Chapter 41: Do Something for Me Sylphaine.

Amon looked towards Leon once and then gave a small smile. His body turned to his left as he started walking towards a way that led to another room.

Leon picked Synthia up on his back and started to follow behind Amon. His steps were slow, eyes were scanning the insides of the tower.

They both reached inside the other room, which was next to the hall.

The room wasn’t that big, but the inside of the room had two pathways, one led to the male dorm room, and the other led to the female dorm room.

Amon looked at Leon once, his voice came slowly. "You may rest now, Ragnar." He said.

He walked towards Leon, as he directed both of his hands towards Synthia and grabbed her from Leon’s grasp.

"Don’t worry about her, I’ll lay her down on the bed and then go back to the stuff which I was doing." He said, his voice was low but polite.

He slid her hand on top of his shoulder and began walking alongside her to the female dorm room.

Leon gave a single nod to him, turned towards the male dorm room, and started walking towards it.

When he entered, he noticed that the room was small. It had only two beds placed against the walls, a large window occupying the space between them, and a small table set beside each bed.

He sat down on one of the two beds, untied his shoes, and then he lay down on the bed.

He raised his hand in the air as he squeezed his palms together tightly, forming them into a fist.

His eyes remained fixed on the ceiling, but he muttered under his breath. "Sylphaine,"

A portal of green mana appeared inside the space, small sparks of green mana were erupting through it, and soon after, Sylphaine appeared beside him.

She leaned in slightly towards Leon’s face, touching his cheeks with both her hands, and said cheerfully. "You called for me, master?" A bright, beautiful smile was on her lips. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

He nodded once, eyes still fixed on the ceiling, looking at the fan, which was rotating slowly. "I want you to do something for me,"

Sylphaine hummed slightly as she looked at Leon eagerly.

He took a small pause, and then continued after a few seconds. "Go to the elven kingdom, or wherever the place you find even a single elf. Go and find the clues regarding Maya." He said, his voice firm.

She gave a quick nod, leaned back up as she straightened her back, and pointed her thumb towards her chest. "Leave it to me, master. I’ll do the work effectively so that you’ll never even have to worry about this matter for even a small second." She said brightly.

A small chuckle escaped through his mouth, his gaze shifted towards her as he flicked her forehead and said. "Don’t waste time talking, go and do your work."

She nodded a few times, and then a bright mana started to flow out through her body. It started to circle her body.

Soon after, it circled her completely and began rotating as it was sucked inward. The space fluctuated slightly before returning to normal, and Sylphaine’s presence was no longer inside the room.

A small sigh escaped through Leon’s mouth as he said. "At least I got a good companion with me, who listens to me and heeds my orders. Unlike someone." He said, a disappointed look appeared on his face.

Draviel’s voice rang loudly inside his brain. "It’s not my fault that you’re so weak," Draviel said, voice deep.

’You’re saying that I’m weak? Last time you said that you would help me from now onwards.’

Draviel didn’t give any kind of response to him.

The room got filled with silence, the only sound inside the room was the sound of his slow breaths, and the breeze of air which was entering through the open window.

He closed his eyes, arms of his were resting behind the back of his head.

Soon after, sleep caught up to him.

He woke up to the loud voice of someone shouting, his head was aching. ’Who’s shouting this loudly? I can’t even rest after that long journey?’

His eyes opened slightly, sleep was still visible inside them. He took his hands towards them and started rubbing his eyes.

Then, he pushed his body to get back up on his two feet as he went outside the room.

The thing on which his gaze just fell completely took his soul out of his body.

Amon was on the ground, lying miserably, as if he had been beaten up by someone who was twice his size.

And someone was sitting on top of his back, and that was Synthia.

Her hands were grabbing the hair of Amon, squeezing it backwards, which made his head hover in the air.

Tears were getting welled up inside the eyes of Amon, and low groans were escaping through his mouth. "AHHH!!!"

"I’m sorry, Synthia," he said in pain, his voice was cracky.

"I should have brought you nice hot soup with your favourite snacks, but I didn’t... I’ll go and bring it right now, please forgive me." He said, sobbing slightly.

Synthia’s grip of her right hand loosened from Amon’s head.

A trivial sense of hope appeared in front of his eyes, but Synthia started hitting his head with her fists.

Leon raised his hand towards his mouth, coiled his fingers as he coughed lightly. "Ahmm..."

Both Amon and Synthia turned their heads towards him in unison.

A bright smile appeared on Synthia’s face as she got up from Amon’s back and made her way to Leon.

She leaned in slightly towards him and said. "Hey, newbie. Did I wake you up?" She asked.

Leon’s gaze was still fixed on Amon, who was still on the ground, but he was now smiling in pain, the relief of Synthia leaving him alone had made him smile even while sobbing.

His eyes drifted towards Synthia, and his voice came low but polite. "No, senior. I slept comfortably."
