city streets were still very crowded because it was not yet 11:00 pm. There were still many cars passing by on the highway and traffic jams were happening.

When the red light finally turned green, Sean pressed the gas of his car to run it. However, from the right side, a truck suddenly drove towards them.

CRASH!

It happened so fast that Ronald and Sean didn’t even have time to react but the truck had hit their car quite hard.

"There was an accident! There’s been an accident, call the police and an ambulance! Catch the truck driver so he doesn’t run away!" shouted several people around Sean’s car which was already half destroyed because the collision was so strong.

A lot of people immediately surrounded the car and tried to save them. At that moment Sean still had a little bit of consciousness, but his body seemed to be crushed and he couldn’t move.

’What happened? I can’t be like this. I promised to come back tomorrow morning and see Odelia and Carmelia. I want to go home, I want to see them again...’

"Odelia... Carmelia..." he called in a voice that was so weak and trembling.

Slowly everything went dark, and Sean lost consciousness.
