I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 96: Odelia Is Starting To Get Tired
During Sean’s recovery, even when he was still in the hospital, it was Odelia who was always by his side to look after him. She helped to look after and care for Sean for almost 24 hours, along with their baby daughter Carmelia.
Although Megan helped out, Odelia still often took on all the work, including housework alone because Megan had to go to work. Sean, who wanted to help, had trouble getting down the stairs, so he could only look after Carmelia while Odelia did everything.
Sean was worried that Odelia must be exhausted, so he asked Megan to find a maid to help her. However, Megan reminded him that his wife had once said she was uncomfortable with having a maid in the house.
"But if she continues to do it all by herself, she could feel stressed and maybe burnout. I don’t want something like that to happen to her," Sean said during a discussion with Megan.
He was still gradually getting all the memories, but he couldn’t bear to see Odelia doing everything alone even though she said she was fine.
"Hmn... For now, it’s better if we help her as much as we can. Sam is here too, so as long as you’re here, help us so Odelia can take a break!" said Megan turning to Samuel.
"I know, since yesterday I’ve been helping. I just can’t help with anything that has to do with... Carmelia," he replied.
While they were discussing, Odelia came out of the room holding Carmelia. She approached them and left the baby with Sean.
Her face looked rather pale and exhausted, which of course made the three of them unable to keep quiet and wanted to tell her to rest. However, sometimes Odelia could be very stubborn because she wanted to keep doing her work.
"Take a break, Odelia. You shouldn’t overload yourself with all the work. You need a break," Samuel told his sister.
"I’ll rest later, I have to wash Carmelia’s clothes," she replied.
Her voice sounded so tired and weak, of course they couldn’t allow that.
"Odelia, come on, you can do that later, you’re not a maid who has to work all the time. Take a break, let me do Carmelia’s laundry." Megan stood up from the sofa and picked up her niece’s clothes basket.
However, Odelia still said that she could do it herself. Until Samuel finally gave Sean the code, as if he was sure that Odelia would definitely listen to his words.
Sean, who was still not back to his usual self, tried to speak firmly to his wife.
"Odelia, you have to rest. I don’t want you to be exhausted like that," he said.
"But..."
"Rest now. No buts, do it now. Go to your room and get some sleep," Sean said again more firmly.
Hearing Sean’s words, Odelia finally nodded. She then went back into their room, while he accompanied Carmelia to play while Odelia rested.
Everyone thought everything was going well, until suddenly they heard a loud bump from Sean and Odelia’s room.
Surprised, Samuel immediately ran into the room and was shocked to see Odelia lying on the floor unconscious.
"What happened?" asked Sean who was trying to stand up, but he was having trouble because he carrying Carmelia and the condition of his leg.
"ODELIA!"

Sean sat on the edge of the bed while watching Odelia’s unconscious face. Her face was so pale and she looked so limp. Seeing this, Sean felt so hurt for letting Odelia be in this state.
Carmelia lay next to Odelia and pressed their cheeks together, as if she wanted to comfort her mother.
"Ma..." she called.
"Carmelia, your mother is resting," said Sean who tried to lift their daughter’s body.
But the baby seemed to wag her hands to keep her with her mother. Her tiny hands hugged Odelia’s head, hoping to make her feel better.
Not long after, Odelia woke up and realized her daughter was holding her. She smiled and rubbed her head.
"Hello dear," she said weakly. She then looked at Sean who was looking at her worriedly. "What happened?" she asked.
"You fainted earlier, I told you to rest but you didn’t listen to me." Sean took Odelia’s hand and kissed the back of her hand.
She smiled, feeling happy that Sean was slowly getting back to his old self even though his memory had not fully recovered.
"I’m sorry I made you feel worried. I just wanted to do what I could but I think I’ve reached my limit," Odelia said.
"That’s why I want you to rest, I’ve discussed this with Megan and we’ll hire a maid to do the housework. At least for one week so you can rest."
He knew that Odelia would refuse, but he reminded her that if Odelia was sick, it would be even more difficult to look after Carmelia. Given that their daughter would always want to be close to her mother and if she got sick, it was certain that Carmelia could not be close so as not to contract her illness.
"Think about Carmelia too, just look at her now. She didn’t want me to move her and has been hugging you ever since."
Odelia chuckled as Carmelia continued to hug her like that. She lifted the baby’s small body and laid it on her chest. She laughed happily at the feel of her mother’s warmth and Sean was sure that Carmelia was also calmed down after Odelia woke up.
"Alright then, I’ll rest while the maid does the housework. But I don’t want her to stay overnight at our house," she said to which Sean agreed.
Sean smiled because at last Odelia could take a short break, at least a week until she felt better. He didn’t want Odelia to be overworked to the point where she felt stressed or burnt out from it all.
Although for Odelia it was her duty as a wife or housewife, but for Sean she also needed adequate rest to do all these things. While his current situation couldn’t help Odelia, he would pay anyone any amount to do the housework.
"If only my situation wasn’t like this, I would like to take you out for a short vacation. But my memory and my leg are still not recovering, I’m sorry Odelia. I feel like I’ve been a terrible husband to you," said Sean who felt so guilty that he couldn’t do anything at a time like this.
Megan had told him that every holiday, Sean would take them for a short refreshing outside to go to some place that might make them feel better. Especially Odelia who must have felt bored at home, so he invited her to go at least to relieve fatigue for a moment.
It’s just that with his current condition, Sean couldn’t even drive a car let alone walk outside. Just to go to the hospital and have a check-up, Sean struggles to walk. His right leg has a metal brace that keeps his leg from bending.
"If I can get the iron off in the near future, I’d like to get it off so I can easily use a walking stick. But the doctor said it would take a long time for that," he continued.
Hearing this, Odelia immediately held Sean’s hand and told him that he was not a failure as a husband. All of this happened beyond their expectations and no one knew that this would happen.
"Don’t think of yourself like that, I never once thought that you were a failed husband or a burden to me. To me you are still Sean who is always there for me. And I believe that one day things will get better," she assured Sean so that he would stop thinking bad things about himself.
Odelia knew that Sean was thinking like that because he wasn’t himself. Because the real Sean had never said anything bad about himself. She knew that he must have felt that way because he saw her current situation which he thought she was burdened because of all the things that had happened to him.
But she can understand that, and encourages Sean that he can recover from all the things that happened. Like his lost memory and also his damaged leg.
Seeing her sad father, as if she had a sensor of her own, Carmelia crawled to him and sat on his lap.
"Dada!" she called and hugged Sean’s body which made him feel better.
"Are you trying to cheer me up? Thank you Carmelia, I feel better now," he said as he rubbed his beautiful daughter’s back and smiled at Odelia.
Meanwhile, Megan and Samuel helped to do the housework. When Megan was washing Carmelia’s clothes, Samuel helped her because they washed them by hand to make them cleaner than using a washing machine.
However, on a whim, Samuel spilled foam on Megan’s face which upset her and they had a foam war in the laundry room.
"Take this! You started it first, you bastard!"
"Heh, you’re the one who’s easy to annoy."
Megan who was initially annoyed became so happy with Samuel’s arrival because she felt she could laugh contentedly in his presence. Likewise, he sometimes smiled whenever he saw how she laughed.
Although each of them still thought that this should not be done because of the misunderstanding they had with each other.
