I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 93: Sam, Are You Mad?
I couldn’t understand why he was acting like that towards me. Coupled with what he did at the door when he just arrived at my house, why did he get that close to my face?
Especially when he saw Henry coming, Sam just walked right past him. Was he unhappy with Henry’s presence, but why?
There’s no reason for him to feel that way because Henry is my guest, right? He’s also my friend.
But Sam was also cold in Odelia’s presence, whereas normally he would be normal and not like that. This time he was completely different, did something happen to him?
But why should I think about this?
Just let him be like that, it’s none of my business anyway!
However, I couldn’t keep him out of my mind. It’s like he keeps haunting me with all the things he does and says. It’s weird, it’s like there’s something weird about me or it’s him!
"I need to call someone, you guys continue your conversation," Sam said and walked out leaving us behind.
I kept watching him leave without being able to say anything. Until 15 minutes passed, he didn’t come back. What was he doing?
Who was he calling for that long? Was it his girlfriend in Dormania?
It was possible, considering she would want to know about him being here. But somehow thinking about Sam who was currently on the phone with his girlfriend made me feel tired.
There was a sense of disappointment in me that was uncomfortable thinking about it. But why not? It’s his life, it’s only natural that he has a girlfriend, right? Sam wasn’t lacking anything other than his annoying nature.
Surely when she was together, Sam wasn’t that annoying. He must be kind and gentle with his girlfriend. Not when he’s with me. He always taunts me with his annoying words and makes me furious.
Huft... Stop thinking about this, Megan. Why can’t you just let him out of your head?
"I’m going to the bathroom, I’ll come back later," I said making an excuse then walked down the stairs and went to the front door.
Is he still on the phone with someone?
I opened the door and saw him smoking a cigarette while looking up at the sky. But I guess he noticed my presence and looked straight at me.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
I closed the door behind me and looked at him. "I thought you were still on the phone with someone. It looks like you’re done."
"Yes, you could say that. Then what are you here for?"
"I... Just wanted to get some fresh air," I replied and sat on the chair.
Sam dropped his cigarette on the ground and stomped on it. "There’s no fresh air, I just smoked."
I know that too, I saw you smoking. But for some reason I didn’t want to go back inside. It feels like I want to stay here with him.
"So what do you like about him?" he asked suddenly.
"Huh? What do you mean?" I asked.
He walked over to me and sat on a chair near me. "What do you like about that guy named Henry? That you want to date him."
Ohh... He’s talking about Henry apparently...
"Hmn... He’s a nice guy, warm and mature. He also cares for me," I replied.
He’s very different from the Henry he used to know. That’s why he was quite impressed with how he had changed. Although for Megan, Henry was not as rumored by other students at school.
"The first time I met him, he was sitting alone in a deserted hallway leading to the school roof. His face was so dirty and he had cuts, I knew he must have gotten into a fight with a senior..."
"Then you went to him?" asked Sam.
I nodded my head. "Yes, even though they said he was very naughty and terrible. I felt sorry for him because he was alone there with no one. So I lent him my handkerchief."
From then on, for some reason she followed me around and engaged me in conversation.
"I think he’s thanking me for lending him my handkerchief."
However, for some reason Samuel looked like he didn’t believe my answer. Is there something wrong with that?
"Are you too stupid to realize someone’s feelings?" he asked me.
"What are you getting at?"
"Forget it, you’re too stupid to realize it. I think he came back to see you this time because his feelings aren’t over with you."
Unfinished feelings with me? Hmn...
"Yeah but he’s lucky, finally getting what he’s been hoping for all this time from you. Next time don’t be so stupid to realize the feelings of the people around you!" Sam said scolding me.
"I don’t even understand what you mean. But yeah in the end me and Henry now go out a lot," I said again.
Sam and I talked about a lot of things that we rarely talk about like this. Whereas usually he’s always annoying by talking rudely or making fun of me. But for some reason now I felt happy to be able to talk casually with him.
"Huh, really? Ahahaha..." He told me something funny that I didn’t even think would happen before.
I saw him chuckle, a smile on Sam’s face that was rarely seen from him. He looked so much different than usual. I don’t know why I feel like I belong here with him.
Sitting together, talking about our daily lives. It feels so comfortable.
Why do I feel like this? Is it because Sam and I have never had a normal conversation and then when we can finally talk like this, I feel so peaceful.
I don’t understand...
Even though I also talked about my daily life with Henry, it felt very different.
I looked up at the sky, and one by one the raindrops dripped in front of us until finally the downpour came. The wind was cold, but my heart was warm with it.
"Hey Sam," I called out.
"What’s wrong?"
I stood up from my chair and turned to him. "Let’s play in the rain!"
"Huh? Are you a kid? I don’t want to. I’m not a kid who plays in the rain," Sam said rejecting my invitation.
But I didn’t take no for an answer, I pulled his hand to come with me under the rainwater. Sam refused, he threw his cell phone on the chair because he was worried it would break.
Pffft... He saved his stuff first.
I pulled him forcefully until finally we were under the rain together. I jumped up and down happily feeling the rain, while Sam seemed to be massaging the bridge of his nose.
"Hey come on, have fun together!"
"Huft... That’s embarrassing. I’m not the kid to--"
Again I pulled him along, inviting him to dance in the rain while laughing. He slowly followed my movements and laughed softly too.
We enjoyed our playtime until we were exhausted.
"It was fun, wasn’t it? It feels so good!"
"Yes, you’re right."
I looked at him who was staring at me. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Suddenly Sam pulled my waist closer to his until our bodies were pressed against each other.
"Sam?"
His other hand was on the back of my head and he slowly pulled me into his kiss. For some reason I didn’t rebel or resist him, my body moved on its own closing my eyes.
My first kiss with him right under the pouring rain.
