Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 322 - 6/7]
If one had a ton of Positive Karma, they'd find themselves randomly winning the lottery or surviving disasters that should've been fatal.

On the other hand, if someone had a sea's worth of Negative Karma, they might just wake up one day and find themselves not in their bed but falling off the side of a cliff!
But for those powerful and knowledgeable enough to properly utilize Karma, it was one of the most valuable things one could obtain.
For example, if a very influential Faction in the Ascension Tower were to recruit a person with high Positive Karma, the entire Faction's luck would spike upward. Contributing a lot in major events also granted a Faction large amounts of Positive or Negative Karma.
This was why so many different Factions and itinerant beings were so interested in the Nexus Event of Humanity's 0th Floor.
ā€” Hoshito, Japan, Earth ā€”
A skip, a hop, and a jump later, Cassius found his way back to his hometown. He walked through the same neighborhood and the same street that he used to jog on when first completing the 1st Daily Quest.
*Rustle, Rustle.*
Noticing something peculiar from inside a grouping of bushes, Cassius's head tilted sideways.
"Is thatā€¦?" he wondered while approaching the bushes.
Seeing a scaly tail pop out from the foliage, his brows furrowed. And with a tug, whatever was attached to the tail was yanked up before being left to dangle in front of him.
"Eeep!"
"Who dares do this to Yiminā€”"
Halfway through her sentence, Yimin's ears perked up. She sniffed the air, slowly spinning toward Cassius's indifferent face while upside down.
"Master!? What are you doing in Yimin's pooping bush!? Waitā€¦ Has Yimin saved you again!??"
Cassius's smile twitched into a glitched state.
"Yiminā€¦ I would lecture you on keeping your racial features a secret, but seeing how close we are to an imminent apocalypse, I'm not even going to bother. Even so, what sort of stuff are you doing in a bush in broad daylight? You do know that bathrooms exist, right? Furthermore, to do what you're doing this close to the Mansionā€¦ I can already imagine the reputation you've garnered for us among the neighbors."
Yimin didn't understand a lick of what he was saying.
She did, however, really, really want to lick his face!
His body and everything else as well!
Realizing this, Cassius sighed, shaking his head.
"You're hopelessā€¦" he murmured.
"Yimin loves you too, Master!" Yimin said, hearts swirling within her eyes. She reached out her hands, attempting to grab and hug her Master.
However, each and every attempt ended in failure as she swung her arms while Cassius pushed her face away from him.
'I've been gone for what? Like a few hours for her??' he thought, disgruntled. 'I, on the other hand, haven't seen her or the other girls for the better part of a century! So why is she the one acting as if I've been gone for years and years!?'
Maybe he was the weird one for not getting so emotionalā€¦
That notion lingered in his mind for a while.
And while it stirred within him, he had somehow made his way to the front door of his mansion. Hanging onto his waist, snuggling like a koala, was his pet dragon-girl, but she was more of a clingy decoration than anything.
'Still, although I'll never admit it to her myselfā€¦' he thought, fondly staring at Yimin, 'I've missed her company.
Ifā€¦ If I had someone like her with me during my time in the White Space, perhaps I wouldn't have been so close to losing my sanity so many timesā€¦'
While softly petting her head with one hand, Cassius knocked on the door to his home a total of six times, doing so with a specific rhythm.
*Thud, Thud, Thud!*
Almost immediately, he heard several sets of footsteps from inside the mansion.
This urged a small smile onto his face.
And though he wouldn't say it aloud, he was glad that his memory of them didn't deviate from reality.
Just then, the front door to the mansion slammed open, and out came a pile of girls.
A few of them tripped because of how fast they were moving, causing them to fall over onto each other and cry out.
"Hey! Why'd you do that!? That really hurt, ya know?!"
"Itā€¦ It might have been partially my fault; I'm sorryā€¦"
"Look, look, my Love! I have more Rank 6 Vampire Blood just for you!"
"Hey, where'd the creepy red-eyed floozy come from!? How'd she just appear like that?!?"
While a crazy vampire chick shoved vials of shiny blood in Cassius's face and the other girls tried getting up off the ground, an Egyptian Beauty in the back spoke up:
"Back so soon?" Hellion commented, sipping on tea in the same way as the day before.
"Are you about ready to discuss that important matter? The deadline is fast approaching."
As she looked in Cassius's direction, her irises briefly shimmered with a pink darkness.
But with her skills, she was easily able to conceal her true feelings.
Even she herself refused to acknowledge her own problem, which meant that there was no way in hell she would allow anyone elseā€”especially not the target of her affectionā€”to figure out her feelings.
"I suppose so," Cassius said, rubbing his chin.
"But it'll have to wait until after the World's End Gate Raid concludes. After all, none of what we'll talk about will mean anything if I'm dead and the world perishes."
Although he told it as a joke, his words instantly froze the expressions of all the girls.
They all looked at him as if they had just seen a ghost, a bit of melancholy mixing in with their pale skin.
"You shouldn'tā€¦" Stella mumbled, voice cracked.
"You shouldn't speak about something like thatā€¦"
"I agree," Sasha said, suddenly very serious.
"Talking about your own death like thatā€¦ it's not funny. None of us want to even imagine such a thing, let alone live to see a day where it becomes a reality."
