Chapter 339: Gifts and Coronation

[Human Kingdom - Capital.]

The air in the capital was electric. After the catastrophic battle, the relief and excitement were boundless. Sunny, the man they knew as ’Mr. Alex’—the enigmatic figure who had brought prosperity, security, and now, against all odds, defeated a cosmic foe—was to be crowned King. The city was festooned with banners and garlands, buzzing with guests from every corner of the Human Kingdom.

Notable in their absence were the Wendigo King and the elf Queen, a political snub that only elevated the local celebration. The commoners were the happiest; to them, Sunny’s origin as a "non-human" mattered less than his deeds. He was their champion and savior.

Yet, while the kingdom celebrated, the focus of the day was asleep. Sunny was still in the royal castle, deep in a slumber. The forced breakthrough to the Seventh Order—the permanent integration of the Primordial Stone power—had taken a heavy toll on his body, demanding a full day of recuperation.

The door to the royal chambers opened softly. Josephine, radiant in a flowing white dress adorned with sapphire blue gemstones, slipped in. She stood by the foot of the bed, a playful exasperation on her face.

"You know today is your coronation, right?" she asked, walking toward the bed and smoothly yanking the sheets away.

"The castle is packed with powerful, influential families who hold massive sway over the Human Kingdom’s economy and governance. You need to meet them all, or they’ll think you don’t respect their power." She stood with her arms crossed, staring down at him.

"Yeah... I know," Sunny mumbled, opening one eye. "But what are those people’s business to me? Can’t I at least sleep for five more minutes?"

Josephine sighed, leaning over. "The Qin family controls the majority of trades, imports, and exports. The Xin family runs all major medical centers and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The powerful Blade family controls metal production and can manufacture Elite-class military equipment. I shouldn’t even bother mentioning the others... As the King, you must court them."

She ran a hand over her forehead. "Why am I explaining all this to you? This isn’t your first kingdom, Sunny."

Sunny chuckled, suddenly sitting up. He reached out, grabbed her hand, and pulled. Unprepared for the sudden shift, Josephine tumbled onto his lap.

"Hey!"

"In Eldoria, I built everything from scratch. I installed my own loyalists," he explained, resting his chin on her shoulder. "This place? These positions are filled by families I don’t fully trust. Out of all of them, I only trust the Qin Family somewhat. If I wanted, I could remove them all and install people loyal to me."

"That is a recipe for countless troubles," Josephine warned, lightly tapping his nose. "These families are rooted here, holding power before we even thought of entering the Upper World. Yes, we are infinitely stronger than them, but we don’t have their deep-seated networks. If they combined, they could easily ignite a civil war among the nobles."

"Do you want that?"

Sunny thought for a moment, then nodded decisively. "Then I will buy them. Money talks, even to ancient families."

"Hmm... that might work," she conceded. "And on a different note, I have a feeling something bad will happen today. An attack seems certain."

"Don’t worry," Sunny said, kissing her lips lightly. "I know our enemies will try to attack us today. We just need to be ready when they do." He finally got to his feet.

"After the Coronation, I will wipe out the Wendigo Kingdom from the Upper World entirely. Their lands and territories will give us the base we need to finally start my main plan."

"Plan? What plan?" Josephine asked, tilting her head, sensing the immense scale of what he was hinting at.

"I plan to move Eldoria to the Upper World," Sunny stated simply, his words stunning Josephine into a daze.

"Move Eldoria?! That is millions of people, if we’re counting everyone under our flag! How is that possible?" she asked, staring at him.

"I know," Sunny confirmed. "I plan to get stronger here, establish my reputation, and expand the Human Kingdom’s territory. When the time is right, the entire population of Eldoria will leave the Lower World and enter this realm. Not only that, we will bring our technologies with us and upgrade this world. They’ll need cars, advanced medicine, and eventually, battleships here."

He tapped his system screen, and a holographic window popped up, displaying the face of a smiling, cute young girl.

"Dad, Mum!" Ellen greeted them cheerfully.

Sunny sat back down, pulling Josephine closer so Ellen could see them both. "How are you doing, honey?" Josephine asked with a bright smile.

"I am good! Everything here is running smoothly. Um..." Ellen paused, a flicker of nervousness crossing her features. "Mum, is your birthday next month? You kept it a secret."

Josephine chuckled, genuinely surprised. "Don’t worry about it, sweetie. We will come back to celebrate it together."

"Huh? But you said you would be gone for six months," Ellen replied, clearly confused.

"How to put this... Your father kind of found a way to significantly increase our strength," Josephine explained, her smile bright. "I am already a Third-Order, and he is a Seventh-Order. We have enough power now. Besides, I don’t think I can increase my strength for the time being."

"Wow! That’s so fast! Is everyone there advancing this quickly?" Ellen asked, her eyes shining with awe.

"Oh no," Sunny answered. "We are the only ones this fast." He continued: "Is everything truly okay there? Anyone troubling Eldoria?"

He was probing. He could sense the latent tension in Ellen’s emotions via their bond, despite her cheerful facade:

’She’s hiding her true feelings well. She’s definitely improving her emotional control,’ he mused.

"There... There is nothing wrong, Dad. You two should have fun. I will be waiting for you. And Mum, I will keep your present waiting," Ellen insisted, disconnecting the call before they could press her further.

"It felt like she was hiding something from us," Josephine said, her smile instantly turning into a concerned frown.

"I haven’t received any major alerts from my cosmic brain network (A.K.A system). So it’s likely something she and Jinx can handle," Sunny said, standing up and walking towards the bathroom. "Besides, in one month, we will be going back to celebrate your birthday with the family."

"Love, are you sure I won’t be able to rank up again?" Josephine asked, looking up at him with a sad expression.

"It’s not permanent. Morgana explained that you can only safely stop at the Fourth Order for now," he explained:

"You will have to stop cultivating so the kids can manage your strength and grow safely."

’I don’t even fully understand the physics of it myself. With the power of those three kids inside her, does she truly need to stop her growth? Well, caution is always better when dealing with such pregnancies,’ he thought privately.

Josephine slowly nodded, a hint of sadness remaining. "So you won’t take me with you on the next mission?"

"Once we land in the Lower World, the restrictions on the Lower World will be utterly destroyed by our power. I am sure Lester Blood will rush to attack us almost immediately. We will fight there, and we will win," he said, placing his hand on the bathroom door.

"Then, immediately after, I will initiate the protocol to move Eldoria to the Upper World. Everyone will get stronger faster here... You will have to stay with everyone when I will venture to the great world."

"Okay," Josephine slowly nodded, and Sunny walked inside.

[Lower World - Eldoria Castle.]

Ellen stood alone on the Eldorian throne platform, the communication screen dissolving before her. She moved her gaze to Jinx, Star, Nioh, and the other commanders gathered in the hall.

"So, what is the latest news?" she asked, her voice calm, utterly belying the nervousness she had just hidden from her parents. She sat regally on her smaller throne beside her parents’ empty seats.

"The Elves Nation is launching a full-scale assault on Eldoria tomorrow," Nioh reported, his face grim. "They have already taken control of numerous peripheral planets, and even Planet Gaia has been seized." He looked up at Ellen with blatant confusion.

"My Princess, why aren’t you letting us fight back? We can crush the Elves in one decisive attack."

"What’s the fun in that, Commander?" Ellen asked, a chilling smile appearing on her face—a perfect, subtle mimicry of her father’s cunning.

"They are taking our territories, and by now, they will be thinking Eldoria is weak without the King and Queen, perhaps easy prey. Even the Ogres, who are slowly regaining their strength, have already started eyeing us." She sighed softly, a master strategist at the age of twelve:

"If we rush forward and instantly stop these petty attacks, they will know we are strong, and they will never reveal their true intentions... Not only that, they’ll be ready."

"Let them attack us," she commanded, her voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. "Once they commit their full forces and we crush all of their invading armies, we will immediately attack their nations. I want the Elves’ and Ogres’ thrones by tomorrow night."

She moved her gaze, holding the eyes of each commander, her young features stern. "That is the surprise gift I will be giving my mother for her birthday. The Elves’ and Ogres’ thrones will make a perfect present."

The commanders slowly nodded their heads, their confusion replaced by grim understanding of their Princess’s ruthless, calculated strategy.
