Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 129: Meet with Feyd, Again
Aiden nodded, they didn’t need to prolong this matter because he thought Allana’s attitude showed that she really wanted to change.
"I won’t prolong this matter. I’ll be your escort team leader until you arrive at the Yixia border," Aiden replied.
Feeling there was nothing more to talk about, Aiden left them with Aurora following close behind. They stepped into one of the houses that had been fully prepared for Aiden and his team.
The two of them met up with Amber and the others. Their curiosity aroused, they immediately asked why Allana had called Aiden. However, Aiden could not tell them what had happened.
"Just talking about tomorrow’s plan. Allana, Neil, and I will meet to talk about this," Aiden replied.
"You guys get some rest," Aiden asked them, then turned his head to the side to look at Aurora.
"You too, Aurora," Aiden replied.
"What about you?"
"I have something to do. Maybe I’ll catch up later," Aiden explained.
Aurora shook her head. If Aiden didn’t want to sleep, then she wouldn’t sleep either. She would only rest if he did too.
"Let me come with you," Aurora replied.
Aiden paused, staring into the white-haired girl’s thoughtful eyes. Aiden smiled and nodded, allowing Aurora to come with him.
Because after all, Aiden wasn’t going to do anything bad. He would just go to the Hurd Family residence and ask about Feyd’s whereabouts.
Aurora nodded. She and Aiden left the house and arrived at the door of the Hurd residence. There was a knock on the door, a servant opened it and met Aiden.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Sir Aiden?" the maid asked, and Aiden said yes.
"I’m looking for Feyd’s whereabouts. There’s something I need to ask him," Aiden explained.
"Sir Feyd is not staying at the Hurd Family residence. He’s in his own home."
"Do you know where?" asked Aiden, to which the servant responded with a nod of his head.
He said that Feyd’s residence was quite far from the Hurd family residence. However, the communication between Feyd and the Hurd family was well established thanks to the magic communication thread. The servant explained the route Aiden should take to arrive at the place.
To make a long story short, the location of Feyd’s residence was not in the city center, but it was still within the scope of Dourstad City. Having learned the color details of the man’s house, Aiden and Aurora said goodbye.
They walked away from the place, unaccompanied by a single guard from the Hurd family residence. As Allana watched Aiden leave, she had expected that Aiden and Aurora would go to the Feyd residence.
Aiden and Aurora walked through the streets that were not connected to the city center. They made several turns at intersections and entered a smaller street.
Aiden’s attention was caught by a house with a similar color to what the servant had described. Both of them stopped what they were doing.
"What’s here?" asked Aurora, afraid.
Aiden grasped Aurora’s hand, guarding it as he took in the surrounding area. It was certain that this was Feyd’s house, as the shape and color of the house matched what was described.
Even so, the atmosphere in the house was too quiet and still, even though it wasn’t very late at night. It was enough to make Aiden wary.
Through his sensitive ears, he heard mysterious movements on the roof of the house. Aiden turned his head, seeing them moving quickly.
"Aurora," Aiden called out, and Aurora nodded in understanding.
She pulled out her sword and stuck it into the ground. Aurora activated a protective dome of ice around her, deflecting the small dagger attacks from them.
Six people surrounded the area of Aurora’s ice dome. They appeared to be dressed in mysterious, all-black uniforms with cloaks and face coverings. At first glance, they looked like a group of assassins.
"Hmm, this is interesting. A knight who can use magic," replied a woman from the group.
"They might be stronger than us," said another man.
While Aiden and Aurora were focused on watching them. They were distracted by the sight of a man standing atop the second floor of the house, his appearance so mysterious that Aiden couldn’t quite make out his face.
"Who are you?" the man asked.
"I’m Aiden, she’s Aurora. We’ve come to see Feyd."
People seemed to be silent to each other, they looked at each other as if they didn’t expect any of them to be looking for Feyd’s whereabouts.
The door of the house opened, a short-haired man came out in his long pants and black T-shirt. He stepped out holding a glass of wine, welcoming Aiden and Aurora.
"It seems fate has always brought us together, Sir Aiden," Feyd explained.
"Come in," Feyd pleaded.
He also ordered the other assassins not to disturb Aiden and Aurora, that was because they were Feyd’s guests.
After finding the situation conducive, Aurora stopped her magic and sheathed her sword again. She and Aiden entered the house.
Although it wasn’t as grand as the Hurd Family’s, but what was inside Feyd’s house was enough to catch her attention. From the outside, the house looked like an old mansion, but when you went inside, the architecture and furniture were very luxurious.
From the second floor, Feyd walked up the spiral staircase to arrive at the first floor. He smiled, seeing Aiden and Aurora again. The first thing Feyd gave them was a cup of wine.
"Drink up, you’ll like it," Feyd said.
Aiden nodded. He downed the wine and let it flow down his throat. Again, he felt nothing.
Aurora seemed to close her eyes, her face flushed like a satisfied woman. Aiden squinted, curious about the wine.
"The city of Dourstad is famous for their night parties and wine. Of course our wine is the best of any other city," Feyd replied.
"Would you like some more?" asked Feyd, indicating the remaining bottles of wine.
Aurora cleared her throat. She casually stuck out her hand, showing an empty glass that asked to be filled with wine. Feyd smiled, pouring the wine back to them.
"What is your purpose in coming here, Sir Aiden? Didn’t you know that Mistress Rose went to Lunor City?" Feyd asked.
"I knew. I met her before coming to this city," Aiden replied.
"I came to get information from you, especially about the bandit-prone areas along the road to the Yixia Border," Aiden explained.
Feyd smiled, downing his wine as he stared ahead, "There are many of them. No matter where you go, they will always be there."
"They concentrate in the region near the Yixia Border. However, since that place is busy with wars against other kingdoms, they don’t have time to get rid of the bandits."
"You! You might be able to handle them."
"Me?" asked Aiden.
Feyd nodded, he stepped forward until he was fully standing in front of Aiden. There was a certain meaning to why Feyd said so, it was because Aiden’s ability was almost on par with Mistress Rose.
That way, those bandits wouldn’t be a significant problem for him!
"You have strength, I saw it myself. There has never been a fool who dared to challenge Mistress Rose."
"And you are the only fool who dares to do so."
