"Croak—"

The croaking pierced the ground, reaching the underground of West Mountain Base, reverberating constantly among the ruins.

All the cockroaches that heard the sound, as if bewitched, began to collectively turn and crawl outward.

The hideous Insect Master outside was stunned, then his face hardened with cruelty.

"Have I... been found?"

Outside West Mountain Base, Frog's croaking continued to echo.

This was a declaration of war!

They would never fight underground voluntarily, but if the enemy did not come out, Frog's Bane of the Swarm would first obliterate almost all the mutated cockroaches below.

Gao Tianwu struck with both hands, red flames swirling around his body.

He pushed his palms forward, sending head-sized balls of fire into the cockroach masses.

Soon, the cockroach swarm ignited. They were high-protein creatures, easily flammable, and once lit they burned in great swathes.

They were extremely experienced at this method; ordinary cockroaches encountering Frog truly met their natural enemy and had no power to resist to the end.

But Gao Tianwu also knew matters were not so simple.

"If this really is the cockroaches' old nest, there must be even harder foes to deal with."

Gao Tianwu cautiously watched the west.

Suddenly, Frog opened his eyes, torn from the trance of music.

He looked in a direction, his gaze sharpening, then signaled Gao Tianwu with a nod.

Gao Tianwu understood and immediately looked over.

It was a snow-covered peak.

Suddenly, an explosive roar came from within the peak, massive chunks of snow avalanched and began to collapse.

Behind the collapsing snow, a large shadow slowly emerged.

Snow whirled through the air, and those shadows gradually approached Gao Tianwu and the others.

As the snowflakes fell away, their silhouettes were revealed.

It was a hideous, monstrous person whose face was distorted and ghastly, as if facial features had been randomly reassembled.

His hunched body was skeletal, yet his eyes showed a sickly yellow-white hue. He looked like a humanoid cockroach, staring fixedly at Gao Tianwu and the others, making Gao Tianwu's brothers feel a chill.

"Sure enough, Mr. Zhang was right. There really is a mastermind behind this!"
