Infinite Dragon Beast: Taming Ice Dragons with SSS Ranked Talent-Chapter 93: Aiden Awake
***
Five days later.
The Shadow Dragon Clan really treated them well, although it had to be admitted that there were cynical gazes that were always directed at Aurora due to her dragon clan differences.
They were housed in a spacious room on the fourth floor of the castle, while Rachel slept separately in a special royalty room on the fifth floor. Even so, she often visited Aurora and Aiden’s room just to check on Aiden’s condition.
The palace physicians had come and taken turns curing Aiden’s condition. However, none of them succeeded in doing so. That made them give up and Aurora was forced to do it herself.
The bedroom door opened, startling Aurora who was focused on healing Aiden. When Aurora turned her head, she saw clearly that the person who came to visit was Rachel.
"Sis Aurora. Do you want to come with me to see the festival in the city?" Rachel asked, Aurora smiled while shaking her head.
"There’s no need. I’ll stay here to recover Aiden’s condition," Aurora replied.
"Come on, it’ll only take a minute, it won’t take long. After that, we’ll return to this room to keep him company," Rachel chimed in.
In fact, Rachel was able to get Aurora’s attention by saying that there were many delicious snacks made from fish and sea products. Aurora gasped; she hadn’t eaten anything since noon.
"It’ll only take a minute, Rachel. After we buy the snacks, we’ll return," Aurora explained, warning Rachel.
Rachel nodded. She would firmly obey Aurora’s words, because after all, Aurora was her sister in beast taming despite the different dragon clans. The two decided to leave the palace for the festival area on the street of the capital Miresvoir.
Unbeknownst to them, the prime minister saw their departure from the human’s room. A smirk spread across his face as he took a small dagger from behind his back.
He stepped into the room and saw a human lying helplessly on the bed. The man laughed evilly as he continued to walk forward, he was so disgusted by the existence of humans in the Shadow Dragon palace.
"For thousands of years, there has never been a human living here. For thousands of years, there has never been a human to tame the nobles of the Shadow Dragon clan!" the old man scolded.
The old man took a dagger from his back pocket, pointing it forward to stab Aiden in the heart. He hated humans, but he hated humans who tamed the dragon clan even more.
STAB!
With one swing of the small dagger in his hand, the man struck Aiden right in the heart. Aiden was in shock, vomiting blood in his fainting spell. Seeing this, the prime minister immediately thought that Aiden was dead on the spot.
"HAHA! This way, Princess Rachel will be freed from that human’s clutches," the old man replied.
He looked back slowly, the dagger still embedded in Aiden’s left chest. Not wanting to stay there too long, the prime minister left the scene without anyone noticing.
Not long after Aiden’s heart was pierced, the regeneration process took place again which made the dagger detach from Aiden’s body.
The man opened his eyes to wake up, he tried to get up with all his might, but could only sit on the bed.
"Where am I?" asked Aiden.
His head still felt so dizzy. The last memory he remembered was the moment when he was rescued by Aurora from his fight against Azar.
At that time, Aiden used his 100% regeneration ability to recover his injured body. After that, he felt pain and Aurora began to restore him. In the end, Aiden fell unconscious.
His eyes wandered around his room, clearly seeing the mysterious ornaments with the identical color of black. There, he could not find the whereabouts of Aurora, Rachel, Amber, or Fiona.
"Where are they?" Aiden asked.
Just as Aiden was about to try to stand up, he was startled by the door to the room opening again. It wasn’t his friends who entered, but a mysterious man in a black uniform. Their faces looked shocked when they saw Aiden.
"W-Wait! Why are you still alive?" asked the prime minister, arriving with the Naga Bayang clan’s warrior commander.
"What do you mean? Who are you? Where am I?" asked Aiden, fully alert.
Although his body had not fully recovered, his strength had returned fully. The man didn’t hesitate to draw a fire arrow from his hand, threatening them to speak up immediately.
Aiden’s attention was drawn to a small dagger with fresh blood stains on the blade. He picked up the dagger and saw that it was the same color as their uniforms. That, of course, startled Aiden.
"Are you trying to kill me?" Aiden asked.
"No one is planning to kill you. What are you thinking?" the soldier commander asked, giving Aiden a sharp look.
Aiden paused for a moment, then stared intently at them. It was true that there was no evidence of their association, but the presence of a dagger with fresh blood stains was odd, not to mention the rips in the clothes he was wearing.
Just as Aiden was about to ask further questions, Aurora arrived quickly. She arrived in the room and saw that Aiden had woken up from his fainting spell, which made Aurora happy.
"You’re awake, Aiden," Aurora explained, stepping forward and hugging Aiden’s body.
Rachel did the same. Both of them were so happy that they cried when they saw Aiden awake. Aiden was happy to see them, but he was still suspicious of the two men in black.
"Aurora, Rachel. Where are we?" Aiden asked.
"I forgot to tell you. We’re in Miresvoir, the capital of the Horald Kingdom. This is the Shadow Dragon Clan’s palace," Rachel replied.
"I thought we were going to the Fire Dragon Clan," Aiden said.
"There’s a lot of stuff happening. Amber was taken by Azar, we managed to escape to this kingdom," Rachel explained.
Aiden nodded slowly. He was starting to understand their intense stares at him; there must be something they were hiding, considering the relationship between dragons and humans was not friendly.
"Now everything is clear, gentlemen!"
