In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]-Chapter 220: Unprecedented Take Over (5)
"Look at them go." Rise chuckled, watching the situation below. His gaze followed the organized formation. He found it extremely pleasing to the eye, especially watching them from this height.
Only that it was not a performance for him but an actual formation for an upcoming battle. In no time, the whole building was already surrounded.
His eyes noticed that most buildings around were now empty.
"Heh. I should thank them later." Those foolish leaders made it easier for Rise to take over this city.
Casualties among the leaders were inevitable, something the clan leaders expected. However, if more civilians were affected, their guilt might pile up.
Rise might not care about their feelings, whether they resent him to their bones, but there was no need to be so antagonistic either if it could be avoided.
Rise clung to Kamille’s arms as they floated right above the building where the meeting was taking place.
"Guild Leader, how long will it take for you to refine this world?" He shifted his gaze and looked at Kamille.
After a guiding session, there was an obvious change with him. Kamille was slowly adapting to the changes in his personality, and his crimson pupils were a shade lighter.
"I’ll need thirty minutes."
It was already the fastest time Kamille could afford without destroying this world. Simply speaking, a few hours was the safest bet for a smooth takeover.
Kamille was not interested in refining the world longer than that. As his consciousness needed to enter the world origin for the process to begin. He would not be able to help Rise if something happened during that time.
Rise was aware of this process and agreed. Fortunately, he was someone who could stand on his own. Kamille was just overly protective.
Rise was enjoying such attention, though.
"Don’t worry about me. No one can approach me if I don’t let them." Not to mention, he had so many powerful guards everywhere.
Rise was the least likely to be harmed in this plan.
"I know." Kamille nodded.
The meeting had already started. Rise was waiting for a signal. This takeover was needed for everyone to be distracted. What was more distracting than a death match?
After all, if it were easy to conquer a world, why would the nobles have had to wear them down first? The principle also applies here.
It was not just taking over the ages; the world’s origin was the most important. It was something the beings beyond the gates craved the most.
The moment that the world origin was disturbed, the natives of this world, especially the ability users who had a unique bond with the world origin, would sense it immediately.
Rise organized this to bind everyone’s feet. His subordinates could only help him fend off their fellow natives. The biggest betrayal of this world was about to take place.
In any case, the Three Nations were traitors as well... right?
One side was more unfortunate than the other. For whose side? Only they knew.
Rise hardly cared about that; he only wanted the outcome to be in his favor.
Kamille chuckled helplessly, seeing the familiar wicked smile on Rise’s lips. His gaze also landed below; they were like ants to them at this height.
Yet, even if they were the same size, Kamille’s view of them remained. They were just ants, someone he could stomp whenever he pleased.
But they live because Kamille ignored them, not bothering to do so.
Not long after, an explosion sounded. The other side of the building was destroyed, debris shattering everywhere.
"There! It’s time!" Rise’s eyes flickered; anticipation rose within him. He let out a laugh and looked at Kamille. "Guild Leader, do it!" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
Kamille quickly nodded at him. "You’ll be able to land safely?"
For safety reasons, and not to be disturbed, Kamille had to stay in the sky. Although no one could harm his physical body while he was in the world of origin, being disturbed was more detrimental to his subconscious.
"I’ll be fine." Rise calmly patted Kamille’s arm, assuring him. He smiled and kissed the other’s lips. "For good luck."
Kamille laughed lightly, amused, and kissed Rise longer this time.
"For better effect," he whispered.
Rise burst out laughing; his Guild Leader playing with his silly antics was something that never failed to make him feel loved.
Below them, the forces outside had begun to move after that explosion. Although it was an unexpected turn of events, they did not panic and continued to be organized.
These were government forces and as such could be able to stay calm. The orders began; some were tasked to stay and secure the periphery, and the others were reinforcements to the chaos inside.
No one doubted that they could win. Clans were strong, but they were in the Central City, and their influence and force were limited.
Just like their superiors, they were far more confident about the situation.
While they were preparing according to the orders, someone shouted. "Look! What’s that?" He was one of those situated at the very far back, meaning they were mostly supports and not the main force.
"Focus!" Some reprimanded him, but the others were curious and also looked in the direction he pointed at.
Their eyes widened slightly, and a clamor happened at the back of the formation. This immediately caught the attention of the batch leader.
"What’s happening?" he frowned. The main force was already getting ready, and some had entered the building, and his own force was here making a fuss over something.
"Look! Someone’s descending!"
The batch leader finally could not help it and looked up as well. He had far more advanced eyesight than the others; he could see the man descending casually from high above.
There was a smile on his face, and as though he noticed the batch leader’s gaze, he winked. Taken aback, the batch commander averted his gaze.
It was only after a few seconds that he recovered and shouted.
"What are you doing? Attack that man!" This order was already too late.
The man had successfully landed on the ground; the impact made the ground shake. And the surrounding forces could not help but stumble on their feet and collapse on the ground.
A massive crater was created where the man landed. Luckily enough, the others had managed to escape, or they might have been trampled into shreds by now.
Their faces paled as they stared at the demon who suddenly descended from the sky.
His silver hair seemed to emphasize the features of his face and the playful smile that lingered on his lips.
