Immortal in Horror Game: She is the Fortune Teller!-Chapter 30 - 28: Escape (Bonus - )
She lifted her skirt and went downstairs. Cherry was in the living room, sitting in a recliner by the fireplace, reading a book, with a blanket covering her legs.
Seeing her so leisurely, Susanna secretly rolled her eyes. When she looked up again, her eyes and nose were red, and tears were about to fall from her eyes.
"Mommy..." Susanna threw herself at Cherry’s legs, pitifully hugging them.
Cherry was taken aback: "What’s wrong, child? Who bullied you?"
Susanna anxiously cried, "Please go plead with Daddy! Josh has been locked up for 23 hours already, and she hasn’t even had a sip of water."
She raised her head, a crystal tear sliding down her cheek, heart-breakingly pitiful.
Cherry looked at her with a touch of emotion: "My kind-hearted child, if only she had half your kindness, she wouldn’t be suffering like this today."
Susanna shook her head while crying: "I just went to her room’s door to try to talk to her, to persuade her to give in to Daddy, but there was no response. I think she must have fainted. Let Daddy release her."
Cherry hesitated: "But distinguished guests have just arrived at the house, and your Daddy is hosting them in the meeting room with your elder brother."
Susanna felt a bit disdainful. If distinguished guests really visited, how could she not know?
Daddy and her brothers loved to take her along to entertain important guests.
If they didn’t call her, then it wasn’t a really revered guest.
She couldn’t let this delay her important matters!
Susanna was a bit anxious: "Mommy, please save sister. There’s no noise from her inside, and I’m so worried!"
Cherry looked at her somewhat helplessly: "Alright, wait a moment. I’ll get the key to open the door and see what tricks she’s up to again."
The two were heading upstairs when Dalton hurriedly came down from above. Seeing them, he sighed with relief: "I was just about to look for you both."
Cherry frowned at his anxious look: "What’s going on? Walking so rashly?"
Dalton tapped his finger on Susanna’s forehead: "It’s because of this little girl. Mother, have you forgotten? The Divine-level Item will be permanently bound if not traded within 24 hours, and there’s only one hour left."
Susanna’s heart leaped with joy. He truly was her good second brother!
But the act still needed to be played.
She couldn’t help but reveal an angry expression in her anxiety: "Sister is so hungry there’s no sound from her room. Who still cares about some broken item? Quickly let sister out!"
Dalton looked at Susanna with amusement: "Sister, you really are..."
Not wanting to waste time in the hallway, Susanna grabbed the key from Cherry’s hand and ran upstairs.
Dalton hurried after her, not forgetting to glance back at Cherry: "Mother, quickly follow! We need you to subdue Josh and force her to hand over the item."
Cherry thought a moment, lifted her skirt, and followed.
Dalton was right; the Divine-level Item card was more important than Josh.
Such a rare item. In Susan’s hands, her future in the God Creation Game would be so bright!
The stronger she is, the higher she stands, and the more chances she has to be noticed by the nobles.
Susanna, so beautiful and kind, should pair with a noble family’s child!
If it stays with Josh, not only is it useless, but she might even use it to cause trouble, implicating the Augustine family!
When they opened the door and entered, Josh was sitting cross-legged by the window, back straight, with a strange posture of both hands.
"Josh! Wake up!" Susanna dashed over.
Josh, initially meditating, was startled awake by Susanna, almost causing a dangerous interruption.
She coldly tossed Susanna away: "What are you doing?"
Susanna exaggeratedly fell to the ground, her delicate palm scraped by the sand on the floor.
"You! How dare you!" Cherry hurried over, sharply reprimanding: "Who allowed you to lay hands on Susanna?!"
Susanna cried in pain with tears flowing: "Mother, don’t worry, I... I’m fine, it doesn’t hurt!"
Dalton’s expression turned cold: "Josh, do you have a death wish?"
Cherry helped Susanna up, then coldly looked at Josh: "Hand over your item to Susanna!"
Josh just found it ridiculous: "What if I don’t?"
Cherry activated spiritual suppression: "Don’t force me to act against you!"
She was a C-level Spiritual Power User, more than enough to suppress a mere F-level spiritual weakling.
Josh felt her mind being attacked and quickly rallied spiritual power to resist.
But Cherry’s pressure was too strong; she couldn’t hold out for long.
Josh’s eyes flickered, and suddenly her hands shot out Spider Silk, entangling all three of them.
The three present had not anticipated that someone who had just acquired a weapon could comprehend a new skill so quickly, nor did they expect her to dare make a move.
Caught unawares, the three were genuinely trapped in the web.
Leveraging the force of the Spider Silk, Josh rapidly maneuvered toward the door, smacking Susanna hard across the face as she passed by: "Pah! Little white lotus!"
"Ah!" Susanna screamed, covering her face: "Mommy, she actually hit me!"
Even Susanna was infuriated, unable to hold back a resentful expression.
Fortunately, Cherry was caught off guard by the web and didn’t notice her expression.
Standing at the door, Josh pulled on the Spider Silk in her palm, tightening the web in the room instantly.
The three of them were bundled into a large package.
Josh sneered coldly, pulling the webbed package with her left hand, while extending her right hand to shoot out more Spider Silk, rapidly tightening it.
With this powerful pull, Josh dragged the three along as she swiftly navigated the corridor.
The servants, hearing thumping crashes from above, looked up.
They watched as Josh swiftly sprinted down from upstairs, dragging a huge package behind her. The package tumbled down the stairs with screams from inside.
"I think I heard the lady’s voice."
"No, it was Miss Susanna."
"No, no, it was clearly Master Dalton’s voice."
Josh knew this was merely taking advantage of their unpreparedness to succeed.
A C-level Spiritual Power User like Cherry could beat her as if it were child’s play.
Josh only committed a slight mischief, quickly retracting her move and escaping using the Spider Silk.
The Spider Silk was thin like human hair but had the tough attributes of octopus tentacles, making it particularly handy.
However, she lost control of her direction and accidentally collided with a large car by the roadside.
The car window rolled down, and a bleary-eyed person removed their sunglasses, squinting at her with lengthy eyes, tapping her head: "Where did this kid come from? Go play somewhere else!"
Josh didn’t manage to dodge, stunned by the appearance of the person in front of her.
"Mer...Mermaid King?" Josh looked at him in horror: "Did you escape from the instance?"
