Immortal God of War-Chapter 767 - 732: Li Li, Li Rong? _1
"Hmm!" Qin Feiyang was surprised. He’d only said it casually, not expecting the Black Dragon Snake to be so resolute.
"Are you sure?" he asked again.
"I am," the Black Dragon Snake nodded, its eyes filled with unwavering determination.
"Alright, wait a moment." Qin Feiyang gave it a deep look, then turned and walked to the Flood Dragon Cauldron to concoct an Elixir of Misfortune and a Marrow-cleansing pill.
The Black Dragon Snake took the Elixir of Misfortune and, without hesitation, swallowed it. Its cultivation instantly began to plummet!
Qin Feiyang also started refining Body-refining Elixirs and Qi Gathering Pills.
「Three days later.」
He picked up a Qiankun Bag, tossed it to the Black Dragon Snake, and said, "These Body-refining Elixirs and Qi Gathering Pills are enough for you to break through to War King."
"Thank you," the Black Dragon Snake said with genuine sincerity.
"We’re family; no need for such formalities," Qin Feiyang said with a smile. "From now on, don’t worry about anything else. Just focus on your cultivation. We’ll all be waiting for you to rise."
After spending this time together, he already considered the Black Dragon Snake one of his own. Likewise, the Black Dragon Snake had completely integrated into this large family.
Next, Qin Feiyang consumed a Shape-shifting Pill, transformed into a gaunt young man, left the ancient castle, and activated a teleportation portal, appearing directly on the street in front of the Grand Pavilion.
News that the Grand Pavilion would be auctioning the Potential Elixir had already spread three days prior. So now, despite the early hour, the area was already a sea of people.
Qin Feiyang stood in the crowd, scanning the throng at the entrance of the Grand Pavilion. Soon, on the left side of the entrance, he spotted a short, thin man in black clothes anxiously looking through the crowd.
Qin Feiyang strode over and smiled. "Is the room booked?"
Indeed! This man was Fatty.
"Hmm?" Fatty eyed Qin Feiyang suspiciously. Suddenly, as if realizing something, he chuckled, "Do you even need to ask? I already booked it yesterday."
"Then let’s go!" Qin Feiyang smiled.
Fatty turned and led Qin Feiyang into the Grand Pavilion, then headed towards the auction hall. Everywhere they went, the discussions they overheard were all about the Potential Elixir and Qin Feiyang.
"Boss, you’re truly a household name now! Even three-year-olds know your name," Fatty snickered.
Qin Feiyang glared at him and sent a voice transmission, "Cut the nonsense. Go and find out if the various Princes have arrived."
"No need to ask. They’re all here, but there’s a problem," Fatty replied via voice transmission, his brow furrowing.
"What problem?" Qin Feiyang was puzzled.
"They’ve all brought two guards each," Fatty continued via voice transmission. "And they’ve probably realized you’ll target them, so they’re all extremely vigilant. It’ll be very difficult to find an opportunity to make a move on them."
"If there’s no opportunity, then we create one. In any case, they must die today!" Qin Feiyang muttered, an astonishing killing intent flashing in his eyes.
Soon, they entered a VIP room. The decor was quite simple. An exquisite tea table stood in the center, with five chairs neatly arranged beside it. Although simple, it was not understated; both the floor and walls were inlaid with magnificent golden jades. And at the front, a transparent floor-to-ceiling window offered a clear view of the scene outside.
Qin Feiyang leaned back in a chair, gazing through the window at the auction hall below. It was still early before the auction, but the hall was already bustling with a dense crowd.
Fatty glanced outside. "Boss, I’ll go find out which VIP rooms the Princes are in."
"Be careful. Don’t blow your cover," Qin Feiyang cautioned.
"Relax! When Master Fatty handles things, you can rest assured," Fatty said with a confident smile, then hurried out.
Qin Feiyang looked outside, silent. For a moment, the room was enveloped in a dead silence.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Suddenly, a knock on the door shattered the quiet.
"Come in," Qin Feiyang said.
The door opened gently, and a man and a woman entered one after the other. Both appeared to be in their early twenties. The man was handsome, the woman youthful and beautiful. Both were dressed in spotless, pristine white robes and carried themselves with an excellent disposition.
Qin Feiyang observed these two unfamiliar faces. "And you are?" he asked.
"I am Li Li," the young man in white cupped his hands and said with a polite smile. "And this is my cousin, Li Rong. We’ve taken the liberty of visiting. If we’ve disturbed you, Brother, please forgive us."
The woman in white also curtsied to Qin Feiyang.
"Li Li? Li Rong?" Qin Feiyang frowned slightly. He had no recollection of them at all. "Do I know you?"
"This is our first meeting, so naturally, we don’t know each other," the young man in white said with a smile. "May I ask your esteemed name, Brother?"
"Wang Hao," Qin Feiyang replied, inventing a name on the spot.
"Wang Hao..." The young man in white mulled it over for a moment, then smiled. "The character ’Wang’ for kings, and ’Hao’ for vast righteousness. Brother Wang, your name is truly extraordinary! A pleasure, a pleasure!"
"Eh!" Qin Feiyang was taken aback. Kings of the world, vast righteousness? This person’s imagination is a bit too rich, isn’t it?
"Do you need something?" he asked, looking at them, puzzled. Since they didn’t know each other, why come looking for him? Were they mad?
The young man in white glanced at Qin Feiyang and chuckled. "Brother Wang, are you perhaps thinking that my cousin and I are mad?"
Qin Feiyang was surprised. This man was remarkably good at reading people!
"It seems I guessed correctly." The young man in white smiled, showing no offense. "I’ve come merely to ask Brother Wang if we might share this space."
"Share this space?" Qin Feiyang paused, then frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Look outside; it’s a sea of people, with nowhere to even stand," the young man in white said with a smile. "The other VIP rooms are all booked. Those who booked them are mostly influential figures from the capital. Lacking both strength and background, I wouldn’t dare approach them. So, I came to try my luck with Brother Wang."
"So, I take it you didn’t reserve a room beforehand and now you want to squeeze in here with me?" Qin Feiyang asked.
"Precisely," the young man in white nodded.
"Is that so?" Qin Feiyang’s eyes narrowed slightly. The excuse seemed rather far-fetched. The auction hall was huge; there were plenty of places to stand. Why single him out?
"Actually, I feel quite embarrassed to disturb you, Brother Wang," the young man in white continued with a smile. "But I truly had no other choice. Look at my cousin, a young, innocent maiden. If she were to be squeezed in with that crowd outside, wouldn’t it be like a lamb entering a tiger’s den? So, I implore you, Brother Wang, to lend a helping hand and accommodate us. Besides, this room is quite spacious. Two more people won’t inconvenience you much, will they?"
Qin Feiyang shook his head. "I’m sorry, I don’t like being with strangers." It was clear these siblings had ulterior motives. He couldn’t risk keeping such a potential threat around.
"Alas!" The young man in white sighed softly. "Brother Qin, why won’t you trust people? I truly bear no ill will."
"Brother Qin?" Qin Feiyang froze, a sharp light suddenly glinting in his eyes. "What did you just call me?" he demanded.
"Brother Qin!" the young man in white replied, looking at Qin Feiyang. Then, he slapped his forehead in annoyance. "How could I have let that slip?" he muttered.
"Who are you, really?" Qin Feiyang shot to his feet, his icy gaze sweeping over the two.
"Brother Qin, don’t misunderstand, please don’t misunderstand..." The young man in white quickly waved his hands. "I swear to you, we genuinely mean no harm."
"Then how do you know my identity?" Qin Feiyang asked in a low voice. He hadn’t told anyone he was coming to the Grand Pavilion. Yet these two had not only sought him out specifically but also knew who he was. Could that be a coincidence? No, it must have been premeditated!
Faced with Qin Feiyang’s pressing gaze, the young man in white gave a helpless smile and nodded. "Alright, I admit it. Lu Xingchen told me."
"Him?" Qin Feiyang’s eyebrows rose. "I don’t recall telling him I’d be coming to the Grand Pavilion."
"You didn’t tell him, indeed," the young man in white explained. "But he guessed you were planning to deal with the various Princes. And the auction of the Potential Elixir is undoubtedly the best opportunity for that."
Qin Feiyang frowned. This man... he’s truly prescient. Someone you barely know can read your mind. It’s like standing naked before him, with no secrets left. Qin Feiyang deeply disliked this feeling.
After a moment’s thought, Qin Feiyang asked again, "Even so, how did you recognize me?" He was, after all, in disguise. Even those constantly around him might not recognize him.
The young man in white shook his head and smiled. "That, I’m afraid, is my personal secret. I cannot tell you, Brother Qin."
A glint flashed in Qin Feiyang’s eyes. "You and Lu Xingchen are just alike, both shrouded in mystery."
"You flatter me, you flatter me. So, Brother Qin, may we stay here?" the young man in white asked with a smile.
Qin Feiyang returned to his seat and looked out at the auction hall. "As long as you don’t get in my way, do as you please."
"Then, many thanks, Brother Qin." The young man in white cupped his hands in gratitude and then led Li Rong to sit on the right side of the tea table.
Just then, the door was pushed open without warning, and Fatty rushed in.
"Boss..." But as he was about to speak, he stopped. Why were there two strangers here?
He walked over to Qin Feiyang’s side in confusion and asked via voice transmission, "Boss, who are they?"
"I don’t know either," Qin Feiyang replied via voice transmission.
Fatty was bewildered. "If you don’t know them, why are they here?" he transmitted.
"I don’t know them, but they know me," Qin Feiyang transmitted gravely. "They even know why we’ve come to the Grand Pavilion."
"What?" Fatty stared at Li Li and Li Rong in astonishment.
The young man in white cupped his hands and smiled. "Brother Situ, a pleasure to meet you."
Fatty was utterly incredulous. He even recognized Master Fatty?
"Never mind them," Qin Feiyang transmitted. "What did you find out?"
"I’ve got it," Fatty transmitted. "They’re in VIP rooms One and Twelve, respectively."
"How many of them came in total?" Qin Feiyang asked.
"Twelve," Fatty replied. "It’s all the ones you know well, from the Second Prince to the Fifteenth Prince."
"Excellent that they came," Qin Feiyang murmured, his suppressed killing intent beginning to stir restlessly.
